It was decent drama

I was watching this because i like Liang Siwei and Zhang Jinyi. Both has overflowing chemistry and decent acting skill.

After watching this version, I realized just how bad the first version's scriptwriter was. It was clearly a good script, but the changes were a complete mess, a real waste of the first version's actors. This version has a clear storyline, a three-dimensional structure, a tight and smooth pace, and characters whose actions are consistent with their established personalities. The FL's past was incredibly dark, but the ML's tragic past was partly caused by the original FL.

ML becomes the FL's salvation, and at the same time, he reconciles with his past and no longer sees revenge as his life's purpose. The kiss was not too much but it was decent when the emotions are right, or when the plot requires it, is perfectly fine—fresh and not cheesy.

The only downside is the constant cigarette scenes; it's like smoking for the sake of smoking.

If it not for Liu Xiao Xu, i would dropped this drama

I watched it because of Liu Xiao Xu. I had beef with Wang Xiao Yi intonation since it was my pet peeve but she slightly improved.

First, the advantages: the production is impeccable except for the background music.

The overall script is what many people call a lowbrow script—not particularly exciting, and quite melodramatic. It's about a domineering CEO falling in love with a divorced, aborted woman. If you think about it more deeply, the script's problems become even bigger.

FL's so-called growth is actually just confidence gained from having a background and resources. Has she truly grown? To prove her growth, a pointless scene of her running away while pregnant was forcibly added at the end, making the story structure even more chaotic.

Those who love its tone, quality, or character design will probably love it. Those who want to delve into the story will likely be disappointed like me.

Pure Revenge with No Romance

I waited this drama for last year and watch again in this year to make proper review.

Satisfying revenge drama with a strong FL. There's no romance, so you don't have to worry. It's not a case of the FL being stronger than the ML, and there are no generic seduction scenes. FL is rational, clear-headed, and decisive in her actions. The overall pacing is tight and smooth, with no empty talk.

FL never suffers a loss from beginning to end, making for a highly satisfying experience. The production is excellent, even dividing the series into chapters. The cinematography is superb, with well-controlled camera angles. Coupled with the FL's outstanding performance, the viewing experience is very immersive, even reminiscent of a blockbuster film. The only drawback is the rushed ending, and the villains throughout the series suffer from severe intellectual decline, resorting to nothing more than destroying people's innocence--a rather frustrating tactic.

Cheng Qiaosi as antagonist is decent enough but this is Han Yutong powerhouse acting showcase. Both of the lead are doing great job.

Recommended to watch if you want to watch pure revenge drama.

If you mind sweet pseudo-incest drama, this is for you.

I watch this because of Lin Feng Song notable great acting for my watch list. Ma Le Jie is quite tricky as long as she doesn't play damsel in distress leads. Both of actor acting's are quite decent to watch.

FL moves into the ML family after her mother's remarriage, becoming nominal siblings with the family heir, ML While outwardly hostile, they secretly harbor a complex and lucid yet ultimately entangled underground love affair. It's was rare to have sweet pseudo-incest. Since pseudo-incest dramas often lean towards a bittersweet, angsty, and slightly angsty tone, this one is incredibly sweet. The arguments between the leads are childlike.

ML is the type with a sharp tongue, but he's deeply in love with FL. There's a major flaw in his character: he loves the FL yet has a fiancée. However, throughout the series, ML isn't unlikeable. His love is subtly revealed in the details, making him feel like he's always trying to get the FL to take the initiative. Actually, the overall plot of this drama is very simple, just about love, but the sweet tug-of-war and bickering between the ML and FL are quite heartfelt.

Recommended if you have morally grey and can accept pseudo-incest story.

This is for you, Sad Ending Enjoyer!

I give you warning if you don't like BE or Sad Ending go see another drama.

I quite like most of Peng Yao works. For Yang Peng Cheng, his works is hit-and-miss but i am not avoiding his work since i believe he can polish his acting skill. The chemistry between them has potential even there is almost no romantic moment.
The plot is about the FL seeks for ML who was young thug helps to fight her abusive uncle. The relationship between FL and ML from mutual use to mutual salvation and they found themselves "home".

My pet peeve to this drama, in the middle (eps 50 above) the plot was kind of dragged and ML mother death are biggest letdown to this drama. I understand the writer want to make tragedy drama but there is unnecessary to make ML mother died.

Recommended to someone who love BE.

