i have some hope for this as p’weir actually praised the script 😁 they have started filming btw. i hope they don’t rush the production too much… dmd got alot to prove with this series as their output this year hasn’t had the best reception or buzz (imo).
2 things i’m wondering about is the size of the cast (huge amount of actors in this, some will definitely have very little screen time) and also the potential love lines. i’m not convinced there will be bl and the pilot trailer only hints at a het pairing (max and janis’ characters) so idk. i don’t trust dmd whatsoever. 😂 it would be more fun if there was something though.
the audacity to say previously they had no confirmed platform to air the special episode… like how did they have a streaming platform for the series but not the special? be srs rn. idk if they did all this deliberately to sell the screening tickets or what, but it just doesn’t makes sense.

It's a drill, not a real fight (in the series) so it's expected to be choreographed and the " bad men" not really…
my point is it’s not supposed to look that choreographed and fake even if it is just a drill. even when billy and kaownah are fighting each other (and supposedly phaya is going to be seriously hurt so tharn steps in), it still looks pretty unrealistic imo. ia that the restuarant scene was definitely much better.
so it turns out i’m more tolerant of the CGI in this than the bad action sequences 😂 hopefully we’ll get less of that going forward because i know these guys are in a training camp, but it just looks really unconvincing. it doesn’t help they spent so much time on it, which kind of killed the suspense as well. hopefully the pacing and editing improves. this show has a strong lakorn vibe to it… not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing so far 😅
i do really like billy and babe’s chemistry though. i am actually quite obsessed with babe’s waterline mole, so pretty 😍 i like the fantasy aspects too, makes the show more distinctive. looking forward to seeing where that goes for sure and how phaya and tharn are connected.
ok so did a bit of "research" about this because I was curious about this DMD/CH3 collab. It's actually quite a big deal for them to be commisioned to produce a CH3 show. Feel free to correct me on any of this.
- CH3 basically said this is the start of them venturing into the BL and GL market in a big way. They also have an upcoming GL series The Secret of Us. (CH3 have aired alot of BL series, but didn't finance the shows themselves I think - just picked them up to air on tv and did very minimal promotion for them. I think To Be Continued and The Secret of Us are more like "original" CH3 projects starring their actors, so will get much more of a promotional push).
- I've seen something about CH3 calling To Be Continued their first Y (BL) series... (yes, they've conveniently forgotten about Miracle of Teddy Bear)
- CH3 chose Mandee Work (DMD) to produce To Be Continued due to their success with Cutie Pie.
- CH3 executives and P'Aof chose Junior and Fluke for these roles specifically and the supporting cast are mainly CH3 actors. Poppy (DMD) also has a role as he was at the worship ceremony. I'm presuming Aof will direct this. All the articles I saw said it's coming in "early 2024". I presume since they've just had the ceremony they will start filming very soon.
- Zee will sing the OST for To Be Continued (no formal announcement, but a CH3 producer posted about this back in August)

their storyline is just so bland imo, i couldn't buy they had a deep connection before mew found out about top cheating so the confrontation had no emotional impact. top always came across as super fake about his feelings for mew, which was partially force's acting and some really insipid dialogue. it just didn't work.

it's just too embarassing for them and there's no indication they're having one - like last year they were filming pilot trailers etc and content for it, this year there's nothing. i reckon right now when they're not doing events they're just rehearsing for dmdland 2. + hopefully nunew is working on his music.
i can imagine zomvivor filming will take awhile and they'll just be doing it whenever the cast is available. probably it will finally start filming in the next few months. personally i'm bitter dmd aren't prioritising kaamfah and there's no updates on it. also LUAT in 2025? seems likely if it's aof directing it.
mii2 actually have an upcoming event together which is surprising. i guess jimmy is slowly doing more activities little by little. i wish the best for him. i reckon we won't get any updates from punk spy for a long time. dmd barely care about it as they aren't the main producers for it anyway.
imo dmd just don't have money/resources/connections so they're so limited on what they can do for their actors, and their management and scheduling is poor. their biggest asset is basically znn. only keng is actually employed in gen3 with his upcoming movie and thomas i guess. the rest? just doing random events. god this company is a mess 😭

this project seems too ambitious for the production team to create with the funds they have and so many actresses left already due to the delays :(
