I put this one on hold after ep 4 because the rhythm was more than awful. I binge watched it in the last 24h ... and god I was so right for waiting until the whole serie was available. (u_u)
Touching scene, incredible actors ... and everything else is sh*t. Period.
The whole story is like this: senseless plot, meaningless twist, resolved twist, new meaningless lazy twist, resolving the twist, new utterly dumb dumb that doesn't make any sense, resolving the twist and so on until the last awfully last ep that is simply useless.
Plot holes everywhere, incredibly stupid character (the bad guys ... how lazy a writer can be ...), meaningless events everytime and good surprising endings every time. The show was written backward and like this -I'm gonna put a touching scene here -yeah, ok ... but WHY ? -because of reason, who cares ?
EVERY twists is here for ONE reason: they must be here for the good ending to exist. And that doesn't work. The whole show is an empty purposeless shell. A waste. And it pisses me off to see so talented actors working their ass off while a more than amateurish writer is getting paid for something not even on par with good fanfictions.
Kdrama is a wasteland for sometimes now. Not because of actors, but because of awful lazy writers. This drama is no exception. (u_u)
Soooooo ... the original name for this one was "stupid pretty schoolgirls go camping" ?
I mean ... they're pretty stupid. Well, pretty AND stupid. A lot. Of both. Eng subs aren't perfect but it's understandable enough, I want to see the rest. (^_^) But I'm wondering: is there a camping trend in japan ? After "eat and sleep at camp alone" there's this one ? Strange coincidence. (°o°)
I like how the second ep was all about "karma is a b*tch, you got what you deserve". ♥
But it wasn't gratuitous, it was shown in a life lesson way so you can empathize with the character (even when she was so disrespectful I'm wondering why the other character still talks to her). Yeah, it was touching, not patronizing, well written enough to say "hooooo f*ck :/" when you realize the missed opportunity/mistake of your life.
Nice surprise this drama is. Recommending it I am ! (^_^)
Strange kind of medical drama. Since it's based on the true story (apparently) of a hospital saved from bankruptcy it's more about the financial part of a hospital but also on the "vision" of what an hospital (and a doctor) should be. But I like it, I'm eager to see the rest. (^_^)
A woman is physically attacked in the street, she's defending herself => she's a bitch because she refuse to help people. ML see that => he's attacking the woman too, he's a hero.
GO.FUCK.YOURSELF. Period. (the writer, not you :p )
Ordinary sexism, make me puke. It's impossible to like a character like that.
Plus, the characterization is terrible: ML a is a shithead (that's not "not social", that's being a total douche), the bad guy (the one is going to punch) is a lazy cliche.
Retard is the only word to acutely describe the narrative of this show. (>_<)
Ep 7 was ... FFS even in a batman comic book the Joker wouldn't do what bahama guy did. Or maybe he could, but that's not the point. (>_<) Seriously ... a crane ? A F*CKING CRANE ? And a drive in theater ? WTF was that ?!? (>_<)
The writer try so hard to make bahama guy a bad guy it become more ridiculous every time he's on screen. Now he's even about to cry ... because of a piano theme ? SERIOUSLY ? And what about the "don't wear red, you'll look like a witch" ? WTF ?!? (>_<) And what about "100 bucks, 200 bucks, 300 bucks ..." ?
Let's be clear: Teo Yoo is good in his role (incredibly good english BTW) like everybody else, but his character doesn't make any freaking sense ! (>_<) Well, it's not about sense I think, it's more about "suspension of disbelief" maybe ? The whole crane scene was a thing you can only find in a comic book. And even in a comic book it would be ludicrous. (u_u)
That wasn't the only problem today: the chicken part. Seriously, what was the point ? What is the whole point of these characters anyway ? Except wearing a sign "we'll be the reason of a stupid twist somewhere along the road" I mean.
I don't spoil the story (once again everything is in the cliff' .... yeaaaah). Every sentences I quoted could come from a good scene. Or an insignificant scene. The whole point of my rant is: there's everything needed for a good drama but the retard writer is sh*tting on the work of every actors, actresses, director, music composer, people responsible for the sound or the light, people who take care of the costumes or the locations ...
I was watching South Park the other day, it was the fag episode (you know, with the biker and the bike-curious). In the same way you don't think homosexual when you say fag, you don't think mentally challenged when you say retard. In both cases you think about a guy who's purposely ruining the mood or the work of somebody else. Retard is a synonym of troll, useless, worthless, bastard, SOB ... but I'm digressing because I.AM.SO.PISSED. I could behead the writer and drink the blood from his skull as a rightful revenge for my wasted time (I'm also on a sword and sorcery period, listen to Skullview, it's funny) ! (>_<)
I'm dropping this, absolutely everything is marvelous but the writer's doing everything he can to ruin it. It's like watching someone beating a puppy to a pulp: so excruciating you dream about murder. (<_<)
At this point it's a complete catastrophe, I don't even know what was the point of ep 6: there's a cliff' (again) but apart from that ...
Also, I must say that everybody is giving their all but the playboy from bahama ... his character is simply too badly written, his acting part is ridiculous and out of place (a wannabe cool guy hey hey hey ... WTF ?!? ) making his scene kinda ... dumb.
Not sure if this is worth it, I'm pretty disappointed by how the awfully weak writing is ruining everybody's job (actors, director, music composer). :/
Wooooo ... ep 5 ... this is turning for the worst ...
The writer absolutely does NOT control his story, he's putting big scene after big cliff' after big twist ... that not how you make a (good) story, it's amateurish and boring to watch. :/
After all I think it's going to be another Sketch: marvelous actors, terrible writing. Such a shame. :(
As much as I like the show ... As much as the acting part is so goooooooood ... Nah, the writing part of the show is really not on par with everything else. Too simple. Simpleton even. :/
The scenes are good (the tofu scene => so funny/cute (^_^) ) but the build up, the base is ... Last week I was wondering "why the bad is a bad guy for what he wants ?". The reason was shown this week: because the people he works with are bad.
BLAM ! That's it.
I'm sorry but that's not a good exposition (you can't even call that exposition TBH), that's not a good reason, that's not a good build up ...
The show reminds me of Sketch: Sketch was an awfully good show because the acting part was wonderful and the writing part was simply and utterly messed up. Money Game is not on the same level of catastrophic storytelling (*) but the real value of the show is undoubtedly the actors/actresses.
So yeah, I like this one, but it's flawed.
Ps: (*) while the narrative is not a big pile of sh*t I must say, and everybody will agree, that the sumar president scene was ... as bad and stupid and lazy and sh*tty as the dog trope (to show a character is a bad one by making him killing a dog). That's the only moment ... it was beyond terrible. (u_u)

The woman is the victim, not the one assaulting her.
That's plain sexism. Period.

Just to tease you: ep 5 cliff' is even worst. :D
I mean ... really ? (O_O)

You play ? You pay ! Simple as that. (^_^)
Except the usual and sexist evil mother character (I skip the ep) this show was a perfect recipe from beginning to the end.
And Obana-san => ♥
Old school actor for a showa era character, I'm in love with it, he make me cry a river of manly tears. (*_*)
I highly recommend this one for jdrama fan and food porn lover.
And this scene's making clear the writer don't have much of a baggage in terms of financial problems OR he doesn't care much about exposition.
So ... yeah, as I said before, the writing part isn't on par with the acting part. :/
Still, after Default, it's a good drama to watch so far. (^_^)
Just watch the second one, it's sooooo good, kind of like Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san. ♥
As much as the acting part is so goooooooood ...
