Ok I just translated it and the Korean name of "My Lovely Liar" is "소용없어 거짓말" which literally means "It's No Use Lying" (dunno why they didn't just go with this, since it's the same number of syllables and makes more sense)
"My Lovely Boxer" is "순정복서" which literally means "Pure Boxer" (순정 meaning sweet/genuine/pure) so I can kinda see where they got "lovely" from.
In conclusion, the two dramas have nothing to do with each other. Whoever decided the english titles of the dramas though, on the other hand, seem to have had similar inspiration LOL

I haven't started the drama yet because I'm waiting for more episodes to be released but I (19yrs) can confirm that the kids story got me interested in the drama. I saw some posters and scenes with KBS and GYJ in them and also read the plot summary and I was like THIS sounds good.
