This drama is hidden gem.
Finally i found my favorite troupe in duanju, Student's Guardian ML with Home Teacher FL and Song Yujia as teacher? I am sold.ML is a poor boy from an average family who failed the college entrance exam and has no house or car (who understands the significance of failing the college entrance exam and ending up in a second-tier university) while FL was model student who dedicate her dream to become teacher and they both met again at school reunion after student counseling. FL student who was ML nephew was their cupid since he wants to dating his peers.
ML is deeply devoted and loyal, but limited by his abilities and circumstances, he can't bravely express his love. FL is equally devoted and loyal, bravely independent, and loves passionately and persistently. Without her courageous pursuit of love, the two are destined not to be together. I feel bad for SFL she is the one who stay with ML but she cannot warm his heart and waste her 7 years. Luckily she understand and not become antagonist in this drama.
Conflicts arise from differing perspectives. The two mothers of the ML and FL represent two different viewpoints among elders, making it impossible to judge right or wrong. In reality, FL's mother statement is right.
Recommended to watch slice of life feeling.

Revenge focused drama without ML meddle in.
Huang Yunyun's dramas almost always use her own voice – and it was pleasant to hear. Wang Peiyan needs some acting role since he always on goofy character and cannot break the typecast.If you want to see romance drama, you could search another version instead. I liked how ML was pictured not really cared about FL.

It was below expectation.
I remember i want to watch this drama last year and finally got proper subtitle on drama apps. For my expectation, this is on below so I am slightly disappointed with the result.Aside from a lot of verbal sparring, this script is generally quite enjoyable, so even with a less-than-stellar performance, it's watchable. This adaptation is mediocre, with about 40% verbal sparring.. A few comedic scenes are added, which I think is a major flaw, conflicting with the main theme about revenge.
Han Yutong, stills nailing her acting in here. Cheng Cheng also quite good at playing scumbag ex-husband. Zhang Tingrui in here seemed more like a supporting character instead of Cheng Cheng, he is just wall-flower in this drama. The costumes and props were also quite well done, especially the grand scene of the princess returning to court.
I didn't feel any satisfaction after watch this, just an insult to my spare time.

Never understand with the ending.
I watched this drama since i want to check on Zhao Fei and I don't know if it's torturing the FL or Me the watcher. Yang Han is quite scumbag in this drama. The chemistry and romance scene between them is non-exist. Almost every scene is torturous.FL is treated like a trash, and all her misfortunes are caused by the ML yet she can still live with him like nothing happened. Worse of all, ML has a constant affair while FL is devoted to him. The fact that it has a happy ending is just unbelievable, FL shouldn't back again to ML.
Its not Zhao Fei best work and Yang Han, recommended if you like Female lead is being tortured mentally.

It feels like spin-off of Tainai while actually it's different drama
A light comedy; the actors and filming are all above average. I kinda like Wang Peiyan-Li Keyi dynamic duo in here even the romance is relatively weak.FL is responsible for most of the exciting parts, while ML is responsible for most of the comedic parts. The plot is roughly predictable: FL sassily challenges the ML, correcting his playboy ways, turning a scoundrel into a follower.FL and the great-grandmother's characters feel somewhat similar, and the actors in the show are also familiar, like a regular family gathering.
You don't need to watch prequel because it just light comedic series without any depth plot.
Recommended to watch if you didn't mind the plot just comedy and laugh.

The elevated version of Bai Yan-He Cong Rui drama
When I watched this drama, the only thing i remember is unpleasant feeling after watch Bai Yan-He Cong Rui version (that version is from around 2023-2024) so i decided to watch hoping for better version.The Plot is same ML and FL actually had feelings for each other during their school days, but a misunderstanding prevented them from being together. FL enters into a contract marriage with the male lead to repay a debt of gratitude. Both believe the other is a Cassanova, and after the marriage, they challange each other for "cheat you spouse whoever jealous first you lose".
The plot is cliché, but the lighthearted comedy style at least still better than Bai Yan- He Congrui version at every aspect. The chemistry between the Ma Xiao Yu and Zhang Jinyi are surprisingly good. Their attractive appearances and restrained acting, combined with this understated story, make for a really enjoyable watch. Ma Xiao Yu is very likable once he abandons his overly forceful, boss-like acting style. Although he doesn't quite capture the essence of a doctor, he's still a gentle, honest, and morally upright husband.
Zhang Jin Yi has a very distinctive beauty, gentle approach, and her acting feels alive and natural, not formulaic or stiff. She portrays a seemingly innocent yet powerful female CEO with a striking contrast. Ma Xiao Yu's portrayal of his gentle care for his mother-in-law and his resilience in performing surgery on her is very nuanced . He immediately comes across as a sensible, reliable, and filial son, capable of taking responsibility and showing empathy—it's hard for the FL not to fall for him instantly.
Recommended to watch if you want some light romance.

