I think it's worth watching! The first episode has turned a few people off because it's less thrilling than the rest, but the episodes after are nothing like it. By the end of ep. 2, everyone is hooked. It truly is one of the most thrilling, unique, and eye-catching dramas of the year.
It hits double digits when AoS not airing. We shall see this week. As long the storyline is interesting, the rating…
Alchemy of Souls airs on Saturday-Sunday at 9:10pm. Big Mouth airs on Friday-Saturday at 10:00pm. The runtime for each show is about 72 minutes, which means on Saturdays, AOS ends at 10:20pm and BM at 11:10pm. That means anyone watching AOS can still catch the majority of BM, so it shouldn't affect the ratings much.
I don't think Jerry puts the card in the bible. There is a scene where PCH crumbles the card up in his hand, and…
No, they mixed up the clips to confuse you. They never show Jerry taking the card out or putting it in, but the card Jerry has is in perfect condition and we see PCH crumble it up. If Jerry took the card, PCH wouldn't be able to destroy it. As for why PCH asks Jerry why he took the card, I think Jerry took the card from someone to deliver it to the bible. Once again, the preview is NOT what it seems. It never is.
For those saying Jerry is Big mouse then as per the preview we are going to see who Jerry is because clearly ep…
I don't think Jerry puts the card in the bible. There is a scene where PCH crumbles the card up in his hand, and when Jerry has it, it's in perfect condition. So that would mean Jerry puts the card IN the bible, making it look like he's BM... but he's not.
It is even more discouraging when they find the disney+ doesn't have it available in their region.
Let's just hope that doesn't happen, I guess. I don't like talking things up to the point of impossibility, so I'm just letting people know their opinions without hypothesizing worst case scenarios. We should just try to help people find a way to watch.
I followed all the production news as it was happening. There were official forms looking for job positions that had to include production dates, but when February rolled around, they were still filming. When they wrapped at the very end of April, a lot of cast members posted pictures of their final scenes and crew members shared even more.
On Disney+ with a VPN, or dramacool as a last resort.
Connecting to SK or Japan with NordVPN works for me, but it might be different for everyone depending on their actual location. I would recommend trying different countries and VPN's until you find one that works.
Never judge drama on rating cuz it's form korean people there are some dramas that did not get good rating in…
Ah, I just looked at how their ratings dropped off, and I wonder if it's because of Alchemy of Souls. Why Her got to 10% and then the day AOS premiered, it dropped to 8% and continued to see a downward trend after that. I don't see a drama expected to premiere on Friday or Saturday with the potential to knock them down, except maybe Blind. That is premiering the day of Big Mouth's finale, though... so I think I'm more worried for Blind's starting numbers than anything else.
I think that is almost always true for western shows that get renewed for 7 seasons/years. They start out with an actual culprit and when the show is extended, have to change their plans. However, a k-drama is only 16 episodes long and way, way easier to plan for.
In the case of Big Mouth, the show was completely pre-produced as well, which means the drama started filming in August of last year, and finished in May. They had that entire time to restructure anything in the scripts that didn't add up, and refilm anything that wasn't exactly right. Adding to that, filming was supposed to end in February, but lasted an extra 3 months. They all worked very hard for a long time on this project.
It doesn't appear as though this series was slapped together, so unless it starts to make absolutely no sense to anyone with obvious plot-holes everywhere, it's more likely that we are the stupid ones.
What if the statue of Mary in the chapel had a camera and that's how Big mouse is able to see Chang ho put messages…
What if PCH put the camera there to see who was dropping off the tarot cards?
There is absolutely no way that BM is putting the tarot cards in that bible himself. He would anonymously pay someone else to do it before he would ever risk being caught. That means PCH could have set this whole thing up to see who would do it, and I think it has to do with Jerry. If Jerry is the one putting the tarot cards in the bible, that means he doesn't believe PCH is really BM. Considering Jerry's unwavering faith and loyalty in his "boss" the whole time PCH has been there (demonstrated at the end of the last episode when everyone left his side except him), that would make Jerry highly suspicious, wouldn't it? What is his motive and where does his loyalty really lie?
I think PCH is BM, created the tarot card hoax to see if Jerry would take the bait, and unfortunately, he did. That would explain why he started choking Jerry when he woke up without his list, and all the weird faces Jerry has been making at him when he's torturing people and being very BM-esque.
This show has some very dumb moments that are painful to watch. The story is all over the place. The events are…
In all mystery thrillers, people start to say this at around the 5th or 6th episodes because it gets harder to follow. Clues start to stack up, you don't know everything yet, and it starts to feel like nonsense even if it isn't.
My theory since the very beginning was that PCH knows the audience is watching because he's the narrator of the drama, and if he's BM, he's the ultimate con artist who shouldn't be trusted. When I saw episode 6, I was so sad because it looked like they lost the plot... and then PCH looked into the camera and said we'd all been fooled and my faith (and theory) was restored... for now. I don't have all the details, but it all still makes sense to me and my original theory, so I don't agree that the writer moved from their best to worst. I just think you might need more context.
If you scroll to the bottom of this IG, you will see a lot of the stuff that was posted during production: https://www.instagram.com/bigmouth_kdrama/
