i find SXJ a very interesting character. she is much more than what she appears. she is soft spoken, gentle but very perceptive, sharp, and knows how to protect herself and survive, and also does not place her happiness/life on others, she is able to feel content in very simple things. one of the scenes that stand out to me is her talking to her maids about Sun Yun Er and Zi Yu in Ep 15.

SXJ: It’s evident that what a person often speaks of might not be what he already has. It could also be what he lacks most and fears losing most.

haha gotcha, yeah this drama has been a really nice surprise

that's what i was going to do too but then i was like ah who am i kidding myself haha and then i thought ok let me try not watching tomorrow's episode but then i saw the preview and was like nope lol

CXZ: Whatever her background is, whatever she has done, and who she is, these things are not important. The fact that I like her will never change.

I went from feeling all touched by CXZ’s declaration of love for LMT to cracking up by ZQ 🤣

i do see where you're coming from. but imo, her being cold/distant towards him means she's actually not over it, usually people acting this way is because they are using coldness to cover up their anger/hurt/fear or she's trying to suppress them. maybe she is trying to convince herself that she is done. in regards to her feeling confused, i meant she is unsure about both her true feelings towards CXZ and about CXZ's love for her. she may have resolved to leave him but it seems she is still struggling with her feelings towards him, she still cares for him but at same time is still upset with him. i do agree she is no longer like the amnesia LMT but i also think she may no longer be like the old LW.

yeah it's sad that they have to go their separate ways when they were also so happy together before. i think they brought out the more softer, better sides of each other.

things got a lot more complicated for these two lol. anyways, hopefully future episodes will give us more insight.

Ep 22:

When they were watching the sky lanterns together, LMT was holding tightly onto her hairpin while CXZ clenched his fist. The drama is doing good job showing these unspoken feelings. Now it seems the trust has been broken and hearts shattered on both sides.

it seems like LMT has been acting cold/distant bc she is feeling hurt, scared, confused, and conflicted, and she needs time to fully process everything that has happened (and she has been through very traumatic experiences) in order to figure out her true feelings.

CXZ: If you recall everything later, you can always... do what you think is right.

LMT and CXZ conversation at Mt Yang was heartbreaking. But the truly heartbreaking parts are prob yet to come. But also however heartbreaking it'll be, i hope it'll be even sweeter when he tries to win her back and when they get back together. they'll become the power couple.

Yeah maybe except he prob knows more about the corrupted methods but just turning a blind eye.

that's also a possibility, her helping to restore the legitimate heir to the throne but later prob found out about the corruption and backed out of their plans and that's when things went bad for her.

i keep feeling like LW was manipulated/deceived by Prince Sui and Sun Yun Er. LW seems to give a "Robin Hood" vibe, maybe she was led to believe that she is doing it for the right reasons, to protect and help people but in reality she/her LW identity was being used to prepare for the rebellion/coup and maybe to get rid of CXZ. i dont believe she actually a traitor. and also CXZ had said, he doesn't hate LW, he feels like them two are alike, and they admire each other. idk i think there's more to the story.

my understanding is that the Grand Empress Dowager is the "grandmother" of Emperor while Empress Dowager is the "mother" of the Emperor. i think in this case, the GED is maybe the grandmother of the late Crown Prince. i might be wrong though.

yess agree with the advice. i am getting the feeling that both LMT and CXZ already sense that there's been a shift in their relationship, like CXZ senses something different with LMT and LMT maybe also knows he knows lol but neither of them are going to actually say it because they want to hold onto their carefree, simpler days as just ordinary husband and wife, they not ready to face the hard truth yet.

Ep 19

ok the scene where LW confronts that assassin guy was... SO good lol. LW almost had me fooled but thank goodness she was steps ahead of him, she saw right through his lies.

When CXZ said "LW has probably returned"...got the chills...

same! and love his paintings too haha

looking forward to watch the upcoming episodes. i usually skip the angst parts but i think it's going to be interesting to see how it all unfolds, the suspense of LW playing mind games with CXZ, when they meet each other as LW and Lord CXZ (vs LMT and CJ), how they will eventually confront/fight each other, and how their relationship changes with the new love hate dynamic, and finding out more about their backstory. and also seeing the darker sides of both characters, ok i'm curious about everything lol.

zq: next time when you tell her, stay far away from me. i'm afraid of getting splashed with blood.


Now that LW has awakened...let the real game begin...and the showdown...i'm readyyy for it

i liked this scene, sweet and sad at the same time. Them creating their marriage certificate together, LMT say one line and CXZ write one line. LMT feeling loved and all happy while CXZ was basically saying goodbye to her.

And CXZ personally writing the letter of divorce made that scene even more emotional.

i know right haha, and the part ZQ slowly moved the painting downwards and then you see CXZ right there staring at him 🤣