Decent watch for remarriage drama.
I quite like Meng Na and Liang Siwei work together. Since i like their first collab and not fond of their second collab. I tried to watch with little faith.Plot is about FL is washed-up movie star who, to pay off her debts, tries to regain her former glory. She's tricked into participating in a dating reality show, only to discover that the show's director is actually the brother of her ex-husband.
The entire plot revolves around the dating reality show, with the ML going to great lengths to prevent the FL from creating CP with other male contestants. At the same time, he provides her with considerable help and care on set. During their time together, they find that their relationship seems to have returned to what it once was. ML works even harder to remarry, and the two finally confess their feelings. FL explains the reason for the divorce: they spent too little time together, and neither supported the other during major events. She felt marriage shouldn't be like that, and coupled with being manipulated by the SFL,FL misunderstood ML, leading to the divorce.
The plot is average. But for the chemistry between the leads still sufficient and enjoy to watch.
Recommended if you like divorce back to remarriage troupe.

If you mind sweet pseudo-incest drama, this is for you.
I watch this because of Lin Feng Song notable great acting for my watch list. Ma Le Jie is quite tricky as long as she doesn't play damsel in distress leads. Both of actor acting's are quite decent to watch.FL moves into the ML family after her mother's remarriage, becoming nominal siblings with the family heir, ML While outwardly hostile, they secretly harbor a complex and lucid yet ultimately entangled underground love affair. It's was rare to have sweet pseudo-incest. Since pseudo-incest dramas often lean towards a bittersweet, angsty, and slightly angsty tone, this one is incredibly sweet. The arguments between the leads are childlike.
ML is the type with a sharp tongue, but he's deeply in love with FL. There's a major flaw in his character: he loves the FL yet has a fiancée. However, throughout the series, ML isn't unlikeable. His love is subtly revealed in the details, making him feel like he's always trying to get the FL to take the initiative. Actually, the overall plot of this drama is very simple, just about love, but the sweet tug-of-war and bickering between the ML and FL are quite heartfelt.
Recommended if you have morally grey and can accept pseudo-incest story.

not the plot hole
I watch this Zhen Ziqi-Jia Yixuan and need to be honest. This is their weakest drama collab. Plot is actually heavy but there is obvious plot hole about ML situation. The good thing is this drama contains Zhen Ziqi real voice's. The emotional still flat (this is their earliest drama so no wonder the acting skill is not craved well).Was this review helpful to you?
rare chicken meat
Don't be fooled with the title. There is no coquettish on Ma Le Jie character and it feels weak and her chemistry with Wang Jiamao feels subpar.There is nothing special about the leads so it was easy to forget. When i watch this drama i feel like eating rare chicken meat. The plot is generic secret love but it feels so raw in not good way. I watched it because of Bai Yan, her acting as damsel in distress female character are fine. I don't know what's on writer's mind when they make everyone understand mute character without miscommunication. Jin Jia Yu are perfect choice for scumbag male lead character, he delivered the character well. I don't like Male Lead characterization and i was close to drop this drama and decide to watch it with 2.5 x fast.Avoid it if you are want to be sane person.

Wrong Drama for the CP
Okay I quite like Wang Nan-Peng Dai Dai combo but this is their weakest drama in term of plot and whole atmosphere. They want to tried more mature drama but the terms is more comedic and i feel the production team put the whole atmosphere wrong it feels like i am watching a mockumentary. For the plot they make it lessen evil for the supporting role and only focused on couple development, and this is the great point about this drama.But for their fans you can give this a try for once.

Xue Ziqi saves this drama from destruction.
This is reverse gender of Yao Guanyu Mr's Song version. Xue Ziqi is such an alpha woman, its been long time since i have see this kind of aura beside Tian Yi.Personally I feel Xue Ziqi acts alone as Sun Jia Jun acting are too wooden and there is no soul into ML character. It feels i have seen Xue Ziqi acting with wood for the entire time. Even ML characterization are quite decent there is no impact from Sun Jia Jun.
Such a waste for potential drama. Recommended to watch if you want to see more Xue Ziqi.

Still decent Ximen Lichen version thanks to Charon.
I watch this before i watch Zhao Zhen Dong version and i feel Charon still got decent Ximen Lichen. The tension was below okay since Peng Dai Dai are not keen to do intimate scene. The plot almost same like another adaptation and Peng Dai Dai are not shown strong Jiang Wan Zhi.Recommended to watch if you are Charon fans.

Both are succesfully make this plot watchable
I am not a fan of this plot and i give try to watch it for Guo Yuxin and Ma Xiao Yu. Their acting and chemistry was good so it was satisfying to watch. Few of supporting casts are not too good so it was my biggest letdown to this story.
