Hello, in episode 8 they said Zhang Qi is Zhang zeng's son, who died with wangquan hongye at battle outside the border. He was played by Ding yuxi in love in pavillion. But Zhang Zheng and Qing Mu yuan both died in LIP, they weren't married. How did he suddenly have a son? What am I missing?

Watched till episode 12, I am so disappointed with peng xiao ran screen time so far. It's even less screen time than a support lead, forget a main lead role. It's very misleading that she's billed as main lead when she's clearly not! I was so excited to finally see her drama after long, guess I'll have to keep waiting and hopefully next time she's actually the main lead.

Yes I would agree in general, but the second prince seems like a nice guy! I would also prefer FSG as emperor in the end, but as long as evil Murong dad and son as well as the evil Empress get torturous deaths, and the second crown prince gets a wise guide, I don't mind an ending of FSG and FYX living far away in peace and love.

It wouldn't be so bad, it feels like they deserve happiness after everything they've been through.

He has not indicated in any way that he likes Jong hee except for as a sister. So no, I don't want them to ruin their friendship and force a romantic relationship.

Same! Ever since I started Cdramas, I've been in a kdrama slump! Reducing episode number from 16 to 12 episodes has created major issues with story continuity and editing of episodes. This was the first kdrama that caught my attention in 2025 and I thought I would be able to complete it, but will drop it now. Since the time skip, things have gone downhill.
Thank God for "Fated Hearts", to keep me going after this disaster. It's on its way to being my favorite cdrama of 2025.
