Well-executed Hong Kong Style drama.
I quite enjoy He Jianqi and Wang Gege first collaboration so i decided to watch this. I was amazed with meticulous Hong Kong style cinematography and decent Cantonese accent (He Jianqi is from Guangdong so it no wonder but hats off to Wang Gege).I watch and compared it to Zhao Zhendong version and i still choose this version the plot, chemistry, and supporting role are more advance in many way. It was pleasing to watch for art and plot.
Recommended to Watch.

Plot was better but the dual couple presence were too weak.
I watched this version on the time of the released because of Zhang Xuan only and it was him who make me stayed (and Cha Yi Chen). Plot wise it was more better than Wang Nian Jiang Cheng one but for the chemistry i feel this version lacks and i feel the Zhang Xuan character way colder than other version which is better but for the couple dynamic there is none can appeal in my eyes.As usual they make Younger sister so annoying, i cannot stand her character like they make spoiler brat and the housewife persona was not really good. The father in this version slightly better than first one. For the chemistry, both of the leads lack chemistry and sparks. I don't have a problem with the Younger brother but he lacks something on the character. He may look young but lack of playful character which this version was quite boring. I feel bad for Cha Yichen since only her tried to build up the plot but Younger brother in this version really lacks.
I wont rewatch this version.

Only stayed for Younger Brother-Older Brother story,
I watched this first since visual wise was more okay than other version and i liked Xue Ziqi and Wang Nian Jiang Cheng but too bad they are not couple in this version.Whoever cast Wang Nian Jiang Cheng and Xiang Shuai has eagle eye since the looked like siblings. But i need to say the plot was unbearable to watch. The father kidnaps and drugged his sister, and the father's character was one of baddest character in all version i watch. Luckily this drama only has 59 episodes, the fewest of all the versions. There are very few sweet kisses, the pacing is fast, and the ending isn't as good as the others, too abrupt. Its only advantage is the high visual appeal of the four main characters.Wang Nian Jiang Cheng is good-looking, but he doesn't feel like older brother at all, lacking maturity and his lack of chemistry with He Tian Tian was so obvious too watch. Fortunately, his younger brother, Xiang Shuai, is more youthful and his chemistry with Xue Ziqi were more satisfying to watch it feels watching Omega Man with Alpha Woman. He Tian Tian character was so annoying, i couldn't stand her childishness and i just stay for Older Sister and Younger Brother story.
Recommended only if you are hardcore fans of the actor.

I am FL defender on this drama.
I had watched this on the day this drama was released and found so many boy-moms scold FL character and pitied ML. But I am here as FL defender. She always stated she didn't want to pursue romance and only need physical relationship. ML knows what he is doing and should know the consequence. I need more of this kind of drama in duanju. An excellent contemporary romance drama, ML and FL go from initial attraction to genuine affection, a truly captivating physical attraction. It's been a long time since we've seen them kiss so much on screen. I quite like the intimate scene between Jinzi and Zhong Zheng, it feels like Zhong Zheng devours her. The entire drama revolves around the main couple's relationship; the chemistry is strong, the acting is excellent, and Jinzi and Zhong Zheng surprisingly have great chemistry. This type of role is also perfect for them, making it a powerful combination. The viewing experience is quite comfortable because there's absolutely no element of female-centric suffering; it's all about the ML who suffering because of HIS OWN CHOICE. There is other men wants to pursue our FL and FL is stern as stone while ML burn with undisputed jealousy.
Jinzi has always been well-suited for roles of independent, wealthy heiresses, and this character perfectly embodies that. The female lead is independent and clear-headed throughout, clearly defining her relationship with the male lead. ML also consciously falls into despair, and after realizing he has feelings for someone else, he tries his best to win her back. However, FL is really hard to win over and i suspected she is Aro woman while in drama her psychologist saying she lacks emotional attachment which is perfectly embodied in this drama. Those who like to watch ML abuse will enjoy it.
The cons is how comes she suddenly have change of mind on the last of 2 episodes. It feels so abrupt.
I still recommended this since this kind of drama was RARE to be found on duanju.

