You give 2 stars because of ZLY but most of the budget went to her alone..... I wonder why she needs so much money.
I did not know this was the same director from Princess Agents until you mentioned it. The thing is, I actually liked PA except for a few details and the open ending that yells for a second season that never came.
This one is a different story. I have watched 14 episodes over the past month and with a lot of skipping. I just feel bored. The cast is great but the plot and the whole going around with a bunch of new characters showing up that add nothing or little to the plot is really making me feel like dropping it. If you have finished the drama, what is your opinion? Does it get better?
he was about to divorce - his wife cheated on him .she already break up with her bf .did u watch?
First, its not just a drama because people actually do this in real life.
Second, I have no idea who you are talking about when you say "such people". If you mean people without morals, then yeah, of course, if they cared about anyone’s opinion they would not be acting that way.
And lastly, I left a comment, not a review, exactly because I did not watch the drama and based my comment on what other people were saying, the synopsis, the trailer and even the trends I am seeing in the jdrama world in the recent years. So some of my points could be inaccurate, for example, I did not know his wife got into a coma. But still, my guess is he was already involved with the female lead before that happened and probably even had sex with her so it would still cross that morally wrong line for me. Correct me if I am wrong and they never got physically involved until after the divorce.
he was about to divorce - his wife cheated on him .she already break up with her bf .did u watch?
I left this comment over 2 years ago but I am pretty sure I did not watch it. From the info I had at the time, I thought they got involved with each other while she was still engaged and him married.
But from what you said it seems he was still married when he got involved with her. It does not matter if his wife cheated on him, as long as he is still married he should not get involved with someone else. He should wait for the divorce to be finalized first.
Anyway, I dont think this would be my kind of drama. I like relationships to be simple and clean with as little people involved as possible.
He meets his wife When she came back from study abroad, on wedding day she found out she’s pregnant with her…
Near the end of the drama and it doesnt really feel like they are together. Their interactions did not change much from when they were just friends. In terms of romance, this drama was really disappointing.
Yeah poor Zhan Yu!! I got attached so it was too late for me XD TT
Yeah. He was on the wrong path but he had a hard life and the fact he died in such a cruel way right when he was taking the steps to redeem himself made it even harder to accept his death.
This was a rollercoaster of emotions. There is romance, there is crime investigation, there is tragedy, there is mystery, there is so much but all put together very well. I cried, I smiled and I questioned things.
A little warning tho, and this is not really a spoiler since its written in the synopsis and the drama starts with the investigation of his murder, but try not to get too attached to Zhan Yu.
We see a lot of him before the actual murder and it is hard not to feel something for his character. I knew he was going to die but it was still hard to digest once it happened and I found myself crying every time people were thinking or talking about him. So, if you are usually the type to cry, have some tissues next to you while watching this. Trust me, they will come in handy. T T
Well, I found out about this drama after watching a YouTube video with a wedding scene of the male lead with Yao…
So yeah, there is a little romance but not too much. The woman he marries is even considered a supporting character according to MDL. She is in the 4th position in the cast.
But the worst part is that they do end up liking each other but in the last episode a lot of characters die. She is shot in the back and dies in his arms and the same day he also dies in the arms of his brother. Basically, only the brother has a chance at happiness with the woman that appears in the 3rd position in the cast.
With that said, if you are looking for romance, you might want to skip this one since there is so little and there is no happy ending, which was no surprise since this is a war drama. :(
Well, I found out about this drama after watching a YouTube video with a wedding scene of the male lead with Yao…
Hum, I just finished watching. There is in fact some romance but not much and the ending is tragic, so you might want to reconsider watching it. If you want, I can give you spoilers.
I want to watch this but it looks like their is no romance :(
Well, I found out about this drama after watching a YouTube video with a wedding scene of the male lead with Yao Bi Jun and the title was something about her being forced to marry him but then they fall in love with each other.
So, there should be some romance, even if it is only slight romance.
A very funny show. It would have been a 10 for me if not for the amnesia plot and the mistreatment of animals…
I agree with all you said but I think I might have missed something due to my frustration. When did an animal get mistreated? Was it the pigglet? I dont remember watching anything like that.
The first 2/3 of the drama were ok. But the last 10-12 eps were just unnecessary. It was a dumb cliché fest that I could have done without and that made me frustrated and angry at both the writers and characters.
