No, the ending is the opposite of the ...

The ep end on something and the whole ep was about everything but this ! (o_O)

6eps left, the show begins now, that's all that matters. I think. (°_°)

Well ... before ep 9 I was thinking "Kim Eung Soo didn't like his role so he made a scene and imposed a change in the story so he can be the hero".

After ep 10 I'm sure of it. That's the only explanation I can think of after seeing this mess. (O_O)

The typical (bad) kdrama: utterly (overused) stupid comedy part balanced with overdramatic (useless) moments (the mother ... ugh, so cliche (u_u) ). :/
Pick a side FFS. :'(

Overall not that bad, simply generic.

Like the female lead though.

Ep9: I'm sure something happened on stage, there wasn't one scene with hyeri (with a normal screen time) and KSK (who was here for about 2 minutes today) together and the whole ep was about a conclusion made 7 eps ago. (°_°)
Even without that the two MC are ... support roles at best.

But hey, it looks like the show is about to begin. Not in ep 10. But the beginning is about to start next week I think. (^_^)

Ps: the ending ... I'm sorry but it's a retcon. A complete rewriting of the story. (o_O)

Almost every female character in kdrama and kmovie are dumb, hysterical, weak minded, dependent of man, superficial ... and so on.

And let's not talk about idols or surgery or slim beauty, you'll embarrass yourself.

That's the most basic cultural (and somewhat patriarchal) propaganda you can find.

You can rant all you want, korea is a sexist country. Like almost every other country, yes. More or less, but sexist nonetheless.

It seems like you're lacking some basic knowledge/reflection, so let's put it this way:
-X is country where women are beaten everyday for their own good because of an old law
-X is a f*cked up country, and clearly sexist

So there's two choices here by the way you're thinking
-you can't say this a sexist country because you can't mix people with their culture
-you can say this is a sexist country so every women are sexist since this is their culture

Do you understand now how out of place you are with your racist inquisition ? Culture =/= people, mixing people and culture is the most racist thing to do. You can judge someone by his actions, his thoughts, his sayings. His culture have nothing to do with it ! First and foremost, in every culture, everybody is taking some of it and ignoring some of it. Culture is one of many tool to build yourself, culture doesn't define you, you're defining your own culture.

And if you want a hint at my country, I live in a country where 99% of rapists are free. And it's a fact. And it's a european country. One which love to talk about women right when it comes to islam but always ready to say that "my country is a good country, we are not sexist, THEM (pointing fingers, mostly at middle east country or Africa) are the true sexist".
Another hint ? Domestical abuse make more victims than every terrorists organizations in the whole europe (Turkey included), but politician don't give a f*ck about it, they only talk about how dangerous the terrorists and islam are for the women. They even recently got rid of an institute that make reports of domestical abuse numbers (deaths, injury, complains ... ), so now it's gonna be even harder for the victims to be heard (but it's good for the politicians: no number means no problems HEY HEY HEY ! \o/ ).

So yeah, I'm living a f*cking sexist hypocritical country. I'm ranting on it and I'm pissed off every day. TBH the propaganda of this movie is the same bullsh*t that is said by the "feminist" politician of the government (yeah, she even defended two ministers accused of rape because of it). But clearly you can't say that this culture is defining me. (^_^)

The most important thing to do isn't to fight among ourselves to check who's the real sexist and who's not, it is to recognize sexist propaganda and pointing it.

Movies this bad should be forbidden by law. (°_°)

I'm calling what I'm seeing. Period.

I don't give a single damn about who's the worst country in term of this or that: the only kind of people talking like that are the most racist ones, using this fake argument to pretend that "we are not the bad ones but the others are". And I must say that I'm tired of hearing it TBH, it's on every news paper every day on every subject ... and nothing's changing since it's most urgent to point fingers at the worst bad country instead of resolving any problems. But that's another topic.