Chaotic Comedy with Platonic Couple
I watched this on the day of the released. So it's kind of blind item box and i enjoy this drama while i was not knowing the leads when i watch this. It's like finding hidden gem and i am kind of miss this kind of feeling. The 10 episodes are quite violence for some people so viewer discretion is advised.A new script for duanjus, the plot is rich, the pacing is tight, the progression is natural, the scenes are relatable, and there are frequent laughs. Almost every episode has a climax. The interactions between the ML and FL are natural, fun, warm, and sweet. The mutual redemption of these two "bitter people" is more like comrades-in-arms sharing hardships than lovers.
For the summary, FL is sent to a mental hospital by her wicked mother-in-law, where she meets ML, who has been framed by his stepmother and younger brother. The two work together to escape and seek revenge. During this process, they face numerous crises, and ultimately ML reclaims the Li Group. Their relationship also gradually warms up and the process is quite natural. The plus in here FL was quite romantic allergy person and she cannot be romantic for a second (Hello, other comrades) while ML was hopeless romantic person. Their dynamic relationship perfect for this chaotic comedy. There is few kisses scene but the actual strong point is not romance and i feel the relationship is more into platonic.
Overall atmosphere leans towards warmth and humor rather than revenge. FL's mother-in-law, though hateful, has a pitiable side; her later realization and lifelong remorse are a fitting punishment. ML's brother, though bad, is also innocently foolish—a truly tragic figure. The only dissatisfaction is that FLs mother's storyline wasn't fully developed before the ending. The cons is the episode is quite too few for the interesting premises they need to add 10 episode more.
Zhang Rui En and Zhang Yan Qing performances are incredibly natural; ML doesn't come across as stiff or pretentious, and FL's carefree and eccentric personality is truly exceptional. It's hard to find a better replacement. ML and FL are both handsome and beautiful, the dialogue is in their own voices, the filters are pleasing, and the overall viewing experience is excellent.

Well, this drama makes my blood boils
I watched this last year and i know this is Bai Yan-Zhang Bei Xi version. Xie Yu Wang and Liu Lange delivers their role perfectly. The plot was not perfect from the start but the emotional depth in main character this drama is far more better than the first version. ML and FL aren't perfect and have flaws. I wont recommend this drama unless you're fans of the actors.Liu Lange is quite pretty good actress, but the dramas she chooses aren't very good. In this drama, all I can say is that the FL has good heart is a disease, but she's incurable, so she gets hurt in various ways. The drama starts with the ML's affair with his ex-girlfriend, and FL is beaten by her father. What I found different from the usual formula was that FL's arguments were all on point; every word she uttered was effective, not just mindless taunting. ML in this version really have no boundaries and i think FL was more wise in this version.
FL was injured, but ML didn't intervene. This was mainly because the two families had a business cooperative relationship, making it difficult to directly punish the sister-in-law. Furthermore, punishing her might implicate FL. Therefore, ML used a rather extreme method: he personally intervened, using photos as leverage against the sister-in-law. Personally, I think this was perfectly acceptable. As a result, the sister-in-law didn't cause any further trouble for the FL.
When FL gets pregnant right after their marriage, she tells ML they should live a good life together, but he tells her to abort the child. Later, ML explains that it's because they have no feelings for each other and he doesn't want to have the child, but this explanation feels weak.
I think there should have been more build-up about ML to his feelings for the FL. Some misunderstandings were indeed influenced by external factors, not by the ML's own inner turmoil, so they were somewhat understandable. The ending is the divorce followed by a proposal felt a bit rushed. At least there would have been a courtship process; that would have made the viewing experience much better. My ideal ending in this drama were the leads are not back together, it would be on my recommended drama.

Illogical plot and scriptwriter loves bad guys.
I watching this drama because of Song Yujia compared to her previous drama, this drama was quite letdown in term of plot. I don't mind with soul swapping theme but the problem of this drama lies with the character logic. The chemistry between Xong Yujia and Ling Xuan was really good but the plot and character hold the problem.ML character has major plot holes. He's clearly had a long-standing crush on the FL, yet he treats her coldly after marriage. He was initially moved by her kindness, but he easily believes the slanderous accusations leveled against her by his wicked mother-in-law and others. How the scriptwriter comes with idea ML betrays FL father to protect FL family?
FL also has questionable part. Before marriage, she had absolutely no feelings for the ML. It was an arranged marriage, and she suffered for several years. How could she possibly fall in love with him in the end? There is no backstory about FL was infuriated with ML and suddenly she in love with ML.
Female villain caused so much trouble, only to be kicked out of the mansion in the end? And FL even had to give her money out of blue? FL mother-in-law didn't get any punishment either. This screenwriter really loves villains! The plot is also full of holes. FLs father is just a minister, not a prince, not a general, not even a prime minister. Why emperor want to kill FL father? I guess the screenwriter couldn't come up with a plausible reason.
Only watchable for hardcore fans.