The only redeeming part was the extra chapter in the last episode.
So this is bad? Dang the teaser looked interesting
True. But if it was just that, I would not mind it. In terms of characters, they also focus a lot more on the "supporting" characters than the main leads since these characters are the center of the murder mystery. I wanted more focus on the main leads, we know very little about them.
So this is bad? Dang the teaser looked interesting
It’s not bad, but if you are looking for a story focused on the main leads or even the romance between them, then you might not want to invest so many hours watching this.
This is nothing amazing or anything but it has a different kind of plot and it is short which makes it watchable. I might have gotten tired of it if it had 16 episodes, but with 10 episodes it was an easy watch.
Also, it touches on some serious subjects about the online world and how technology should be used wisely.
its not Americanized... its just not in the typical kdrama style... most korean romantic movies( the newer ones)…
I have watched some great Korean movies in the past, but I am talking about the ones that are more like slice of life or business and that always have a sex scene, people being beaten up for no reason and such.
I dont like senseless violence that does nothing for the plot and that is just there. But I do enjoy watching crime/law, thriller, horror and stuff like that when the violence is there for a reason. Like, if its an horror movie or a movie about a serial killer, of course there will be violence, but it is there because it plays a big role in the story. You cant have a serial killer without several people dying.
But if the violence is like a short scene of a group of people beating someone up for money or something that is not even relevant to the plot, then it might as well not be there.
I dont know if you got my point. My explanation sounds a little confusing. XD
its not Americanized... its just not in the typical kdrama style... most korean romantic movies( the newer ones)…
I am not saying all movies are the same, but I have definitely watched quite a few that were actually based on western movies.
Also, my personal preference is something that is between the realism in the movies and the fantasy world in kdramas. A drama that is too cliché and not realistic at all is not my cup of tea, but a drama that is trying so hard to be realistic that it throws some sex scenes here and there is also something I do not want to watch. I have at least twice picked a Korean movie to watch with my sister and had to fast forward both because at some point there was a sex scene that was a little more explicit than what you get in Kdramas. Nowhere in the synopsis or content rating it warned me something like that could happen. It was awkward to watch it with my sister and both movies were not even that good. So I basically dont watch Korean movies now, at least not with someone else.
I started straying away from western shows because they were filled with sex, violence and profanity to the point I could not even enjoy the story or relate to the characters. I like how kdramas are more conservative, independently of what is going on behind the curtains with all the sexual scandals and corruption in South Korea.
When I watch something I want it to be either entertaining or educational, when I get both in the same drama, then its the best. I didnt find the first episode of this drama to be either, but it might happen later on. I will wait for a few more episodes to air before I watch episode 2.
its not Americanized... its just not in the typical kdrama style... most korean romantic movies( the newer ones)…
Yeah, movies do have this kind of vibe, but exactly because the Korean movie industry is mimicking a lot of the western ideas, which is why I rarely watch Korean movies and stick with dramas instead.
Maybe I will change my opinion later since I have only watched the first episode. The comment I wrote is only to share my first impression of the drama. I can only judge the drama in a fair way after I have watched the whole thing.
Please... the first episode is introduction merely. Setting the stage. Every drama needs a build up, and this…
Sure, 1 episode is not enough to judge a drama, which is why I will keep watching. I just was not impressed with the first episode compared to other dramas that managed to get me hooked since the start.
The format, in my opinion, makes it feel less like a kdrama and I am not a fan of it. I started watching Asian dramas because I lost interest in western series and this format, music choice and other small details make me feel like I am watching something straight from the US instead of South Korea.
I will make sure to come back here and let you know if I change my opinion while watching it. It would not be the first time I watch a drama that does not get me hooked at first but turns out pretty good later on. The opposite has also happened, a drama that starts well and then goes downhill.
I watched the first episode and to be honest, I am not impressed. It feels like they were trying to be different and stand out from the crowd by going for this documentary kind of format that is very Americanized.
Ji Chang Wook really needs to pick better scripts because the last dramas he has chosen were either average or bad.
I will keep watching since the episodes are shorter and I hate leaving things unfinished, but I have very low expectations for this one.

I am studying Mandarin, so in a few years if this still isnt subbed I might sub it myself.
