so during miss korea arc there's clear disconnect and lack of chemistry between JH and YR, YR's constantly saying some mopey stuff about freindship and JH just,,, ignores it? until YR is stabbed? and then a year later everyone's back to normal? what is JH even doing in the end? why should she get the short end of the stick like that- so we see that YR is going to college and everything but what about JH...?
what was the point of this show, truly? i feel cheated, and i want my time back. two completely different shows, first half to the next, writer did a shit job with the second half. so many interesting characters, contexts, only for it to be all so... blah. when first half was airing i would eagerly wait every weekend, and now i just finished the last two episodes on 1.75x speed. - till the end YRXJP did not do it for me, and i never skip lovey dovey scenes. JP was just there? i did not feel their chemistry at all (even if the actors did a great job, their pairing just didn't work for me) - writer really fucked JH over, what does my girl even have left... she went through so much - cant just do a bunch of convoluted shit and then just put a 'marriage-happy ending' bow and call it a day - so many sideplots, no development. we're supposed to believe jeongbun and sangcheol just fell in love? how? they didn't show anything - i hated this miss korea arc - wtf is this makjang ass angle of YR getting stabbed for JH - all that JHXYS build up for WHAT. its like he just is there for her like her therapist, to say one inspiring line and wipe her tears. even in the end we only get a hand holding?? my god so frustrating
if i wrote this drama it was a great chance to make a compelling story about being in your messy 20s, being best friends but also liking the same guy, and then maturing and growing together and then realising in the end that neither of them should be with their 'first love'. because that's all 'first loves' are meant to be- fleeting yet momentous. wish we saw YR and JH actually get to pursue their dreams
what a shitshow man... its like two entirely different shows before and after the timeskip. just extremely shitty writing. when your characters are fundamentally changing (and not just normal amount of change that people go through) and fully acting so different than what you introduced them as (their core characteristics), we know you have lost the plot.
Aaaah.... how could ppl even THINK that YR and JH were best friends??? They never talked honestly... As one of…
bro all you do in spread jonghee hate. calm down and consume media with more nuance. not like she is not a flawed character but her circumstances haven't been kind to her either, also the plot is just shit at this point anyway for all the characters
anybody knows on which episode the scene of JP giving an umbrella on a rainy daylight to JH when she's still a…
i think its meant to be a flashback to 7 years ago after jonghee left and jaepil's dad either had his health issue for first time/his company went under... just to show that YR has been there for him blah blah
jaepil and youngrye's confession scene did nothing for me. there was no chemistry, heck i wasnt even convinced that jaepil's realisations were sincere and genuine (and not just like oh you're always there for me taking care of me so i guess i like you lets kiss haha). he didn't even let her finish man (HYUN WOULD'VE BTW). Idek what direction this drama is heading in, I am so mad at the writer. Also Heo Namjun's acting is just annoying me- i do not connect when he's portraying complicated emotions, i think he was miscast here a lot
no reason to randomly add childhood connection here...... this is nothing special run of the mill romcom and I'll still watvh it but writers are so damn uninspired these days lol
only 3 episodes left and its still so messy..... i thought by now atleast they would show that neither of them end up w jaepil, instead pursue their dreams and maybe eventually get with oppa line. this is such a headache... also they have mischaracterised jonghee so much in episode 9. she wouldn't so easily just tell youngrye she wants her help in getting with jaepil. this is literally the girl who broke it off with him before the timeskip just for her friend, and recently she has seen them be close and would've guessed youngrye still likes him. ugh, why are they ruining it..... i also feel like hyun is coming on too strong/in kinda dicey ways idk
also for the evil uncle to be exposed asap
sanghyeon finally standing up for himself + love line with jingyeong will be interesting too!

ugh. i just cant. this could've been so nice

girls be ambitious my ass, this show was so good for the first 6 episodes and has now become some shitty makjang
i also feel like hyun is coming on too strong/in kinda dicey ways idk
however chaemin really impressed me! was a fun watch