Light romance between CEO ML X Pilot FL
I watched this because of Ione of Liu Xiaoxu's rare sweet dramas, and the overall atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. ML and FL are strong; FL is confident and generous, and ML is lively and cute. Not familiar with Tang Lijun but, she successfully bring the strong character without being pretentious. The main role of the SML and SFL is to create trouble, but their methods are not clever, and their characters are somewhat stereotypical (stupid and annoying). Although the plot is formulaic and the villains are obviously just tools, its strength lies in the pure and sweet romance between the male and female leads, with no angst and natural, endearing interactions.
It's suitable for those who enjoy lighthearted, sweet romances, are interested in pilot/captain themes, and can accept familiar tropes.

Plow was neat but the chemistry was zero
I watched Ye Haoran version first and i was though Cao Tian Kai would be on Younger rother role (this is unbelievable on every terms) but luckily they are using the CEO role. It somewhat generic yet engaging since its toxic love theme. The plot is about ML with an obsessive possessiveness towards the FL in their previous lives, wanting only to imprison her. Both are reborn. ML pretends to be FLs crush to get close to her. The difference is that both ML and FL are reborn with their memories intact.
In the previous life, FL wanted to end her engagement with a scumbag and seduced ML she liked, but in ML's eyes, she only used him, so he chose an extreme way to love her. In this life, ML restrains his possessiveness, acts normally, and gets close to the female lead. Although FL is always afraid of the ML, she also has feelings for him.
The dialogue is quite suggestive, and the emotional entanglements are a bit lacking between Cao Tian Kai and He Yi Ting make watching experience not really good. But plot wise, this one was more neat than Ye Haoran version.
Only for hardcore fans.

The only redeeming quality in this drama was Male Lead
I watched this last year because i am missing Ma Xiao Yu at the time and i have trauma against Xiang Yun Jie after her lousy kissing scene with Liu Lambo so for the therapy i tried the experimental trauma by watching this. Turns out, the plot is just very abstract. To make it simpler, seducing my ex-boyfriend's sister-in-law. Ma Xiaoyu should have been able to do that easily (in the drama), and the screenwriter clearly favors ML, giving him a complete character aura, and his crazy, dark, and reckless personality is well-developed.However, FL is relatively one-dimensional. Their falling in love is also very formulaic, and the reason ML loves her is also poorly designed. Plus, the actress herself doesn't quite pull off the "older sister" role. Xiang Yunjie was miscast (it was nothing to do with my trauma, i am just being fair person she lacks jie jie vibe even the real age she is 3 years older than Ma Xiao Yu)
Maybe, i am little too fond of Ma Xiao Yu. I'm increasingly disliking these soft-hearted, dim-witted, and indecisive characters only watch this for his sake lol.

Chaotic drama about Short Drama.
I watched this by chance without looking female Lead and i only know Liu Sansi but for his drama i ever watch he was actually average but i still enjoy his choice of script. The chemistry between the leads was satisfying to watch. It was better than i expected and Zhang Ruoxi acting as dual personality was quite entertaining. The kissing scenes are great, Plus, SFL (the original FL) also comes to her senses later on. FL only has money on her mind, completing her mission to seduce ML and infuriate the original FL. ML plays along with FL the meat, and the original FL stimulated into a dark transformation, causing the paper doll to awaken! Then the two awakened paper dolls subvert the FL's expectations, and the ML is taken back to the real world by the FL.
Personally the ending was anticlimax but it was decent drama to watch.

