Very random, but if you're looking for something to watch whilst you wait for new episodes of DK, you should watch…
I wanted to watch that but then I saw the description says the leads were raised as siblings as kids, and I just hate that. I know they're not blood related, but I find it weird. That's something I like about Dynamite Kiss, the leads met as adults.
On Thundercloud Rainstorm Dec 14, 2025
This has a high rating so I tried it... Yikes. It's my fault for not noticing the "cousins relationship" in the tag. Other than that, it's very flat imo. The one lead is just plain mean. The other lead has totally different personalities from scene to scene. If I'm going to watch a drama with toxic relationships, there are better examples.

This show has me stressing out. I'm waiting for Xiao to hit rock bottom, I hoped we'd be there in this episode but no, he's still plotting. That last scene, in the little room (closet?), was really good but I need more. I thought that in the end he'd resolved to not go to hell, since Shulang won't be there with him. But I guess he got even more resolved to drag Shulang down with him. What does he think he'll get out of this new situation? It'll make Shulang hate Xiao even more...
Meh, if they just get back together without any resolution I'll be so pissed. Everyone keeps telling me that doesn't happen, but I need to see it to believe it.
Thank goodness there's another episode tomorrow.

Yay, things are moving along! Great episode for the most part.
I don't watch whatever show the lawyers are on, and found it weird. It ruined what should have been a really serious scene. The mom is finally standing up to the awful man who has literally caused her to try to take her own life. It's a very brave thing, and the show inserted a comedic cameo. Made a joke of it.

Okay so. Fair warning. This is going to be a long one. I have a lot of thoughts and I’m not sure I’ve fully…
Fascinating. It's walking a thin line, to be entertained by such a toxic concept, but not endorsing it. I do hope that the resolution is somewhat satisfying, because yes they may be fictional characters, but I'll be disappointed if the show just shrugs and gets them back together without any significant character development. I'm worried at the reference to Gothic romance, because those usually end real badly for everyone.

Title To My Shore Spoiler
The last 10-15 minutes of episode 8 was so good. I went from being devastated thinking that Shulang was going to fall for Xiao's lies, to being happy that he didn't, to being sad to see him so broken. I was so angry at Xiao (and still am) but that last bit where he's freaking out in his head because he really doesn't want to go, that was brilliant. I mean, he's still a twisted gaslighting bastard, but... It gave me the crumbs I needed to see that his character is redeemable.
What happened with the ex? Was he just sitting there the whole time? I feel extra bad for him, even though he made a dumb decision to break up with Shulang, I feel like he's paid for it. He's not a bad guy. I just realized there's no second couple in this show, and it doesn't need one.
Anyway, I'm just typing a stream of consciousness at this point lol.

"I hope they're not gonna pull up some abo desire bullshit where Fan Xiao just pulls out a puppy face and…
Literally that pissed me off so much in ABO Desire, "I know it was wrong but I had to do it! I just loved you sooo much!!" Then the other lead was like "okay" and that was it. They really took so much potential and flushed it down the toilet. If that happens with this show I'll be so mad. They have two really strong leads, and it won't be right if Shu Lang accepts Xiao back easily.

J and Jinn continue to be delightfully adorable together, even as the looming consequences of J changing the future…
Yeah, J goes from fighting with Jinn to acting like they've been together for years. It makes sense that Jinn would be a little lost. He wants to experience the beginning of the relationship.

Do you recommend watching this?I’ve been following the ratings — it started strong, but now it’s dropping…
This is like an old-school kdrama. Misunderstandings, convenient illnesses or injuries, poor-FM rich-ML, jealous best friend, family trauma. If you're worried about too cliche, it might not be for you lol. I'm enjoying it, it's not too serious but not too silly if that makes sense.

I'm so happy that they met as grown ups, I'm so tired of "they actually met once in a playground as five year olds" or some nonsense.

Thank goodness the ML found out, I was going to give up hope if they tried to drag it out another episode.
Not sure why there's a lot of negativity against the FL. First, if she says she's not married she'll probably get fired. Second, the ML is engaged, which means she doesn't have a chance with him anyway. (at least that's what she thinks) Third, she's paying the ML back for the loan shark money so if she risks telling the truth and gets fired she'll be back to square one. No money and no job.
Anyway, last episode I had defended the 2ML but I can't anymore. He should have let the fiancee tell the truth. Or at least told the FL his feelings. I really hate unrequited love that drags on like this. Either tell them or don't, but if you keep your mouth shut don't act like a sad sack about it.

Title Dynamite Kiss Spoiler
This episode made me feel so bad for the ML. I guess I hadn't really processed how his parents situation would have made him especially against the idea of having an affair with a married women. Obviously no good person would want to do that, but he has so much extra emotional baggage. The show told his story earlier, but the scene with the fever dream really struck a chord.

I know it's scary to stand up to a parent, especially one like Saint's dad, but at this point it's eight episodes of the same thing. The dad sees Saint around Ice and locks him up or threatens him, then later sets Saint free on the condition that he stays away from Ice. That's a summery of what's happened. Oh, we also get to see Ice absolutely destroyed from every angle. I'm tired, grandpa.

I'm loving the series and both couples, but I really need New to stop making the kisses in his series so awkward,…
I was disappointed because I wanted a kiss like we got in Bad Buddy. It was like they'd been told to keep their jaws clenched tight.

Okay, so I didn't fall in love with the first episode. I didn't like or dislike it. It's just... I dunno, what's the plot? Sad boy gets with another sad boy and has lots of angst and sexy times? Look, I loved Not Me, and the same person directed this, so I really want it to be good. But I'm going to need something more than dark rooms and sultry music.
Before everyone comes for me, this is just my reaction after the first episode. I'm neutral at this point.

I mostly agree with you, he's supposed to be a bad person to start with. I just hope that they actually have him…
There's still like 10 episodes left, so there's lots of time for character development. I don't think it's fair to write off the whole show yet, it's too early, plus Xiao is clearly shown as wrong for what he's doing to Shu Lang.

Title To My Shore
I really want to say this thing.(my perspective). Every time a series like this releases there are always people…
I mostly agree with you, he's supposed to be a bad person to start with. I just hope that they actually have him learn and change. I've seen so many shows (not just BLs) where the toxic character stays pretty much the same. When they get called out for their behavior by the other lead character, they'll say "I'm sorry but I couldn't help myself!" And then they try to justify themselves and pester the other lead until they accept their apology. This is terrible, because it tells the audience that SA and other manipulation is okay as long as you have really strong feelings or a sad backstory. I know this happens in real life, but I personally want my fiction to have a better ending, you know?
Anyway, I'm really liking this show, it's messed up but somehow compelling. I'm crossing my fingers that Xiao has a good character arch. Right now I'm enjoying the chemistry that the actors have, it's refreshing.
