Generously giving it a 6/10 on my scale, the ending was shit (the whole show was pointless, but it was to be expected), way too unbalanced (too much tearjerking killed the show), couldn't stand the ML in the end ... yeah, a waste of time you could say.

Even if 9 eps is short the last two's made me feel like it was too long, it says a lot on the writing.

Moving on to a good show, I seriously need a better written one, this one's gonna forgotten in one week.
Go watch Gibo to musume no blues people, this one is only good if you have nothing else to watch ATM. (^_^)

The way aek reacted only for him to say "ok no problem" afterward ... I still don't get why he was pissed off (except being a prick).
Then the "I'm scared" scene ... a scene like that in another country would be branded as homophobic. Even "La cage aux folles" isn't so embarrassingly dumb. :/
And the mother ... the "I speak one word in english out of two because of reasons" mother ...
And the pacing ... last week was so good, what happened ? :(

No doubt about it: Tsukano san is by far my favorite character ! ♥

I'm wondering how are the characters in the book because Tamura san looks like she's working like a rabid dog (every time you see her she's walking/moving) BUT she really doesn't have a lot of screen time sadly. :(
Plus I really liked her intro, there's much to show with a female character and the death of a patriarchal society, her struggle to make her place in it and now struggling to right the wrongs.
Yeah, she undoubtedly deserves more screen time. (^_^)

I'm a ep 8, the contrast Tsukano/Shibasaki was REALLY heavy, of course Shibasaki can't understand Tsukano one bit, Tsukano sacrificed everything and he's alone. He's been chew and spit by the system without having the benefit place of his own, where's he's waited/needed.
When Shibasaki said "I need your strength" that was probably the first time if his life he was really needed and not used ... Tsukano is such an interesting/rich character, so much symbols in him. ♥

Anyway and once again: otskaresama subber, without you I would have missed an excellent and stimulating Jdrama. ♥

Once again, something I don't understand: why the hell Aek reacted this way in ep 4 ending ? (O_°)

Truth is Ihara Rikka looks way way WAAAAAAAAY to old to be a teenage girl (I can't believe she's 22, she looks like she's a tired 30 (°o°) ), the rest too but it's less apparent.
Since it's an adaptation, making live acting with manga stupid narrative (lots of faces with big eyes, deformed face, sadistic laughing pose and so on) isn't going to work but it's good enough to be enjoyable. And there's cooking lessons with a lot of variety (to the point I don't really get what donburi is anymore).
Plus, and that's a good sign, it makes me want to try the manga, it looks like it's fun. (^_^)

Yep, when you know a bit about france, this is what this scene looked like: awfully ridiculous.

The "cassoulet" scene on the other hand ... yeah, it's a well know dish from south. Except it's mostly known because it's makes you FART LIKE HELL ! Because of the fat, the beans and the greasy meat it's something hard to digest, hence the fart.

Plus, but that's another subject: foie gras.
Nowadays it is a a really touchy topic here, because the way you make this is by torturing animals . Yeah, you don't "feed" ducks with corn, you're pushing food down their throat (it's called "gavage" in french, meaning "force feeding" dixit the dictionary). Truth is "foie gras" is a sick liver, so it's more and more regarded as an outdated pompous food (back in the days poor people would hate it on christmas, to make it look like it's a feast for rich) made in a barbarian way (don't look documentary about it, it's ... not human, pure cruelty).

Another one (because after that I gave up): the "accordeon".
Yeah, so be very clear, "accordeon" is an instrument that was popular in France ... 70 years ago.
Nowadays there's only ONE KIND of people playing this shit (yeah, EVERYBODY hate this instrument now, only really old people could like this sound) and they are ... BEGGARS ! Only illegals (Romanians or other eastern country) think french like that. They're playing this in the subway, and it's pissing off everybody. Thankfully it became rarer with time ... but in the 90's, it was pain to take the subway.
The last known accordionist was an old woman (check Yvette Horner, born in 1922), her fame died in the 80's (french in television in the 80's was aiming hard on old people, she was the last one who could please the grand ma and grand pa).

Aum saying "I miss him" => Prem is working in the same restaurant.

When I think about it I'm wondering if anything happened on stage: first 2 eps were good but after that it's a biblical mess ... last year there was a lakorn I liked like that (excellent start then catastrophe because of problems behind cameras, ending in the cancellation of the show), talk about bad luck. :/

I thought a lot of gibo to musume no blues (excellent drama, go see it) while watching five eps, unlike this show kazoku boshu shimasu is lacking some stupidity to enhance the naive and touching point of view.
In one word: it's like Shigeoka Daiki character smile => way too forced.

But I like it (I'm a sucker for "what's a family ?" story), there's just a lack of balance in the narrative. Too bad. :/
