Kim tae Ri is pretty tan. I’m not sure if they spray tan on her to make her appear darker (because tae ri tans easily & becomes light as well) but they definitely put lighter makeup on her as the show progresses since Jeong Nyeon is currently living in Seoul now & not out in the sun in Mokpo. They also made her hair less scruffy.

Lee Se Young. This is her first big screen role since she’s is a theatre actress who is best friend with Kim Tae Ri. She has credit on asianwiki.

Yes it’s very theatrical! she’s performing on stage like an actual theatre performer rather than an actress portraying a theatre performer.

And this role was written with Kim Tae Ri in mind. She was the first choice to play Jeong Nyeon since Jeong Nyeon (the Webtoon character) was inspired by Tae Ri’s performance as Sook Hee in the handmaiden.

She sees jeong nyeon as a threat to ok gyeongs’position as prince at least that’s what I think. Since Maeran is dependent on Ok Gyeong as the main star that attracts audience to pay to see them. maybe she doesn’t like the attention Ok Gyeong is giving to Jeong Nyeon also.

Juran doesn’t realize it yet herself but just needs a bit more confidence. It’s nice to see her break out of her shell. Yeongseo is enjoying her own performance this time.

A little tidbit, the actress Se Young who plays Do Aeng is actually Kim Tae Ri’s best friend in real life so it was nice to see Jeong Nyeon & Do Aeng scenes together. I hope we get more scenes of them in the second half of the drama. I love their dynamic in the Webtoon.

What Jeong Nyeon did was wrong ofcourse. She has the skills but lacks discipline. But Jeong Nyeon’s performance shows that Jeong Nyeon is truly meant for bigger roles. Yeong Seo & Juran practice scenes together 🤭 Jeong Nyeon was really jealous 😭

Kim Tae Ri last minute performance at the end of ep 6 was magnetic. She really commanded the scene! Her energy, her gestures & her singing. She proves that every drama she does she is main role material! I also love Ye Eun & Woo Davi performance as precious & gomigeol. The cast is doing a fantastic.
