Title Idol I Spoiler
I'll never understand being upset that an idol/celebrity is dating. The show tried to make viewers feel sympathetic to the FL, while she was all sad in bed, but it just doesn't work for me. Idols are people. They date. I know, I know. "Different culture" and whatever. Moving on.
It's interesting, when she watched the ML from afar, she felt connected with him, but seeing him up close she realizes that they live in two very different worlds. I hope they're not setting up an unrequited love story with the 2ML. I like this show so far, but don't do that, I'll drop it. I have no patience for that particular trope right now.

I know they're going to make us wait, but I really want her to reveal that she met the ML back in school. I also want to know more about what happened with her dad. So yeah, good show but the FL crying in bed for DAYS over dating rumors made me roll my eyes so hard.

Title Idol I
The English title "Idol I" doesn't make any sense.아이돌아이 is:- Revised Romanization: aidolai-…
English titles are often nonsensical. They also could have used "I, Idol" and it would have made more sense. Then it would be like saying that he's only an idol, not a unique individual. And it would be in keeping with the episodes we've seen, people reduce him to a thing to control. His mother, his fans, his company, etc.

Lowkey I wish we could have two separate comments sections, one for those who have read the novel and one for those of us who haven't. Yes, I know it's my own fault for coming in here, feel free to tell me I'm being dumb, I know it. I can't seem to help it though.
Anyway, I liked episode 14, specifically when Shulang and Xiao had some long talks. I'm not very good at putting it into words, but it felt like they were finally understanding each other properly. Shulang wasn't getting fooled anymore, and Xiao seemed like he really will distance himself from Shulang, for his safety. Because even though Xiao is a crazy-pants, and highkey evil at times, he really loves Shulang. In his own way.

So yeah. It was good to see Xiao at a low point. Maybe I'm the evil one, but I was happy to see him suffering. Now I'll be okay when they get back together, I think. Not happy like fairytale ending, but at least satisfied.

He hasn't lost all of his money. Some of it, yes, but not all of it. His status is as good as gone, though, but…
Okay, I saw people saying the he's broke now, or that Shulang will have to support him, etc. I thought that didn't seem right, thanks for confirming it. As for the "chance" encounters, I guess Xiao has been plotting for so long that I'm extra suspicious, lol.

They will tell that in EP 14.
I think we're talking about two different things. I'm saying that episode 13 didn't clearly explain what happened with Xiao. You responded by talking about something that apparently will happen in episode 14, which of course I haven't seen yet.
But I can see from your other comments that you and I won't agree in general, so I'll end it here.

It's clear that you're someone who has read the novel, so you are seeing this from a different perspective. I don't know what will happen in the rest of the show, I'm just a regular viewer who is seeing the episodes as they come out. My opinion is based on what has been presented in the show so far.

Title To My Shore Spoiler
If there's one thing that I feel like the show didn't convey properly, it's that Xiao has apparently lost all his money. Before people come at me and say that it's obvious, they didn't show him in prison at all, right? There was like one news clip and the next thing we know he's on a beach, still controlling Shulang's life. I honestly thought him showing up as a low level employee (in the pharmacy and restaurant) was him cosplaying as poor. Faking it to arrange "chance" encounters. I thought that even though his family business is gone, he probably had lots of money stashed in secret. He still has his errand boy hanging around Shulang, like nothing changed.

But the comments here are saying that he's lost his power base and money entirely. I still like the show, I'm just saying that this part wasn't really made clear and it made me assume that Xiao still had his status like previously. Especially since we've seen 12 episodes of him in complete control, always ten steps ahead. I had no reason to believe this was any different.

Eh.. he doesn’t need your forgiveness tbh.. you are part of the society and society doesn’t fuck with people…
So true. It won't be sunshine and kittens. The people who read the novel are superimposing it onto the show. Or possibly just misunderstanding the concept at its basic level.
Somewhat related, I've noticed in other cdramas, it seems common to forgive a person without that person really doing anything to earn forgiveness. I'm used to characters being more stubborn, nobody gets a free pass. Forgiveness isn't something that comes easily in shows I usually watch, or in my real life for that matter. Anyway, I only mention it because it's not just this show where there's a lack of the catharsis that I prefer.

No, you're right. All the stuff Xiao is doing is just... Fixing problems he caused himself, and controlling Shulang while lurking in the shadows. It's not a true redemption arc, not in the classic sense.

But, I'm still okay with it. Why? Because it doesn't make sense for Xiao to become "good." He won't truly let Shulang go, he's still a broken person not capable of real selflessness. He'll never be normal. What we saw in this episode is literally the only way he knows to fix what he did. He's still hanging around, but finally it's to do good things for Shulang, not bad. For him, even this level of backing off is a huge step. It's the best he can do.

So I understand if you don't forgive Xiao, I wouldn't either. The thing is, I feel like the show did a good job at making me understand why *Shulang* will end up forgiving him.

Guys I'm very madWhy rating is so low and why they are not famous like Revenged Love n ABO Revenged Love popularity…
The sad truth is a lot of people have a weird fetish for the Omega Verse, and are fairly desperate for any live action content with it. Look at how much people like PitBabe, an objectively awful show.

Isnt She too old to be a boy band super groupie lmao i get it he sang a song and saved your life as a kid but…
You're a guy, so are you a fan of any sports team? I know a lot of men who have their favorite team's merchandise all over their house. They have their favorite team member's jersey, they have parties at their house to watch their team play, they dress up and paint their face and buy very expensive tickets to go to the game. They know their win/lose ratio and all sorts of stats. These are grown adults in their 30s, 40s, 50s.

