The Sweet Wen Xi-Shang Chen Version

I watched this last year and waited this to have MDL page so i can write my own review. Personally i am sucker for marriage after love plot and like other adaptation which is quite rare for me to liking the script. For this Wen Xi-Shang Chen has most different stories compare to other versions, this drama lacks of angst feeling of the couple, it feels like mundane couple with less of conflict.

Although it has a slow-burn title, it takes a fast-paced, high-sweetness route. ML and FL have mutual affection almost from the beginning. And the brother of FL only shown in the last 10 minutes of this drama.

Chen Fang Tong and Huang Haowen acting are quite decent at this adaptation But for me Huang Haowen's Shang Chen lack something that other version had the cold and mature that other version had maybe this drama want to interpert the sweetness of marriage. Chen Fang Tong didn't has the aloofness feeling for the FL. But the chemistry is still sufficient enough to watch.

The family conflict between FL and her real mother are lacking emotional feeling. It feels like mundane conversation.

The condom scene, it felt Huang Haowen tried held up his laughter.

The sweetness is very pleasant to watch. If you're prefer sweet version you could watch this.

Quite a heavy drama

I watch this drama on last February and personally feels Kechun acting this drama rather was far better than Kechun in "Good Girl" (Good Girl was too overrated, Mark my word). This is for the first time Guo Yuxin couldn't catch ML acting since most of her drama her acting was superior than her other ML before Kechun (Not saying she is bad in this drama but Kechun truly shines in this drama). Supporting casts really did good job too.

This is plot about choice between love and hate, where everyone's choices lead to different destinies. Although the plot of this drama has been heavily criticized, because I'm a very empathetic viewer, I can understand things from each person's perspective, so I can enjoyed it.

I really dislike the FL's character. Her words and actions are inconsistent. She thinks the ML loves her older sister aka SFL so much, yet she actively kisses him. A normal younger sister in this situation wouldn't go any further with her brother-in-law for her sister's sake. And while she says she wants her sister to go back, she actually goes back to the male lead herself to reconcile, justifying it by saying that staying by his side is the only way to find evidence to prove his innocence.

Many people say the SFL also used FL but the problem is that their initial acquaintance was based on exploitation—one provided money, the other did the work. FL took the money and then betrayed her; I truly can't empathize with FL.

My heart only aches for the SFL since she deserve more better than this. When the ML's friend plants a bomb in the car to kill the SFL, the ML just lets it go, but as soon as he hears the FL is in the car, he immediately gets anxious and rushes to save them. This makes me feel like all the SFL's past relationships and youth were wasted and the worse of all SFL lying there alone while the seeing ML with FL.

Recommended if you are not morally right person.

Mixed emotion in this drama

I watch this for Zhang Jinyi because the makeup, hairstyle, clothing and filter are pretty good and it was the one the best Zhang Jinyi looks for me. The chemistry between her and Zhao Zhendong are satisfying but the plot is not for me. I remember Wang Kaimu-Ye Xinxin version which acclaimed the best adaptation is not for my liking too.

First episode inexplicably froze on the scene where the FL looks at the ML , and he suddenly takes off his glasses, turns around and glances back, and there's a long slow-motion shot, which made me a little awkward. There is mismatch fact on this drama which i annoyed they want to bring 70's-90's vibe and people using smartphone? this is not fantasy drama.

Maybe fans of both actor could enjoy this drama.

Decent watch for remarriage drama.

I quite like Meng Na and Liang Siwei work together. Since i like their first collab and not fond of their second collab. I tried to watch with little faith.

Plot is about FL is washed-up movie star who, to pay off her debts, tries to regain her former glory. She's tricked into participating in a dating reality show, only to discover that the show's director is actually the brother of her ex-husband.

The entire plot revolves around the dating reality show, with the ML going to great lengths to prevent the FL from creating CP with other male contestants. At the same time, he provides her with considerable help and care on set. During their time together, they find that their relationship seems to have returned to what it once was. ML works even harder to remarry, and the two finally confess their feelings. FL explains the reason for the divorce: they spent too little time together, and neither supported the other during major events. She felt marriage shouldn't be like that, and coupled with being manipulated by the SFL,FL misunderstood ML, leading to the divorce.

