All my fears came true with the latest episode. It felt underwhelming, left many plot-holes, and our characters are bound to suffer forever in an endless cycle of comics. Haru disappearing just to make Dan Oh suffer again, after they just barely recovered from Dan Oh's memory loss, really made feel that the drama writers are just as cruel as the writer of Secret. They just love torturing these two. What I predicted became true, in the end both Dan Oh and Haru will forever be put in an endless cycle of comics in which they have to keep finding each other over and over again *sighs* It was one of the saddest endings ever, even though they found each other. Apart from our main couple, Lee Do Hwa, Jin Mi Chae and Soo Hyang deserved better too. The only good thing from this episode is that we got a second kiss from DanHaru, at least. I am left with the biggest hole in my heart rn after this ending, it didn't feel fullfilling because it wasn't a real happy ending :( I am really really sad rn

Istg not only the drama writers made this amnesia plot twice with both the female and male lead, now the male lead is gonna disappear for the second time. Wow that's what I call creativity /sarcasm/ Even with the spoilers I got that showed Haru and Dan Oh looking like young adults in college, I am starting to fear that they will get an bittersweet ending as in they find each other again after years or in another comic. If the "reborn in another comic" really is the ending the drama is going for, it will be so painful. Like, they would be literally put in an endless loop of them finding each other, falling in love, suffering because of it and then kept apart until the author draws them again. I mean... if that will be the ending I am gonna throw hands.
This episode was PAINFUL. Haru smiling through his tears everytime he saw memory-loss Dan Oh killed me. And what I feared the most happened: he gave up on trying to bring back her memories so that her heart wouldn't keep on hurting anymore and he even SMILED through it all, I was literally destroyed. I am glad Dan Oh regained her memories right then, otherwise it would be unbearable to see Haru being in so much pain. I still felt Dan Oh regaining her self-awareness was kinda rushed and she acted like nothing happened afterwards but *sighs* they literally filmed these scenes last week so the editing and story is being kinda rushed, as expected. FINALLY Kyung got his redemption and let Dan Oh go. It was about damn time tbh. Another painful pairing is Jin Mi Chae and Soohyang. I know, and as far as the praying scene where Dan Oh wished the writer to keep her alive longer, then her mission IS to stay alive, she didn't say she wanted to keep living because of someone, she simply said she wanted to keep on staying alive. I don't think she has to explicitly tell every important person in her life that she wants to stay alive for them or anything. The fact that she fights so hard to stay alive implies that it's because she wants to spend a longer time with the people around her, including Haru, her father and friends. Of course not, we still love them as much as before, but at the moment we are just enjoying another kind of feeling we never had before. Dan Oh may have been "lovestruck" in the beginning and even giving up on wanting to change her fate, but that was only because she was afraid of losing Haru, the only person who views her as she is. As much as her family and friends are caring, they unfortunately aren't self-aware, so Haru is even more special to her because of them both being self-aware and viewing each other's true selves, so losing him scared her. She realized that her actions have big impacts on the people around her, and she limited herself because of it, isn't that a very human thing to do? But once Haru reassures her, she went back to wanting to change her fate, being once again proactive about it. I understand your frustration of a woman looking like she loses herself when she falls in love with a man and her life appears to revolve only around him. But I don't think this trope applies to Dan Oh. She still spends time with her family and friends, of course it isn't shown as much because this is a romance drama after all, so it must focus on the romance. But one thing I find really good about Haru and Dan Oh's relationship is that even though Dan Oh may want to spend longer moments with Haru, he still goes out of his way to make her spend time with her friends as well as him, as seen in the scene where he called Saemi and Soochul for their picnic. They both bring out the good parts about each other when they are together and that's really beautiful.
Based on the preview, looks like I am gonna cry rivers on tomorrow's episode. Haru is gonna do the same things Dan Oh did for him to make her remember him again. The way he repeated the same phrases Dan Oh said to him, my heart aches just from seeing the preview :((( I just want a happy ending for these two istg

As much as I have some complaints about this drama, so far, Extraordinary you is the only drama that made me feel so excited and expectant for the next episodes ever since I started watching it. I never got so invested in a drama like I did for this one. The only other kdrama that made me so invested (aka searching for behind the scenes, wanting to know more about the whole cast, looking for spoilers, etc) was WWWSK, but I was only invested until the leads got together around episode 8 (out of 16), after that I had lost some of my interest and stopped searching more about the drama. But for Extraordinary you, we are already reaching the finale, but I still feel so excited everytime I see spoilers for it and I keep wishing for the characters's to be happy. Of course this drama has it's flaws and everyone has different opinions, but I do think Extraordinary you deserves all the hype it has been getting.

It's just a theory I came up with based on the things I pointed out, but that would be too dark. In terms of character development it would basically destroy any chance for Kyung to redeem himself too, since it would appear like he is just running away from everything.