Think of adult kpop fans like that. There's a range, from casual fans, to more obsessive ones. Yes, it can get too extreme like the saesangs in this how. But it can also just be a hobby, same as anything else.

Title To My Shore Spoiler
I just had time to catch up, and as always this show stresses me out. The comments have already discussed most topics better than I could, especially about the ending of episode 12, with Xiao bringing in Shulang's mentor behind his back. I was pisssssed at first. After all this, yet another deception?? But I read that this is Xiao's way to get Shulang back into the industry that he likes, and that makes sense. Xiao doesn't know how to do literally anything in a healthy way, lol. This is as close as he can get to a nice gesture I suppose.

I'm a little confused about the data that Shulang copied, someone said that Xiao can go to prison because of it. But why? Wouldn't Shulang be the one in trouble? (sorry if this is obvious, I'm not super focused on the corporate espionage. the mental anguish is taking up all my attention) I felt like poor Shulang is slipping, it was so obvious that Xiao knew what his plan was and let him do it. They're both in bad states, though I still don't feel any sympathy for Xiao. I mean, I get it. The trauma and such, but still. He's not really that likeable currently. It's a credit to the show that I keep watching, this isn't my normal vibe at all. Look at my username. But it's too good, I have to see it through.

On a side note, I was impressed by how many people in Shulang's life have been willing to step up and help him. The lady that he saved his ex from, and his new boss. They saw Xiao and clocked him as a madman right away and offered to step in.

Title Burnout Syndrome Spoiler
I like how the show presents Pheem as the "nice guy" and Koh as the "bad guy" but it's only surface level. At first I really didn't like Koh, but now he has dimension and is easily the most interesting and multifaceted character in the show imo. Pheem however, has become the bad guy in my mind. Or, if not straight up bad, at least not fully good either. He's not what he seems. He's deeply competitive, and I think bitter that his childhood friend got more successful than he did.

Also, I agree that fixed pairings are silly, but in this case I'm not rooting for DewGun at all. Maybe in the first couple episodes, but not anymore. Everyone has great chemistry, the cast in this is amazing. But Pheem and Jira are doomed as a couple. Pheem is a little too eager to sleep with Jira, and Jira seems to be using Pheem to distract himself from his growing attraction to Koh. Honestly, I feel like Dew-stans are just talking about his looks and not really paying attention to the plot.
On Burnout Syndrome Dec 18, 2025
Right now Gun's character feels relatable to me. His new job is a little weird and his boss is eccentric. His personal life is being impacted and he's struggling to set boundaries. He's also trying to pursue his passion for art at the same time. Basically being pulled in many different directions.
I was worried that he'd cry and cry and be pathetic like in Theory of Love (which I didn't like, sorry to all the fans) and hopefully that doesn't happen. Yes, I know we ended in the shower and maybe it'll be a mirror image of the ToL scene but I have hope that it won't. Please less crying, I'm begging the BL gods.
Off's character has grown on me significantly since the first couple episodes. He's not a good person, but he's... interesting. I can work with interesting.
On Dynamite Kiss Dec 18, 2025
People are taking this way too seriously, lol. I'm honestly wondering what people thought this drama would be like, it's been cringy since episode one. I understand if that's not everyone's taste, and that's cool. But some of us are here for something light and silly. I'm here for the ML hiding behind a watering can. I'm here for drunken bonding and evil sibling plotting.
Maybe it's not the best thing I've ever watched, but it's checking the right boxes. I'm not going to fuss about how the 2FL is being a bit pushy (she's a chaebol daughter, she's used to getting what she wants) and I'm going to let the 2ML slide, even though he makes me roll my eyes. This isn't the sort of show I'm going to dissect and analyze.

Title The Love Never Sets Spoiler
Partway through episode 10 and I think this is where I drop it sadly. The story has gotten nowhere, I think we've gone backwards actually. But my breaking point is the mom. She abandoned her son to an abusive father, started a new family, went no contact, and now she walks back into Ice's life by accident. Right? I mean last episode she happened to come to that relative's house and see them making the film, it wasn't like she looked for her son.
So in this episode she helps make some food that Ice used to like, cries, and gives him a hug. Then she revels that she never spent the money Ice was sending her. What?? He was sending her money even after she ran away to start a new life? Now she's like "I didn't spend your money" like it's some amazing accomplishment. Then she cries more and he forgives her because... I literally have no idea.
They shouldn't have had this story arc. But I suppose they had to do something because Saint is still being the biggest coward possible. I made excuses for him for 10 episodes but I'm done.

You know, I've been so mad and hating on Xiao this whole show, but by episode 10 I'm lowkey respecting the writers for not backing down with his character. He's totally crazy and irredeemable. Every time he had a chance to become a better person he doubled down on being evil. Yes, I'd like a redemption arc, but I barely care anymore. I feel like Shulang at this point, given up. It's been a long time since I genuinely didn't want the leads to get together and now I'm watching two shows where I feel like that. (Burnout Syndrome)
A while ago there was a comment about this sort of drama, that it's not about a happy ending or if the toxic character deserves the "good" character. I hate it and love it at the same time. Which is pretty much the point, isn't it?

I just watched the trailer and it's a very hard no for me. There's a clip where they're kids and the boy feeds the little girl a strawberry, and then it cuts to them grown up, the ML feeding the FL a strawberry. Then it cuts and she calls him brother. This is... so insanely creepy to make into a romance.