The plot is average. But for the chemistry between the leads still sufficient and enjoy to watch.

Recommended if you like divorce back to remarriage troupe.

Despite all criticism, I still enjoy this drama.

I remember when i want watch this drama on Youtube everyone almost complained about the Plot and Female Lead was too weak and this drama ends up on my waiting list. User @bibiyee convinced me to watch since I don't familiar with Li Shi Yao acting. I love Huang Yunyun and Dong Yi, they are quite underrated and no one of my drama friends talk about them.

Surprisingly, I enjoy this drama since i lower my expectation. Neither of Male Leads have green flag attitude they got their own red flag. The plot is not too dragging.

Huang Yunyun tends to play fickle female lead and the backstory of her action is make me understand since all her life was dedicated to ML (Li Shiyao) and know nothing about outside of the world.
Maybe it's just me but Li Shi Yao looks unwell in this drama maybe he got sick but he still delivered as scumbag manipulator ML. Dong Yi as SML are quite look green flag but scheming person. He kidnapped FL for power play (Lucky FL are quite accepting since she wanted to run away from ML)

The ending was okay even i prefer FL to heal herself first but I remember this is period drama.

Still recommended if you can tolerate anyone weakness character or scheming men who used woman for their power play.

The Refined version of Gu Xin Wan-Attorney Yan

There is many version of Gu Xin Wan-Attorney Yan plot and nothing could beat Yuyin Shen Haonan version until i saw this version.

The plot is meticulously well written without leaving abrupt and correct the flaws of previous version (the son involvement in this story, ML met his son, FL redemption from ML family, FL confront her father and her stepmother, FL tried to open her heart to ML). The cat mouse between the couple is not dragged like previous version and i like how ML are quick witted to realize FL is not guilty from her crime. Du Yafei and Ma Lejie chemistry unfortunately couldn't beat Yuyin and Shen Haonan version but plot wise they latter version got their benefit since they minimize the plot hole. The comedy in this version is barely exist and i still like how they fix the plot holes that previous version couldn't hide.

If you focused on plot, i suggest to watch this version instead.

Cat Mouse couple with nice banter.

Just watched this drama. Its another uncle and nephew ex girlfriend relationship plot and secret marriage but i love how Feng Ming Chao showing his rizz as Uncle and his banter with Chen Luxi was worth to watch. The kisses had nice chemistry. Female lead brother was fun and her all family is not toxic. I just don't like how Second Male lead (Ji Jun Liang) was being obsessed with Female lead and his character was downhill in the end. The best part on this drama how Male lead put sticky note on Female lead when she sleeping and how both are playing cat& mouse with Female lead brother. The ending is so-so but still worth to watch for their banter.

The best dual transmigrating story, no argument needed

I watched many dual transmigrating story and for me this one tops everything. I've been traumatized by a bunch of low-quality ensemble dramas, and this one has been a real healing experience. The four people chemistry were most natural from every aspect and you could mix match the CP even the same gender one. Their harmony were too perfect and I need to appreciate Chen Tian Xian, Liu Nian, Zhang Chi and Zhi Chun He for this drama. The interactions between the two couples are equally sweet, Essentially, it includes all the elements viewers want to see. I can relate with Nian and Chun He on their first scene. So fujoshis coded. I am on Chun He's mind want to make the Male Leads kissing each other. Zhang Chi's costume remind me of Seungho from Painter on The Night.

Within its limited runtime, it almost achieved perfection. It has a main plot, a coherent storyline, a complete narrative structure, laughter and tears, plot twists and redemption, rich content, and a tight, smooth pace. The screenwriter has achieved what is most difficult for an ensemble drama –complete dish! Moreover, the supporting characters aren't just plot devices; the villains' scenes are also entertaining, and the emperor is a source of amusement. While the ending leaves a cliffhanger, the story is already very complete (I am waiting for season 2 too). The costumes, makeup, and props are excellent, the visual quality is good, the filters are natural. The only drawback might be the lack of original voice acting; dubbing really detracts from the overall quality and the system voice was quite to squeaky for my personal taste. Overall, it's quite enjoyable.

Recommended if you like dual couple story with light tone drama.

