I have been watching Asian dramas since 2010 and cdramas since 2015-2016 so I can guess some things from experience, not like I keep up with the trends. ^^'

I have not started watching this one yet but I read about it being cut in half. Chinese dramas being censored or heavily edited out is something I am familiar with but this one seems to have been cut down to the point of almost half of it being wasted.

Some actors might have spent hours filming and now they will not even show up on screen since their character was removed from the plot. That is sad, I would be so disappointed ifthat happened to me.

I thought so. Chinese dramas 10 years ago were a bit behind other Asian dramas. They looked more dated. I re-watched a drama from 2019 and it felt more dated than I remembered it to be. Felt more like it was filmed in 2013-2015. ^^'

Nowadays high budget Chinese dramas look a lot better. They put a lot of effort into editing, CGI, ost, and so on.

I know some dramas, like this one, also get set aside for many years until they are finally released and by the time they air they are already dated.

Yes, there are a lot of suspicious people around but I hope the director is not the one getting people around the FL killed because that would be boring. There are other characters that would fit the role of the killer/person hiring the killer much better. I will be really disappointed if it turns out to be the director and this guy that dated the ML's sister. Not everything needs to be connected.

The guy responsible for killing the ML's sister also being the one killing people around the FL would be very cliché.
I guess maybe while investigating the ML will find out that the director has something to do with his sister's death but I hope there is a separate killer/mastermind behind the deaths around the FL.

P.S. - Your other theory also makes sense. The FL has a bad habit of not defending herself and letting people misunderstand her. Her guilt would also be enough to make her confess to something she did not do if she is convinced that her now dead FOR REAL ex was the one behind all the deaths around her.

Yes, he is related to the Auction house owner and she is behind the tragic ending the FL's parents had but I do not want to believe she is the one calling the shots and getting the people around the FL killed because that would be really boring.

The not so dead ex, the best friend, even the bar owner are better options. The most exciting one would be for the FL to be a real psycho and be the one behind it all, it would be a great plot-twist, but since I doubt that is happening, I hope they at least choose someone that makes sense and that will not disappoint us.

I know this might sound a bit out there but I also predicted Jun Beom was actually her ex a few weeks ago so I will try to guess now what happened too.

From the preview we see the FL is admitting to this murder and all the other murders even tho we know it was not her (unless she is an actual siren which I doubt because rarely do they make the main character the bad guy).

That leaves us with only 1 logical reason as to why she confessed to something she did not do...to protect someone else. The lights went out before everything happened, so that means there was a third person there. My guess is the one who killed Su Ho was Eun Hyeok. Although it is looking like Su Ho is responsible for all those deaths surrounding the FL...this has yet to be confirmed.

Eun Hyeok still feels very off to me, the way he looks at the FL, specially when other men are around, is not the way a friend looks at someone and not even the way a "normal" person in love looks at someone. He was conveniently always around the places and people who died. When he was being questioned by the police, not being able to pick up her calls was killing him on the inside. I think the FL might have had 2 if not more obsessive men in her life.

Eun Hyeok is one of if not the most important person to her, a friend she had her entire life so it makes sense she would want to protect him, specially if she has yet to realise the extent of his actions and thinks he only killed Su Ho by accident or to protect her.

I have read a lot of negative comments about it tho so I did not even add it to my plan to watch list. How is the romance?

This is supposed to be a remake of a kdrama from 2015 so I would not say early 2010s but definitely has that dated nostalgic vibe. This is probably about 10 years old, probably a bit less since I doubt they made a remake right away. Probably filmed around 2016-2017.

I think her female friend is a distraction. It seems like her, Eun Hyeok and Jun Beom are all left-handed or at least pretending to be. They are trying to throw us off with the left-handed thing.

The female lead did not say anything about her ex being left-handed so there is a chance the real Jun Beom was left-handed so her ex had to practice writing with his left hand.

Maybe episode 8 will give us some more answers...or leave us with more questions. ^^'

Yeah, that was my first thought in episode 5 or 6 when they mentioned something about him having a nurse and being recovering from something. The real Jun Beom died in Syria but somehow they declared her boyfriend as dead, when he recovered he no longer had his identity and by the time he got back to SK the FL might have already been dating the other dude which might have triggered him to start commiting the murders.

This was one of my earliest theories but since him being the killer was so obvious I was trying to look at other people like her friend, the Royal Auction owner or even the plot twist of it being her all along.

