I can tell you with 100% certainty that he got a nose job. That's the first thing I notice. It doesn't make him any less attractive though.

I honestly don't think he got his eyes done because they're the same shape they've always been. However, he used to have a noticeable double-eyelid on one of them, whereas now he doesn't, so he could've done something to make his eyelids more symmetrical? Idk. I've also seen natural double eyelids become monolids as Koreans age, so it could just be that.

However, I can also tell you with 100% certainty that his lips are natural in their fullness. He hasn't gotten any lip fillers. What a lucky guy he is for that.

Blankets of clouds hung over the small inlet, stretching past the bordering mountains and into the vast ocean.

A figure dressed in thick, cream-white robes advanced toward the waterfront, admiring the playful spontaneity of the swells. The ocean had nothing holding it back, no burdens or responsibilities. Waves simultaneously crashed against the rocks and gently lapped at the shoreline, yet he found it peaceful. To him, the water symbolized freedom without consequences.

Hoofbeats thundered on the wet sand, disrupting the quiet calm of waves lapping against the shore. Di Feisheng and Fang Duobing spurred their horses on and raced with anticipation, hope rising in their chests. It might not be too late after all. Their eyes scoured the area with a hungry determinedness.

The lone figure stood on the beach, gazing out into the sea. The dots on his ear had long disappeared, and his inner force swirled inside his body with a renewed vigour, no longer tainted by the poison. The breeze caressed his fur-lined collar and sent wisps of hair floating all around his face. He thought back to the events of the past few months. He had answered questions long overdue, avenged those who were wronged, and achieved closure for himself and others. He had done all he set out to do. And he had finally made his peace— save for one thing.

The two horses whinnied as they came to a halt. Their riders quickly dismounted and took a few hurried steps forward, regarding their friend’s familiar form in shock. Long-overdue relief filled their eyes, threatening to spill over.

The man slowly turned around and smiled, regarding his old friends’ faces with fondness. “What took you two so long?”

Di Feisheng and Fang Doubing gazed back at him with a mixture of heartache and gratefulness. After months of searching, the wait was over. His mere presence alleviated their worries and gave solace to their weary souls.

“You’re alive,” Fang Duobing breathed, eyes brimming with warm tears.

“Li Xiangyi, you—” Di Feisheng began.

“Who? Make it clear,” the man chuckled. “Li Xiangyi is dead. But this Li Lianhua fellow seems to have been given a second chance at life. I wonder if you two would like to accompany him on his journey?”

Li Lianhua’s eyes crinkled in a smile that lit up his whole face. He took a deep breath in, tasting the salty air, and sighed contentedly. He would never again return to Sigu Sect, or take a stroll through the palace courtyards, but he didn’t mind. His footsteps carried him toward his two companions…

…and to the place he truly belonged.

If anybody feels sad after watching the special 5 minute end of this drama, you can read my hopeful interpretation of it below:

Even if they did find him (which I think they did, because their eyes held a look of relief), it doesn't change the fact that he's dying from the Bicha poison.... so I still found the final scene depressing. That is, unless Di Feisheng miraculously found another Styx flower.

When I said "she's only fated to be with one of them," I meant that only one of the guys is endgame lol - but friendship is also a big part of this drama, even if one of the "friends" has unrequited love. I really hope they keep S2 the same length and don't cut a bunch of episodes as was rumoured... because I really wanna see it all play out the way it was intended to.

I wanna watch this but like... not if I'm gonna bawl my eyes out. Is there anyone who got through this thing without crying a river of tears?

It's about 4 guys being eventually INTERESTED in one girl, but she has different relationships with all of them. She's only fated to be with ONE of them, but that isn't revealed in the very beginning so you can ship her with whoever you like. There's definitely some jealousy between the male leads. The drama isn't just about romance though; it's also about friendship, family, tension between countries/kingdoms, and class differences. There is some fantasy and royalty, and also some poison in there too lol

If you love love Deng Wei, then you should definitely watch this drama. He gets a lot of screen time and he's a sweetheart. If you don't want to see him get hurt, then maybe this isn't the drama for you. But if you want to see him fight for the one he loves and overcome adversity, then watch it.

Keep in mind this drama has a season 2 coming out this year, so when you watch the end, just know it's not the end. I'm personally going to watch S2 so I can see Deng Wei be a badass and get back at those who hurt him.

I just finished episode 13. I think that because Seonjae's watch activated while he was in the water, it transported his soul to the future. That means that the current Seonjae with the good memories of Im Sol and meeting her with the yellow umbrella is now living in future Seonjae's body. How does Seonjae have a future? Because Im Sol went back and made it so that they never met, and he never died. Either way, I have hope that future Seonjae will remember (or eventually remember) some of the moments he had with Im Sol in other lifetimes. It wouldn't be fair for her to remember it all alone. Too painful.

I have a hypothesis that I hope is right:

The english name isn't the actual name of the drama. The original Korean name is "Carry Seonjae and Run" or "Kidnap Seonjae and Run" (선재 업고 튀어 seonjae eobgo twieo) which is just hilarious to me and fits the drama much better than "Lovely Runner". Because that's the slogan of Seonjae's fanclub and what his fans joke about. Im Sol was wearing a headband that said that when they first met on the bridge after the concert.

I love how they didn't drag this drama on unnecessarily.

My guess is that his power isn't as simple as bringing something back from the past. He can bring anything back for anyone, but the key is that he can only go to the most recent moment between the person and the thing. So when he went back for the ball, he found it where it was before he lost it. When he went back for his dad, his powers took him to Da Hae's school, where there was the most recent interaction between Gwi Ju and Da Hae. It didn't matter whose past or whose future it was.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. She said she saw his funeral, but no body. That means he could still be alive.

That's why I think that Gwi ju might not actually die. His mother only saw a funeral, not a body, which means he could've been trapped in the past or something, not dead. We can't assume when we only know half of the story

Lol I don't know what they were thinking because this show had me hooked from episode 1

RIGHT?! I think it's so amazing how they tie the plot all together. And it is NOT easy- rather complicated in fact- trying to keep all the timelines straight when he travels back in time (what has happened for Da Hae and what is yet to happen for him)

Haha I guess we don't typically see rich men doing chores and cooking in kdramas. Usually the rich husbands are doing business stuff xD that could be why

Haha that's the beauty about it- human relationships are so complicated- they're rarely ever straightforward- and this drama represents that perfectly
