Somehow I get the feeling that the psychopath son is Jerry. It was mentioned that the son is a bit younger and…
But Jerry has a sister, and poisoned PCH to pay for her college tuition.

Yeah... I still think PCH is behind everything, but instead of him being BM, it was always his goal to overpower him.

That's what I am hopping for. I want the Big Mouse to be an unpredictable plot twist.
Then you don't want the drama to make sense. If it's unpredictable, that means there were no signs or clues that led to the reveal, and that would mean the writers made us question everybody for absolutely no reason. I want it to be executed well, but I also want it to make sense in the end.

is there any romance
Yes and no. The leads are married and love each other very much. We see flashbacks of how the met, started dating, etc. And everything they do is for the sake of each other. Lots of hugs and very raw moments between them. They are separated the majority of the time, but those who went into this thinking they would never have scenes together were surprised by how many they do have. I think there is enough romance to keep someone who wants to see it happy, but not so much that someone who hates romance would be offended.

Girl... that was not the original Little Women movie. It is great, but definitely not the first.

My theory is that PCH is an unreliable narrator, so everything we hear him say in voice-over could or could not be true. When we see him get a parcel of tarot cards, I believe we're supposed to think they are to learn and examine so he'll know what BM means when he sends them. However, I don't think we know what the tarot card situation is really all about yet. We'll see.

Death isn't the only reason people get scared. Why are people afraid of shots? How about blood or spiders? I assume getting in a car crash, being hung, or getting poisoned are all things that are scary with or without the fear of dying from them. Pain sucks, and he definitely feels that.

I appreciate you keeping an open mind though!

And that’s why I said I understand if it’s your opinion, but that it isn’t a good general argument.

I think we’re both on the same page.

That’s a part of the storyline. We saw him survive a horrific car accident, being hung, and having a multitude of murder attempts diverted. The room leader even told him that if he tried to kill himself, it would just end in a deformity. If you knew you wouldn’t die young, you’d never have to worry that the heart attack you have or the health problems you face are going to kill you. They may be unpleasant, but they won’t be deadly. PCH knows he isn’t going to die. That’s why he said, “Of course I didn’t die” after his car accident in episode one. People seem to be missing this key point of the plot. I don’t get it…

Doesn't it all depend on how it's executed? I understand how one might think unreliable narration is a cop out,…
If Shutter Island or Mouse were the first forms of entertainment to make the lead character a villain or to use an unreliable narrator, I could see this argument. However, I'm positive there were people who watched Mouse and said the exact same thing you're saying about Big Mouth right now. Unreliable narration has been a thing in tv and film since as far back as the 1940's, and there are books/stories from all the way back in 20-30 B.C.

As for dramas, Mouse wasn't the first. Strangers from Hell was released in 2019. Beyond Evil was also released in 2021. The Light In Your Eyes is from 2018. Emergency Couple is from all the way back in 2014. And those are just the ones I know of.

If you are personally tired of that plot twist, I completely understand and respect that. But this can't be used as a general argument for why it shouldn't happen since this idea was "played out" long before we were even alive.

I don’t really have an opinion as to who Big Mouse could be, because atp literally anyone is an option, but…
Doesn't it all depend on how it's executed? I understand how one might think unreliable narration is a cop out, but that's only true if there weren't obvious clues that this was their plan all along. In the case of Big Mouth, there has been tons of evidence to support this.

BM turning out to be a character that gets a total of 3 minutes (or less) of screen time per episode is the real cop out. In that case, you have nothing to explain or justify, because most of their actions are done off screen. You can weave together a story in 6 seconds that makes them guilty and the audience just has to accept that. This would be the case for every character except maybe the mayor, Gong Jihoon, Miho, and PCH. Anyone else would be anti-climactic because nobody really cares that much about the other characters, and they aren't on screen long enough to track their actions and make sure everything makes sense or adds up. That is what you call a cop-out, not a storyline you don't like the idea of or think is overplayed.

I really don't know why this drama recap is not in detail in dramabeans... Really disappointed ☹️
Dramabeans seems to have a problem with the show. I went there expecting to enjoy their recaps and they've actually been very cynical and borderline malicious at times.

He knows his fate is to live a long life (a large part of ep. 2 is dedicated to this), so all drinking that beverage would do is get him out of jail. Why would he take a drink from someone he was in a fight with who just got mysteriously bailed out of prison unless it was on purpose. Come on, now. It even shows him looking at the drink, then at Jerry, then at the drink before gulping the whole thing down. He knew.

Most of the comments points down as to why PCH is the big mouse. But I want to point out things that prove he…
None of what you said proves PCH isn't Big Mouse though.

With half the series left to go, the tarot card situation is far from fully explained. And you're taking PCH's word for everything. His intentions for using the camera, hating BM, and saying he won't end up like Jerry were all things he said in his narration to us. What if the narration is simply there to lead the audience astray? If PCH is BM, you really shouldn't believe a word he says.

I can't really argue with you about the flashback scenes about him being an orphan because we need more episodes/context to prove anyone right or wrong. However, I don't see why anyone would ignore the fact that he was at the police station for beating up 3 of his schoolmates, who were all covered in scrapes, blood, and bruises, while he was totally fine. He literally says their faces got like that on their own. What the heck? Why is that not important? The scene could have been all 3 of them without a scratch and it could've played out exactly the same, so why add that detail if it isn't important?

Just keep in mind that Big Mouth has never included an epilogue before the milk flashback. They had already introduced the fact that PCH was an orphan in a previous flashback earlier in the episode, so that's not why it's there. There is literally no other reason to create an epilogue for this scene unless it's important... which, on the surface, it is not. We're supposed to think he's a sweet kid who buys milk for all of his fellow orphans to grow big and strong, so you can rest assured that isn't the true story.

I loved Doctor Stranger. The ending and FL were a little questionable, but LJS was so good and on point that it…
Yeah, I think he needs to stay away from actresses who are too much younger than him because they make him uncomfortable. But he's also done a lot of dramas with women much older, so he should stay away from that as well. Someone his age would be ideal.

What kind of drama do you want him to do?