Decent drama that felt into declining on later half
I watched this because of Chen Si and it was decent but not make you gasped since the first half drama was okay and it was declining on the latter half. The pairing of Chen Si and Liu Xiyu; they have nice chemistry, I love watching. This script is quite novel. ML is reborn into his uncle's body to save FL, who was driven to her death by his own obsession in her previous life. Mature and repentant, he becomes a guiding lover, no longer like in his past life, determined to break her wings.
The interactions between the two in the first half are somewhat ambiguous yet restrained, and quite enjoyable. I quite happy at Chen Si recent role since he choose to leave his CEO persona. Personally i am not fond of Liu Xiyu acting but she can make nice chemistry with her few MLs.
The second half has a strange pacing and doesn't quite make sense. After the truth is revealed, the FL seems to suffer without cause. Perhaps the screenwriter didn't quite figure out how to portray the FL's inner turmoil and eventual acceptance, focusing mainly on "You lied to me, I'm leaving,"
I was really looking forward to the love triangle between the three of them but there is almost none of this and the ending felt a bit unsettling.
Still decent watch.

Sweet romance for both leads.
I watched this on November 2025 and tried to rewatch again. A rare good script from Zheng Chen Yu since most of her drama were unbearable to watch, Wang Zi Lin on his non toxic character was quite rare to see too.The overall story structure is simple, though it follows a few familiar tropes: a long-planned unrequited love, a younger nephew's lack of appreciation, and finally, after repeated displays of affection, FL reciprocates ML and age gap romance. After the FL confesses to the SML 99 times and is rejected, she decides to give up and tried to cling to ML.
There are two minor misunderstandings, but they quickly resolve them. ML is terrified of FL and manages to soothe himself when angry. SML is a typical example of someone who regrets his actions and then tries to cling to her.
There are no unnecessary clichés, and ML is proactive and assertive, making for a very enjoyable watch overall. The kissing scenes are mostly concentrated in the latter half. Although it's a story of a younger man/older woman romance with a teacher-student dynamic, it avoids the forced attempts to create a sense of intimacy and excitement using clichéd plot points
Overall warm and sweet atmosphere, it's a worth to watch.

Anticlimatic ending destroy this drama
I watched this on Christmas eve but i don't have any mood to make review about this drama until now. This version has more logical and detailed plot, with a very clear main storyline. It focuses on the relationship between the ML and FL, while retaining the familial bond between the FL and her son, as well as the healing of her mental illness. Other subplots have been removed.
The overall pacing is smooth and the content is tight, but the ending feels rushed and anticlimactic, failing to clearly explain the awakening of the fictional characters. The emotional storylines include both romantic and familial love, with rich layers of development and clear emotional progression. ML acts as a bridge between his son and FL, no longer just watching passively.
The new treatment plan involves hypnotizing FL instead of the doctor. This approach is clear because a mother is willing to give everything for her child
The ending doesn't clearly explain which piece of evidence led to the female doctor's arrest. Wang Nan and Yuan Yu Han are both talented actors with good chemistry; their every expression and gesture showcases their acting prowess. Ironically, this ending doesn't do justice to their skills.
Still decent watch.

It turns out to be the same book as Nan Pan Jing Zhi??? They're completely different!
I watching this since most recent drama are generally mediocre and i want to explore more Yao Guan Yu and tried to warm myself to Hou Cheng Yue. Both leads have decent chemistry to watch. While watching, I felt the main character's name looked familiar, but I didn't think much of it. Only after finishing the series did I realize it was from the same script as "Nan Pan Jing Zhi" (The one with Wang Kaimu- Ye Xinxin and Zhang Jinyi-Zhao Zhendong)??? I was shocked since it was completely different from previous version that i quite not really enjoy it.
ML approaches with ulterior motives but falls in love with the heiress during their time together. The plot mainly revolves around the FL's struggle for the group's inheritance and the development of new drugs. The family power struggles are fairly standard, while the drug development issues are more suspenseful. Although you gradually develop your own guesses while watching, the overall setup and plot development are quite exciting and engaging. The journey from mutual suspicion to mutual trust between the ML and FL, and their scheme to uncover the mastermind, is very entertaining, without any ridiculous moments. The SML's portrayal of the yandere younger brother is very compelling.
ML and FL relationship progresses quickly, so it's quite sweet, and there's a lot of screen time for them. Actually, I didn't like the SML that much at first, but he was a highlight in the last few episodes.
Recommended to watch.