Mature Romance Story

I have watched Wang Gege-Wang Kaimu previous drama before and like it. I decide to watch since i like the CP and the plot seems decent and different compare to their previous one. Their chemistry in untouchable and it become one of my favorite on screen CP for both actors.

Since the previous one is more lean into romcon. It's kind of not too melodramatic but it quite mature romance. Love FL and ML character and relationship growth feel like you seeing sprout into little flower. The way they both try to release their inner trauma due their parents divorce are quite realistic and not too heavy. Too bad they kind toned down ML profession (since it's quite sensitive for the country).

Recommended if you want to see slice of life mature romance.

Decent Pseudo Older Sister-Younger Brother Romance aka Duanju's Sniper Butterfly

This is basically Sniper Butterfly duanju version and if i compared it. I still choose the Long Drama because Zhou Keyu chemistry with Chen Yanxi is *chef kiss* but since this is my review without comparing to the Long drama. I will recap my thoughts.

The Plot is about ML whose his stepdad and mother were passed away due accident. He is still on minor and need guardian for get a inheritance. Since his relative is only aiming for his inheritance, he choose FL who was his stepfather daughter as his guardian. The feeling between adoration and love was grow from ML while FL was being nonchalant while actually protect ML from his relative scheme.

I like how the drama make the romance growth more naturally since ML is on teenage phase (the bittersweet feeling about know his puppy love was not being appreciated) and how FL are still on her moral compass not to indulge ML desire.

Personally, I quite Zhang Hongming still needs a little acting lesson since few his emotional scene are not too convincing (I talk about his crying scene). Ironically Zhang Hongming on his teenage stage are quite decent compare to adult stage. The Adult stage of Zhang Hongming are quite not memorable although the fun part on the story was supposed to be on adult stage. I was too bored on almost last minute of the drama.

Luckily His chemistry with Jinzi wasn't too bad so i can finish the drama with clear mind.

I like how Jinzi portrayed her older sister persona even her smoking scene is obviously not from the heavy smoker. I wont say Its the best Jinzi drama but i will say its 5 best Jinzi drama i ever watch this year.

Recommended to watch if you want to see sniper butterfly on 1.25x speed compare to long drama.

It was Okay but...

Finally i can see Zeng Hui with other Female Cast more than Han Yutong (I love the CP but paired the too much would give me aesthetic fatigue) and Zhang Jinyi is one of my favorite actress.

The Plot is ML wants to trap FL fiancé by sending him a woman to get FL attention. He pretend to calm down FL to become negotiator. He make strategy to get FL break up with his fiancé since ML fell in love with FL for 9 years.

Zeng Hui is good as Green Tea ML even there is no male lead could beat Wang Peiyan on this field. Zhang Jinyi is portrayed as decent FL who not easily being fool. Actually they could have get more chemistry but somehow Zeng Hui maintains to keep distance since he loves his IRL girlfriend so much.

Still recommended to Zeng Hui fans who are not into real CP fans

Quite promising but Chaotic Ending (in both way)

I never though this drama is slowly turn to be reverse harem. But i quite enjoy the chaotic of the relationship.

The Plot is about FL found her husband had affair with green tea and want to divorce him. She went to bar to met stranger with mask who happened to be ML and just hooked up and left. ML was devastated and want to search FL without know her real identity. But FL met ML by knowing he is her husband uncle. Because she is too scared of him She search younger man who pretends to be her personal secretary.

I like how despicable SML aka FL ex husband character progression even he didn't deserve to be with FL he is just want to redeem himself to become slave and make his mother furious. The bonds between the MLs are quite harmonious despite they dislike each other

The ending is quite chaotic, She just got her harem without any commitment.

Quite promising but there is many to improve

I Love Shi Xuejing and Wang Haozhen, but this is quite letdown for me since i like the plot very much (Office romance with slow pace). The chemistry is barely exist even both of them are gorgeous and the kiss is not helping that much.

Plot is about smarty plain looking FL aka Gu Yao with fool history of love since she getting cheated by her ex and going back to him twice (this part is make me pissed like how the writer make the hole on this story, they could make this part more better) while ML aka Zhou Zhengliang the divorcee man whose his past marriage only by paper to please his family and slowly attracted by FL as her new boss (the point which make me has expectation to this drama). ML tried to pursue FL while he misunderstand her thinking as FL replacement ex boyfriend while FL thinks too highly of ML since he got higher position and known as someone with charisma.

Still watchable but not the best drama for both actors.
