urgh, Mijoo is the worst. I wish Sung Joon would stand up to her more - he's trying to be as respectful as possible, but he needs to be more blunt and direct to get her to back off. But actually going to his house pretending you're his girlfriend, lying through your teeth to his family, all to get him to marry you, and then forcibly kissing him when he tries to reject you again? Girl, you crazy. She infuriates me so much, I'm not sure how much more of her I can stand.
This isn't worth watching tbh. This is one of the most shallow shoujo romances I have ever watched, I wasn't feeling their connection at all. Acting was ok, seen better from both leads. Chemistry wasn't really there. I don't understand why the director decided to film conversations between characters from miles away so we couldn't see anything. So weird.
This show is nuts. I could hardly believe what I was watching lol. They must have offered Han Suk Kyu a hell of a lot of money to do this, there's no other explanation.
I really quite liked the first episode. Both Hoshino Gen and Aragaki Yui are really cute~ I'm so glad that…
I love awkward dorky male leads and this writer is so good at doing them (Soratobu Kouhoushitsu, Okitegami Kyoko no Biboroku). I haven't watched this yet but have super high hopes for it. ^^ I agree that it's really refreshing, I'm getting so tired of arrogant male leads in eeeeverything.
Ji Woon/Ha Won were so cute on their little date. Shame that their charm is bogged down by this shitty narrative.
I've watched too many kdramas bc I thought Ji Woon was gonna get hit by a car at the crossing lol. Thank god he waited until the lights turned red like a sensible person.
Hye Ji sucks all the energy out of any scene she's in. On one hand I feel sorry for Naeun being saddled with such a poorly written character who's just there to cause drama. On the other hand her acting sucks so much - her crying seems so fake and she seems to have a hard time actually forming facial expressions. Girl, just stick to being an idol. You have no talent for this.
Ha Won and Ji Woon's bickering in ep 10 was super adorable. I'm just holding on to the cute at this point and rolling my eyes at the angst. It's so boring. Looks like things will get even worse next week.
I knew the real reason Kanata was mad is because she gave up so easily. Really glad that he stood by her and told her she was replaceable. They do make a good team, and the whole writing each other little messages thing was so cute. That was another pretty good episode ruined by that shitty cliffhanger. No, Chaiki, it's too late. You didn't appreciate Misaki when she liked you. You ran to Kaede and now you don't even want Kaede! He is such a mess lmao. Chiaki can't now turn around and try and butt in to a budding relationship. He knows Kanata likes her and that Misaki really cares about Kanata. They enjoy working together and understand and appreciate each other. I hated how Chiaki literally saw the note that Misaki did and was like oh shit I've gotta do something!! I'll sway her with a back hug! I'm pissed that her cake for Kanata was ruined because of him >:(
Next week looks miserable with all that yelling... where's my sweet summer drama gone :/ This dumb love triangle is really dragging to show down.
episode 7 was actually really good?? definitely the best so far, but i just really wanted misaki to give kanata…
do you mean in the sense that chiaki will eventually work his way up to confessing, and misaki will realise that the person she actually wants is kanata? bc i do think she's already there. the fact that she wants to get to know kanata and wants to be there for him shows that's she already developing quite strong feelings for him.
i guess it depends how you view her feelings for chiaki. imo they were quite superficial, and didn't go beyond a crush. they haven't even really had a honest heart to heart talk in the whole show. the person she went to for advice and support was kanata. and when all the shit went down at the end of episode 6, the one she felt so bad for was kanata, not chiaki.
personally i don't think it will shake her up that much if she finds out chiaki likes her. idk it just feels so convenient for chiaki to develop feelings for her now, when she's already moving on. i've seen it happening in so many other dramas and it's just a boring way to develop the story imo.
I'm sorry, but Touma is such a garbage person, who drowns himself in self-pity. Kanata got my respect for forgiving…
ia with you! touma has a pretty shitty attitude and treats his girlfriends like crap. i hope episode 7 is the turning point for him, he needs to grow up. i respect kanata too for forgiving him so quickly. kanata's not perfect, but touma spoke to him so harshly before bc of his own bitterness and jealousy. i wouldn't find that so easy to forgive if i was him, but kanata doesn't seem to hold grudges and obviously loves touma, even if he is a complete waste of space.
episode 7 was actually really good?? definitely the best so far, but i just really wanted misaki to give kanata a hug gdi, he needed one. i found touma's inferiority complex understandable, he's obviously been bitter for years and jealous of kanata so he's ended up completely directionless. i'm so glad he's come round and kanata was really happy to finally be working with him. aww ^^ (i really want touma to apologise to his ex though, he treated her so badly.)
ngl, i kinda shed a few tears when chiaki told touma that kanata had been waiting for him all this time. and when touma read his dad's notebook for him and realised how much he really cared about him. i honestly thought this drama was gonna be just a nice fluffy summer drama with some pretty cinematography, but it has displayed more depth than i expected. it's been a really nice surprise and i look forward to watching it every week ^^
i do wonder if kanata will ever have a real conversation with his mother or that will be it now and he'll never see her again. i loved how misaki said that kanata sees his brothers as his family and doesn't need anyone else. he's done what he could for her. they did hint that his mum may have realised that it was him. i wonder why she abandoned him. idk if we're gonna get any answers. maybe not.
also chiaki developing feelings for misaki so late in the game is just... such a boring way to manufacture some more drama. so unnecessary. just focus on misaki/kanata's development, we don't need this.
My dearest chiaki-san...it is too late for you to like misaki now. don't even think about it buddy.
ikr!!! i wish we didn't have to go through this for the added drama... lazy writing. :/ we should have just spent the last 3 episodes building up misaki/kanata. no need for this.
Why does Yamazaki Kento play the same character in so many movies - the over confident arrogant guy that treats…
because he's done alot of shoujo adaptations and the 'heroes' are basically the same archetype. his character here seems similar but hopefully there's more to kanata than we've seen so far. he has the most screentime out of the brothers for obvious reasons so hopefully that translates to more development and depth.
im loving this drama way too much. you feel that uee and her daughter are real family . i feel like uee secretly…
ikr, the bond between them feels so genuine. although i love the romance and ji hoon's relationship with his mother breaks my heart, my favourite relationship in the show is theirs. it feels so real.
