Utterly dumb. It could and SHOULD have been good. But it's simply dumb. The movie ends at 1h15. But it goes on because of reason. Mostly because the writer didn't make any effort in his script. But it's dumb. So dumb. So absurdly dumb.
Don't bother with this one, or watch it until 1h15 and imagine everybody dies. And that would have been a short and good movie. But the nonsensical twist for the sake of putting a twist and making a 2h14 movie is just D.U.M.B..
Also: the 4 guys are pricks. Or utterly stupid amateurs. Pick one. The mechanic is cool but after 1h15 he's just D.U.M.B.
If you want to watch a "gangster friends in deep sh*t" go Hong Kong or Japan, there's a sh*tload of classics. This movie is ... a waste. :/
City of Violence => the ONLY S-korean action movie well filmed, on par with the best asian action movies (even if 80-90's HK will always be the best of the best of the best ♥). The only one where you can actually SEE what's happening.
The cop, the bad, the devil (pretty stupid name BTW) was good ... but the ending was way too "political correct". Outlaws was more fun. And almost every movie with Mad Dong Seok TBH (hello "Ordinary People" ♥ ).
You can add "Default", "The Terror Live" or "The Whistleblower", "Spy Gone North" or even "Save The Green Planet" and "Running Man" in the list (between 200 and 2000 viewers), they're in my top S-korean Movies. :) (and I totally forgot to add them on MDL :p )
Yeah, Thaïland and rape ... I watched The Judgement recently ... holy crap ...
The message was "raping is not important, posting a picture (only the face) on facebook is terrible". And the hero of the show is the rapist because he wants to be punished (and the raped girl is praising him, even saying that he could be a perfect boyfriend ... yeah, a surreal scene) ... And the show is supposed to be feminist ...
2018 Taïland drama, there's still a long way to go ...
the term "strong female lead" is used so broadly it is functionally useless.
THAT !
I watched many kdramas with "strong female lead" and everytime is was the same: a dumb (somewha hysterical) plastic doll falling in love with a bastard because he's rich/beautiful.
But the worst part is ... it's tagged "strong female lead" by WOMEN.
In don't understand ... there's an article about that and really, I don't understand (and it also pisses me off greatly) women who like this disgusting characters. (-_-)"
Dropping. It could have been good if the show kept the same subject. But after some point the story is ... about something totally different, became a little contradictory, changed the usual sexist cliche for another cliche (but tearjerking) ...
Yeah, it was good and interesting in the beginning but it became something different and dull. :/
Huge letdown ... it could have been SO good if it weren't SO retard. (u_u)
The medical part is interesting, but everything else is ... beyond retard in fact: it's discriminatory. Period. Hirose Alice's character ...OMG ! How can you write something so sexist in 2020 ? (u_u) Don't say "she's funny": she's a retard. Period. This character came out of the sick brain (haha) of a sexist writer with a serious problem with women. This character ruined the show. A shame, Hirose Alice is quite a good actress (liked her in Harassment Game), she deserved something better than this. :/
Honestly, it's not just romance: kdramas are (almost) dead since 2018 for me and some people I know.
I just gave up "nobody knows" because I can't stand the writers laziness anymore. And yeah, it's not me, it's the writer: I'm currently re-watching Punch (the best kdrama there is) and it's still ... christ, they don't make kdrama like this one anymore. (♥_♥) Just before this one I re-watched Squad 38 => still (♥_♥)
And another proof that I'm not in a slump: since 2018 I'm back on jdrama, tried some HK drama, Thai drama, Taiwanese drama (big surprise TBH, I liked what I saw more than I thought I would) ... even if I don't like every one of them not ONE managed to pissed me off like kdramas do.
The other day I was reading a review about a stupid movie (Tunnel) and the guy said "I don't understand: Kmovie were great at some point, they had something but this one ? It look like an export product". And it's true that's there's more and more kdramas on netflix and such. So I'm wondering if the overall writers laziness is the result of a thinking like "let's make a drama white people can like" ... nothing good can come out of that. :/
But for me the thing that ... there's something I just can't stand anymore: ordinary sexism. Women in kdramas are always dumb (to be polite), in love of a male because he's rich/beautiful (yeaaaaaah, women are superficial aren't they ? (<_<) ), unstable (it's a known fact that every woman once a month ... FFS (<_<) ). There was an article about this not long ago BTW. Women (almost) never got a shining role like men got. In fact, women can't do what men do in kdramas, and I can't stand that anymore. And I f*cking hate seeing talented "old" actresses or "not a lightweight plastic doll" actresses playing a lazy written character in a lazy written story. (<_<)
So my final thought: I'm giving up kdramas, they're not worth my time anymore. :/
Giving up, it's TOO lazy and pompous. The writer doesn't want to make any effort and I can't stand the waste of talent. Especially actresses who deserved WAY BETTER treatment than working for people literaly spitting on their work.
It could and SHOULD have been good. But it's simply dumb.

Seriously ? (O_O)
Keep'em comin' ! \o/
Gyoretsu no Megami and Unsung Cinderella looks pretty interesting. (^_^)
Ep 7 intro killed the show for me, it's indefensible. Period.