My personal favorite Wen Xi-Shang Chen version

I watch this last year and people prefer the first version while my best version are going to Xia Ningjun-Yu Yutong version.

The production level is slightly lower than the first version, but the plot, logic, details, and acting are all superior to the first version. While the ML and FL in this script are aloof, they're far from being completely unresponsive. They still experience emotional shifts when interacting with people they know well-you can connect the emotion to the main lead since it was close to reality.

The plot was more refined than first version making the underlying logic more plausible. The adoptive mother's coldness towards the FL also becomes much more believable (in the first version, it just felt a bit inexplicable or like a typical short drama trope).The FL's birth mother makes her stance clear early on and uses stronger methods. While her performance might not be as striking as in the first version,

The storyline involving Zhou Yuan is more detailed and doesn't rely on belittling the FL to highlight the ML's strength. The biggest advantage is the increased interaction between the ML and FL, making the plot sweeter and warmer. It unfolds gradually, showing the journey from strangers to roommates, then to lovers, and finally to partners. The cool, aloof demeanor doesn't necessarily need to be artificially created; the male and female leads perfectly embody this. FL older brother appears on last of episode hinting the season 2 of this drama.

Ultra-recommended to watch.

twinkling watermelon shein version

This is Twinkling Watermelon shein version (because they only spend of stellar casts instead for refining the plot).

I love the cast especially the MLs but the FLs they always got me hit and miss sometimes and i prefer Li Keyi in this role more than her grandma role so her acting is pass while Yuyin got her chemistry better with Zhang Chi. For their performance i would rate like this: Zhang Chi>>>>>>>>>>Li Keyi=Wang Yilei>>Yuyin.

This could be the best campus drama if they didn't leave many plot holes about how FL and ML life after time traveling did they together, if FL is actually went to FL mom school after time travel, and FL mother's current destiny after time travel.

Regardless of all the flaw, it still watchable.

OK,this is my limit.

I never understand why Ni Wu-Pei Huanyu got so many adaptation (16 version, i give up following the story) since there is unnecessary tug-and-war and misunderstanding with Open Ending. (If you like kind of sour story i just suggest to watch Dong Yi-Fu Yushu version instead). Personally i hope in Zeng Hui-Han Yutong version has angst with Open Ending (I want to have their film have Sad Ending since all of their collabs have Happy Ending) but i don't feel they follow the novel and just like their previous drama (for reference watch Tuning Hearts [2025]) Male Lead chase Female Lead with past misunderstanding. Their acting are on their comfort zone there is no complain just they kind bored of same plot formula on this CP.
Only recommended this, if you are true CP fans.

It was worse than first version

I made wrong decision to watch this drama. This drama was worse than first version (Yang Yubin one). The acting between Wang Yu Ke Qing was quite okay since you felt sorry to FL and Chen Zi Hao did great job to bring the black flag ML. For romance chemistry, this version was quite baffling to watch. They dont have any chemistry

ML is indeed worse than first version. He ruined her father's and FL's life because he was obsessed with possessing her. He never treated her nicely or like a human being. If he hadn't decided he loved her and wanted to marry her he had already admitted she was just a casual fling to him. So after he grew tired of her- what? He destroyed their lives. They literally did nothing to deserve it. They were the innocent victims of a rich, powerful man. FL was more lean on to damsel in distress and she just willingly submit to ML.

Did i enjoy this version? no. I will treat this as my wasteland of precious time and i wont recommend this version.

ML was most manipulative men in duanjus

I watched this last year because my friend recommended Yang Yubin's best works. I should said the kisses were hot but for the plot i quite hate ML to the bone and there is no redemption for him. He is included in my most manipulative ML on duanju. He appears to become FL's father business partner and FL mistook him as his father (girl, the obvious height different were clear) and ML started to obsessed over FL. ML took advantage of her vulnerability, meticulously planning every step. FL's father company went bankrupt (though not directly caused, he was the straw that broke the camel's back), FLfather got sick, and she fell into his trap. And he can forgive her so easily? I don't understand. FL were trying hard not to seeking ML helps and do anything to freed her and yeah ML acts as her only salvatation. The logic of this drama feels a bit strange. FL is a campus beauty, which I can't accept. I forced myself to finish it at 1,5 speed and wont rewatch again.