And if you really wanna talk about disrespectful I think and I insist that a movie spitting on the face of raped women is the most pertinent subject. (^_^)

Well, as much as I liked ep 1&2 I have to say that this week was kinda ... weak. :/

I didn't like the change of tone, too much stupid comedy without heavy drama to balance it.
I really don't like the fact that they're already hinting at (stupid and useless) romance.
And the starting point of the story ... doesn't make any sense (a top notch hacker/scammer got scammed by a two bits scammer with an inferiority complex ? He didn't do his research before investing 2 millions ? Seriously ? :/ ).

This week seemed like ... ep 3 was useless (transition between the drama and the revenge) and ep 4 was too long BUT without any real progress. :/

So yeah, I still like the show but this week was underwhelming to say the least. :(

And for the whole show, I do hope that (spoiler alert) =>

... no ... and that's kind of surprising since there was a scene in ep 4 (IIRC) which hinted a possible romance between the leads. Plus there's two male that fits the usual triangle (one nice and dumb, one "rich" (well dressed to be precise) bastard).

So nope, no romance so far and I find it really strange because there's everything needed for. (°_°)

Ep 9 & 10 => if you don't like it, you don't like kdrama. Period.

I am astonished by the narrative, the characters and how better it gets case after case.


Once again it's 2 ep = one case BTW, once again it's ... in fact it's a serie that deserves a spin off movie.

Just watch it, except ep 5&6 (now I'm sure they were written by somebody else, they are way too different from the others) every double ep is a marvellous korean movie on its own.

My biggest problem: the one responsible for everything is now a victim ... seriously ? (>_<)
Other than that the show didn't move in inch, I don't even understand the point of the story anymore.

I'm wondering if anything happened, because it looked like Hyeri was almost never on screen this week ...

Better than the first two, the third is the best, good one with a messed up 10 minutes ending.

By now you know what you're getting into, if you liked/watched the first three you can give it a try. (^_^)

ep 7 => this is starting to get really infuriating ... :/

I was right for super twist about the hospital, and the rest of the ep was exactly the same as ep6 ending: everybody is stupid, this is not funny anymore, and the show still hasn't started. It even looks like the show is far from getting started ... :/

First time I'm fast-forwarding, not a good omen ...

I still like the show but for christ sake ... MOVE ON ! :/

ps: fun fact => I hated this ep => Hyeri was almost NEVER on screen ... not really surprising when you think about it, she's the main point of the show after all. :p

An utterly messed up version of Midnight Runner.

Fun for about 1 hour then everything goes to hell for 45 minutes because ... because a movie with poop joke can not be a serious movie about molka FFS ! (>_<)

And you know what: it has absolutly nothing (well ... almost) in common with (the excellent) Squad 38. :)

It's more serious here, there's a personnal reason for everything (it's not about the unfairness of society to be precise), there's a conspiracy, there's a heavy drama ... if you reluctant to watch the show because of how it sounds similar to (the excellent) Squad 38, don't ! It's some nice conning men/women against bad people but that's about it, everything else is on a different path. :)

Killing the kid was the only way to go on (because now it's personnal ! ) but it's ballsy nonetheless.

Apparently it's different from the original show, it's even better this way: remake, but with some modifications. Thank you writer.

And it's also good to see lee dong gun again in a serious role after Sketch. :D

So rushed ... there's almost not one second wasted ! :o

Surprised by the quality of the narrative: quick exposition, comic moment when it's appropriated, characterisation well made ... yep, that's an excellent start in my books.

You could nitpick about the mother (of course it's the father who's doing everything for the son, mothers are only here to take care of the child, crying and being desperate when the husband is not around ...) BUT it's balanced with TWO female character that aren't weak (each one has a skill set of her own) while the usual dumb part is done by a male.

That's how you write a story: there's balance. Thank you writer. (^_^)
And the best part: there won't be any stupid romances ! ML is married ! YATTA ! \o/
