The chemistry is amazing. I'm holding my breath when the leads interact. Even though I'm a bit concerned at how they'll end up together considering one is already in a relationship, I'm totally hyped about seeing what happens.

So it's set in the 1940s? I guess I thought that those were going to be flashbacks, and that the main show would be in present day.

You could just respond without being insulting, but okay. How do we know Ice was most vulnerable? We only saw a couple seconds of flashbacks and Ice is just chilling playing guitar. How do we know he thought he had to put up with Warm? He didn't seem to want to date him at all, much less put up with him. How did you come up with this whole backstory about Warm having low self esteem?
None of it is in the show, you're filling in plot holes with head cannon.

I'm confused, maybe they need to update the description or something? "After a dramatic first encounter, photographer Peach becomes an amateur life coach to wealthy businessman Thee."
That's not what's happening tho, Peach isn't his life coach... Thee is already romantically perusing Peach or am I crazy? Anyway, other than that it's fine. I'm not really hooked yet, but it's just the first episode.

Literally yes. It's a silly show that doesn't make much sense, but somehow it works for me.

Is it just me or is the show hinting at Jet and his body guard becoming a couple? There's some tension there.

This whole show I never understood why Ice and Warm were even dating, they didn't seem to get along at all. Ice acted uncomfortable and scared anytime he was around Warm, and Warm barely seemed to care about Ice except to pop up every once in a while and be jealous. Then after they broke up, suddenly we get some flashbacks that I guess are supposed to make the viewer understand the connection they had but it didn't work at all.
When Ice was hesitant to get into a relationship because of what happened to him in the past, Warm said "everyone goes through stuff." Which is so dismissive and insulting. Also, Ice literally caught Warm cheating on him and basically shrugged it off and said he didn't really care.
I keep trying to make sense of it, but the reality is I think it's just bad writing.

Fyi, their acting is MUCH better in this show, compared to Pitbabe. They've really improved a lot.

I mean, I like this better than My Stubborn or Your Sky. We agree on that. But the reasons are different, they're such different types of shows. It's not that the acting is bad, it's that it's missing the emotion I'm looking for. When the couples in this show are together I don't feel any spark. Not with either couple. I'm especially tired of the second couple, nothing has happened with them in five episodes. It's just my opinion though.

This has such a high rating that I was expecting a lot more. I just finished episode five and it's just okay. I don't really think any of the couples have good chemistry. The plot isn't as interesting as I thought it would be from the description. It's not bad, I mean I've seen way worse. But it's not holding my interest.

So they're just going to live in a painting forever? I can't even put words to how stupid that is.

Did you watch Spare Me Your Mercy? It's pretty dark, and the romance aspect is very very minor compared to the overall plot. And Not Me.

I don't hate this as much as a lot of people, but this last episode was badly done. Going into memories became... time travel?? It's still watchable imo, unlike My Golden Blood, which was so cringe it made me want to crawl out of my own skin.

I've noticed them in other shows, but they seemed a little more natural I guess. I hadn't thought that they might be required to insert these references, like self advertising almost? Hopefully you're right and they chill out with it, or at least figure a better way to include them.

Mixed feelings about episode one. I like the leads, and I think their acting is carrying everything else. Ja and Tae are great.
IMO, he dialog that the supporting characters are given is pretty cringe, and I really dislike the way they're referencing other BLs so much. They're trying to be meta or maybe it's some form of fan service? I really don't get it. At least if you're going to reference another show, don't do it twice in the first episode! Wait until we've established the characters of the show we're actually watching. Rant over, sorry.
Anyway, I'm going to give it a chance, and fingers crossed that they treat the serious topics with the right tone. Also, please less singing/guitar playing. I swear, I thought we were past this, LOL.

I can suspend my disbelieve to a certain extent, sure. But that scene was so over the top with honey it got ridiculous, in my opinion. It overshadowed any emotions or intimacy. I kept wondering how much those actors had to eat, lol. Anyway, if you didn't like the scene in TNP that's fine. I'm not sure I'd agree that it's *objectively* average though. At least not compared to other BL love scenes. Even the music choice was better than most.

I know people liked it, but the honey scene in Top Form was so awful that it was a big reason I stopped watching the show. Who thinks that much honey is sexy? It's so sticky and messy (in a bad way) and omg never use it as lube. Jeez. Of course, this is my opinion, and overall I felt the show had fairly bad acting, so that was just one more strike against it.
The scene in TNP was miles and oceans better. In every way.

Just wanted to say I've been loving this show so much. At first I thought it might be a little more depressing than what I was looking for, but it manages to blend serious and lighthearted very well. Slowly they're giving us backstories, just enough but not to the point that I feel like the plot is sidetracked. I mean, at first I didn't care about the strawberry farmer guy at all, but now I'm rooting for him. I also really like the contrast between city life and small town life. Anyway, looking forward to the next episode.
