You are too kind. Thanks.

I really like your review with exception of mentioning other popular casts. While I get the mention, that it would…
I mentioned other popular stars and their influence in the ratings with the hope that people who are more into the cast rather than the acting and other important aspects of a drama will be more cognizant of their choice's influence on the ratings of show in MDL. As I've mentioned it quite a few times, that the acting was excellent, but, the show had a really, really hard time getting a good rating from the very beginning to even towards the finish line as people weren't really watching it all that much cause the actors aren't really high profile (Except for maybe Oh Yeon Seo, although she actually started to get a lot of love After MFEO over time became quite popular as an underrated gem).

All the while other shows kept gaining huge score, believe it or not, within the release of just the first 2 episodes, and even when the story fell flat in the very middle and had disastrous endings , it became very clear that those shows will still retain a very healthy portion of that initial ratings, because the cast was very popular. The reviewers did a good job of highlighting the downfall of storyline of those shows (Thankfully), but the overall ratings gave a very misleading picture.
This happens to many shows, and I just tried to remind people who were finally watching it and enjoying it that just because a show is not filled with super popular stars, they shouldn't sleep on it if other aspects of the show are on point. Often time those who watch a show after a year or so after it's been released, gets misguided by inflated ratings of shows done by super popular casts, and also by the depressed ratings of shows where the cast wasn't that popular. That's basically the point I tried to send across.

Is Lee Elijah confirmed for this? She's not on the official poster.
I'll be absolutely livid if she isn't in this 2nd iteration. Her chemistry and backstory with Jang Seung Jo in season 1 is absolutely crucial to this 2nd one.

Yeah, they are generally called Neo-Noir or Post-Noir. I am actually happy that some version of noir still exists, I really enjoy them.

What's the meaning of "Noir Film"?
It predominantly means a dark storyline with grey characters, uncertain moral boundaries and very much full of cynicism and memory flashbacks. The storyline is complicated with twists and turns, mostly surrounding crime and violence. The heroes aren't really pure hearted or anything, they are more pessimistic and cynical and may not care about who they harm (Although, it may vary film to film). If it's required, the will do it. They are mostly interested about getting things done, even if by questionable means. It's also, more often than not, quite melodramatic. The cinematography is Dark, it looks very different from let's say, romantic movies or general kdramas.
For example: Sin city, Memories of Murder (korean), Oldboy (Korean), The Batman (2022) , Monster (Japanese Anime) among others.
Noir films are anything but feel good shows. I believe the golden age of Noir was around 1940-1960. After that noir films are called "Post-Noir" films, although, that's I suppose an individual preference of naming new noir-type films.

Okay, so the rating is still on 8.7
I was hoping it would at the very least reach 8.8 over time after it had finished.
8.7 is a very high rating, but It still really doesn't do justice to how good this show is.
Anyway, those who are new and watching this show for the first time,
GOOD LUCK.

I am positively Loving this show. When I first started out, based on the synopsis, I didn't think I would actually stick to this show, but now, can't wait for next episodes.

I don't see how this one is supposed to run this month, we are yet to see any trailer, not even a poster. Maybe the Date given here is not from official source?

I'mma wait for a few episodes to release first. I will definitely give it a go, been waiting for Kang Ha Neul drama for quite a while. His last main project "When the camellia blooms" was a banger.

I guess its mostly kids (say 10-13 years old) who write stupid comments like that.
Hope so. I certainly hope they aren't adults, cause that would be grossly irresponsible of them, also, somewhat creepy.

When will the 5th and 6th episodes be released? Are they delaying the release by 1 day for all episodes? Here the episode counter is saying it's been aired already.

People should really refrain from using terms like "Old and Ugly", for god's sake. If you wanna talk about age and looks, do so very respectfully. Did someone ask you to marry or date the guy yourself that you are bashing his looks and age? Looks, which by the way, is a lot more of a subjective opinion. In relationships, age gap is also a very subjective opinion.
I guess people like you have great looking brains as there's no wrinkles in them.
