One of the best romances I’ve watched this year in general. It did come with the angst prepared but the emotions and relationships both romantic and familial is top notch. I would have liked more moments with them after they got together tho.

The OSTs of this tho 😩 I’ve been listening to Crush’s Love you with all my heart since this drama ended. It’s making me picture all the scenes.

The show was really good at tugging the viewer’s emotions tho ngl. Despite its flaws this is one of those shows I’m gonna be thinking about over the years, and even watch again in a while

Plot was avg but the actors gave their top tier performance.
Exactly this

More like viewers in tears cause I laughed and cried a lot. Kim Soo hyun just keeps improving in his acting. Kim Ji was also so good in this, I’ve always liked her but now I have to go back and watch some of her past dramas. Park Sung hoon as Yoon Eun sung annoyed me till the end but you can’t say he wasn’t giving it his all in the acting. I even decided to start The Glory cause of him 😂. Everyone of the actors were great here

First of all I enjoyed it. But I enjoyed the second half more than the first half. It started out with the old and tiring stereotype of MISCOMMUNICATION 😑

The miscommunication was so bad that the male and female lead could be talking about something and get very completely different things at the same. And that annoyed me so bad. Another hated trope of mine was also the destiny trope. Not only had they met twice and liked each other as teens but even at childhood when he saved her. It’s so unnecessary, they could have told their story well regardless of all that.

Also how is the SML able to completely take over as Hae-in’s fiancé in Germany and he could just bribe the director of the hospital just like that for him and his full staff to not say anything. That had me rolling my eyes so bad. He was able to convince the FL of his role in her life with virtually no concrete evidence, she hated her family and husband instantly based on what he told her? Someone she also just ‘met’, where’s the common sense. The evilness of the female villain to sell out her own son all for the sake of greed is wild. All these things made the show have a bit of makjang element.

And this is this writer’s style. The high profile beautiful actors with some high profile cameos sprinkled in. The over-use of flashbacks, flash forwards and epilogues that actually tell more than the main episode had to say. The manipulative tug at one’s heartstrings. The neatly tied bow at the end of the series. And of course the “we’re so destined for one another that we’ve met multiple times in the past and had significant impact on each other’s lives”. These were so prevalent in My love from another star, crash landing on you and this.

I would have rated it higher cause I really enjoyed the show but these overuse of tropes annoyed me too much.

there are alot of frustrations in the story but the acting ,casting and production is so well done. Only thing…
My eye almost entered my brain with how hard I eye-rolled when they showed them meeting as teenagers 🙄 like what was the need for that

Before this ep 5 I was so sure her sickness was not real. Because she was only getting checkups in one particular hospital with the same doctor. I was so sure that doctor was paid off by someone (Yoon eun sung, Grace or step girlfriend as part of whatever it is they’re planning for the Hong family). But with her going to Germany where they also did tests and Yoon eun sung looking genuinely confused about her looking sick, I’m now confused about my initial theory 😩

why do i not feel fulfilled with their reunion in the end ???
Cause it was so sudden and they didn’t really straighten out the misunderstandings 🤷🏽‍♀️
On I Cannot Reach You Feb 28, 2024
The acting wasn’t all that great but it was just a feel good romance drama with lots of angst, surprisingly, but mostly because they just won’t finish their sentences or conversations 🤦🏾‍♀️ But the chemistry was definitely there and it was enjoyable.

A refreshing female lead that kept it up till the end. Rare. ML was actually such a nice guy, forget his dealings with his female co-stars they deserved it, he treated everyone fairly. And he was so cute and naive in a way. It felt like it was just the actor’s real character or maybe he was just good at selling it.

I could see how ML fell in love with female lead cause she was so different from the women he we used to. But I wish they spent more time on how female lead fell in love cause it just felt too sudden especially for someone that’s so skeptical of men and love in general.

Once they got together tho it was a very cute and realistic relationship. Loved it.

