So this is bad? Dang the teaser looked interesting
True. But if it was just that, I would not mind it. In terms of characters, they also focus a lot more on the "supporting" characters than the main leads since these characters are the center of the murder mystery. I wanted more focus on the main leads, we know very little about them.

It’s not bad, but if you are looking for a story focused on the main leads or even the romance between them, then you might not want to invest so many hours watching this.
On Please Don't Date Him Jan 22, 2021
This is nothing amazing or anything but it has a different kind of plot and it is short which makes it watchable. I might have gotten tired of it if it had 16 episodes, but with 10 episodes it was an easy watch.

Also, it touches on some serious subjects about the online world and how technology should be used wisely.

its not Americanized... its just not in the typical kdrama style... most korean romantic movies( the newer ones)…
I have watched some great Korean movies in the past, but I am talking about the ones that are more like slice of life or business and that always have a sex scene, people being beaten up for no reason and such.

I dont like senseless violence that does nothing for the plot and that is just there. But I do enjoy watching crime/law, thriller, horror and stuff like that when the violence is there for a reason. Like, if its an horror movie or a movie about a serial killer, of course there will be violence, but it is there because it plays a big role in the story. You cant have a serial killer without several people dying.

But if the violence is like a short scene of a group of people beating someone up for money or something that is not even relevant to the plot, then it might as well not be there.

I dont know if you got my point. My explanation sounds a little confusing. XD

I am not saying all movies are the same, but I have definitely watched quite a few that were actually based on western movies.

Also, my personal preference is something that is between the realism in the movies and the fantasy world in kdramas. A drama that is too cliché and not realistic at all is not my cup of tea, but a drama that is trying so hard to be realistic that it throws some sex scenes here and there is also something I do not want to watch. I have at least twice picked a Korean movie to watch with my sister and had to fast forward both because at some point there was a sex scene that was a little more explicit than what you get in Kdramas. Nowhere in the synopsis or content rating it warned me something like that could happen. It was awkward to watch it with my sister and both movies were not even that good. So I basically dont watch Korean movies now, at least not with someone else.

I started straying away from western shows because they were filled with sex, violence and profanity to the point I could not even enjoy the story or relate to the characters. I like how kdramas are more conservative, independently of what is going on behind the curtains with all the sexual scandals and corruption in South Korea.

When I watch something I want it to be either entertaining or educational, when I get both in the same drama, then its the best. I didnt find the first episode of this drama to be either, but it might happen later on. I will wait for a few more episodes to air before I watch episode 2.

Yeah, movies do have this kind of vibe, but exactly because the Korean movie industry is mimicking a lot of the western ideas, which is why I rarely watch Korean movies and stick with dramas instead.

Maybe I will change my opinion later since I have only watched the first episode. The comment I wrote is only to share my first impression of the drama. I can only judge the drama in a fair way after I have watched the whole thing.
Replying to cloudy Jan 17, 2021
Please... the first episode is introduction merely. Setting the stage. Every drama needs a build up, and this…
Sure, 1 episode is not enough to judge a drama, which is why I will keep watching. I just was not impressed with the first episode compared to other dramas that managed to get me hooked since the start.

The format, in my opinion, makes it feel less like a kdrama and I am not a fan of it. I started watching Asian dramas because I lost interest in western series and this format, music choice and other small details make me feel like I am watching something straight from the US instead of South Korea.

I will make sure to come back here and let you know if I change my opinion while watching it. It would not be the first time I watch a drama that does not get me hooked at first but turns out pretty good later on. The opposite has also happened, a drama that starts well and then goes downhill.
On Lovestruck in the City Jan 17, 2021
I watched the first episode and to be honest, I am not impressed. It feels like they were trying to be different and stand out from the crowd by going for this documentary kind of format that is very Americanized.

Ji Chang Wook really needs to pick better scripts because the last dramas he has chosen were either average or bad.

I will keep watching since the episodes are shorter and I hate leaving things unfinished, but I have very low expectations for this one.

No, there aren’t. You probably got this drama confused with Mengfei Comes Across. This one is on youtube but…
Yeah, this has been sitting on my list for 2 years. With so many dramas coming out, I doubt someone will pick this one up.

I am studying Mandarin, so in a few years if this still isnt subbed I might sub it myself.

Title So It's You
Ikr? I just finished watching My Supernatural Power and this actress is even thinner than the one that played…
I was not talking about the Korean version. I am talking about the actress that will play in this version. I just recently finished a drama where she was the lead and she is super thin and has no muscle at all. So she does not fit the role.

I am not body shaming or anything, its just that you don't pick a cat to play the role of a dog. In this case, picking a petite girl to play the role of a weightlifter.

In the Korean version she was also thin but like you said, she gained some weight for the role, plus she is taller so it looked a little more convincing.

please don't post links like this. This prevents people from knowing/supporting the actual subbers. They are STEALING…
They dont offer the option to download but that does not stop people who know their way around the internet and coding.

If it was not for these "stupid" subbers, you stupid people would not be able to watch anything. If you rely so much on these sites to watch dramas, you better get yourself a chair because if at some point they cannot get the subs from the source, you can wait all you want but will only be left with very well deserved disappointment.
On Kadee Rak Kham Pop Jan 15, 2021
The initial idea was good but that was it.

To keep it short, basically the main leads travel to the past to become the supporting characters in the supporting characters’ story. Sounds confusing, right? Well, but that is what happens. The story is centered around the "supporting characters" that appear in 3rd to 5th place in the cast.

Nowadays it is pretty much impossible to protect something you share online. Would it be better for them to allow only a small group of people to have access to the videos? But then you and I would not be able to enjoy these dramas for free and it still would not completely prevent someone from joining this small group of people and download and re-upload the videos.

So your explanation makes as much sense as people who say "if she did not want to be raped she would not be going out at night alone".

If you want to watch on these sites, sure go ahead, I do so too when there is no alternative. But dont share these sites over the original subbers sites. You have no idea how much work it takes to sub a single episode and this leaves the subbers with no motivation to keep subbing.

Im planning to watch it and i think it looks good on him.. Not everyone can pull off that hairstyle
Oh, so you ended up watching it. Good thing you did not let the haircut come between you and this drama or you would have missed a really good one.

The episodes are longer so they might not reduce a lot.
Thank you. I guess you have come across my comments too. Lately a lot of people have said the same thing.

I knew I watched a lot of dramas, but I guess I watch way too many. XD

Title Forever Love Spoiler
It was good but the ending sucks for me. It kinda felt rushed and a lot has been skipped. From the 2nd lead's…
There were other characters missing. I dont remember seeing her Senior either and have no idea what happened to him. But the story was about the main leads after all so anyone that is not in their lives anymore would not be present at the wedding.

I am satisfied with the way things ended. I would not mind 1 or 2 more episodes but overall this was one of the best Chinese school-to adult life dramas I have watched.

Title Forever Love
I have watched several Chinese dramas with a similar plot and I am not saying this is the best out of them all (it probably is tho XD) but this definitely is a hard one to beat when it comes to the relationship between the main leads. Their relationship developed in such a natural and realistic way while also not taking the entire drama for them to get together. The pace was just perfect.

And about them as a couple, lets just say I always had this silly smile during their scenes. They are one of the cutest couples I have seen on drama land. Their love for each other is so visible that I suspect the actors were actually in love while filming this. The way they trust and rely on each other is just awesome.

Honestly, I have only good things to say about this drama.

I actually havent started it yet. I have quite a few dramas on my hands right now and this one has only a few episodes subbed so I will probably wait a little longer before starting it.