I still haven't watched episode 7, will watch it now and edit this comment if I have anything to add.

EDIT: Yup, although they are trying to make it look like it is about something as simple as revenge for the death of a friend that was like a brother to him...I still feel there is more to it. I am definitely leaning more towards him being her ex-boyfriend rather than the brother like friend.

Now there are 2 possibilites:
1 - He is a complete psycho and planed the whole thing from the moment he sent her that video.
OR
2 - He did try to kill himself by not taking cover during an attack and his friend saved him and died in his place and that not only gave him an opportunity to approach the FL as someone else but also made him develop a bit of hatred for her as in his sick mind she was the one to blame for his friend's death.

Let's see what is revealed in tomorrow's episode.

True. I forgot about that. Him being the boyfriend was a theory from before I watched that scene. But since the first boyfriend was the first one to die, he might still be connected to him somehow. Maybe he even got to know the FL through him.

The chairwoman is definitely not one of the good guys, she might be involved with the people the FL father owed money to or even be the one he owed money to. She gives that gangster boss vibes.

Jun Beom is either her first boyfriend that actually survived and got plastic surgery...which would explain him knowing her so well, being jealous of the boyfriends she got after him or he is at least in some way related to him. He definitely has some sort of motive. I am still trying to figure out if he is possessive of her or if he hates her and wants her to be unhappy and also go down for all the murders. (His smile when she got arrested was weird)

I think so too. There are many teenagers and women in their 20s watching dramas but from what I have seen on social media and even with people I am close to is that older women, even grandmas, are starting to catch the Asian fever.

I started watching dramas as a teenager (back in 2010) coming from me watching anime and reading manga since I was a kid (a natural progression for most of us) but now I am on my 30s and I mostly watch dramas, mainly Korean and Chinese. A few years ago I re-watched one with my mother (who is now 62) and since then she keeps asking for new dramas to watch. ^^'

She is currently crazy about Pursuit of Jade (so am I).

There have been so many 70s and 90s dramas lately. I prefer the 90s ones since I was born in 94, so they are more relatable to me.

I guess they realised the biggest chunk of drama watchers are "older" women and are trying to make stuff nostalgic for us to keep us interested. ^^'

This is one of the worst movies I ever watched, if I can even say I watched it because it feels like I diddn't.

The filming and editing feels like a kid who got his first ever camera is trying to do something he thinks is cool with all the moving around, cuts and stuff. The way this was filmed and edited alone is already bad but also the plot is a bunch of loose threads that are barely even tied together.

This has no substance, it is just a bunch of random scenes messily edited into one movie. It felt like watching an extended trailer (a bad one) or an edit of highlights of a series that you never watched so you lack the context to understand what is going on, who the characters on screen are and why they are saying or doing whatever they are saying or doing.

Idk how this was even approved by other people and even got to a streaming platform like Netflix (not that Netflix is any good but it is the biggest streaming platform). Everyone was either high on something or getting paid to look the other way. There is no way anyone else other than the people involved in creating this would think this is good.

True. It is very rare for the FL or ML to be the killer (has happened before but rare). But with so many sirens symbolism I think it is definitely possible. I mean, even the name of the drama hints at her being the killer. These could all be to keep us confused but I am not against the idea of her being the killer or a master manipulator who gets people to kill or die for her. It would make the drama more memorable.

I mean, there is so much sirens symbolism from the name of the drama to the brand of the wine bottles. These could be hints or red herrings, one of the two. ^^'

I agree but it would be a genius move by the writers if it turns out the FL is a "siren" and manipulates men easily. Then him believing and falling for her so quickly would make a lot of sense.

Or there is no culprit. The FL could be a "siren" and have made all those men willingly die for her. Maybe the woman was the only one who made her get her hands dirty. At this point anything is possible. ^^'

I honestly think she is NOT the killer but if she is, it is a genius move by the writers to make her this confusing to us because maybe that is exactly what she wants. I mean, a guy that on the first episode was so bent on her being the culprit is now professing her innocence like she is the best human being on Earth.

At this point I would not be surprised if all those guys actually comitted suicide for her, just like her parents. Maybe that is why there is so many siren related stuff, even the name of the drama. The FL is a siren that manipulates men into giving up even their own lives for her.

The friend, the CEO dude, the Royal Auction owner, any of them could be the culprit or just another person she manipulates. I like how we know so much already about her past and yet know nothing about her. ^^'