CEO and best friend’s relationship was just forgettable, nothing stands out there

Off to watch the og version since I’ve been hearing so many great things about it
I searched YouTube cause chinese/ Taiwanese dramas are usually there for free and subbed without the numerous pop-ups with these sites.

Thanks for the link

I've had that happen many times. It happens and sometimes you don't even realize it. I once had a friend in 1st…
Since you were in the same class in 1st grade, you were probably seeing the person everyday, you saw how they walked, how they speak, there were things about that person you were noticing over time that got stuck in your brain even if you thought you didn’t remember him. But to meet someone for a minute 7 years ago is a different thing I think

Title A Time Called You Spoiler
You know how you watch some fantasy series and even if it’s so fantastical it feels so real and makes sense. Well this ain’t one of those ones. The logic of this world was not well explained in my opinion. Things were definitely tied up in the end but it still left you scratching your head on the things they’ve “explained”. Regardless I liked how it ended. When others were saying the ending was bittersweet I was expecting something more on the bitter side.

One thing I really appreciated was the acting of our main cast. It’s my first time watching Jeon Yeo been and Kang hoon and they were acting their asses off, Ahn Hyo seop has his moments but he comes across as unnatural sometimes. I’m still yet to determine if his actual smile always looks that forced or he’s trying his hardest to act.

My main issues is with the plot of the show. If the future people are what influenced the past people’s lives, then what caused the future people to influence it in the first place. It’s never explained the actual origin of the time travelling. For example, future chanyoung carried young chanyoung around to teach him how to take care of a specimen but who taught the future chanyoung himself. What first influenced what, it’s like the chicken and the egg situation. Kwon minju died in 1998 and we find out it all started with the interference of the future Jun hee. But even in the future before any interference Kwon min ju really did die in 1998. So how is it all because of the time travel when this was something that already happened originally. They did not explain everything well in my opinion. In trying to be brilliant, the story ended up being too complicated.

One more thing, the love story was not convincing enough for one that could transverse through time and space. It was not an epic romance. Ironically, they were not given enough time in any of the timelines to convince me of their love
On King the Land Sep 10, 2023
Just started ep 2 and…

🤔 How does one perfectly remember someone they met for like a minute 7 years ago.

Them remembering the tiger shirt/ pervert situation isn’t that surprising but remembering each other’s faces is a little too ridiculous. Even Gu won’s secretary (No Sang sik) and that female staff remembering each other. I want to have perfect memory like these people.

The constant lip biting and shouting “aish” combo from Jin Chae hee and Oh min hye annoyed me so much not gonna lie 😩

I wouldn’t say any of the acting really impressed me in this but everyone did what was needed. Kdrama writers/ directors and their need for non-emotive MLS has to go tho cause I was highly frustrated with Han joon kyung just being there… giving nothing

Park gyu young and Lee Chung ah were okay in this. The story was able to hook me from the start and I just had to see it till the end. It wasn’t the most well written but it was definitely captivating. 👍🏾

Title True to Love
Just finished ep 5 and I feel the breakup is taking a little too much time for a 14 eps drama. I’m not mad at their decision to go the lack of self love/ self respect route of her being so pathetic and begging the man to take her back after he cheated on her and disrespected her. The thing is that I’m already pre-emptively judging how they’re gonna resolve it.

We know self love and respect is a constant battle but knowing kdramas they’re not gonna delve into the bigger issue of why she’s clinging onto this man so much when it doesn’t even look like she loves him, her obsession with winning and losing in relationships and with it always having to end in a proposal. They’re not going to give her a time of deep reflection and self respect at least. They’re just gonna say she now loves and respects herself now that she’s got a new man (Soo Hyuk) that treats her well. These issues of hers are just gonna disappear. Then she’ll have one petty revenge on the ex where he’ll regret his actions.

I’m hoping that I’m so wrong and this drama will just surprise me completely 🙏. Otherwise it’s still an okay drama
