This has some really serious plot issues. The first 10 episodes feel just like the beginning of the drama, introducing the characters, hinting at possible romantic relationships between some of them and then bam, the last 2 episodes come and that’s it. It was not that the ending was rushed, it did not feel like an ending at all. It was as if originally this was supposed to have a lot more episodes and then out of nowhere they were informed they had to cut it short and they just tried to wrap up a story that had barely started. There was a lot of potential wasted here. I don’t know exactly what caused it to be like this, but in the drama world this one fails to even meet the standards.
Bitter kiss is subbing but they are very slow. To date they finish nothing One of my biggest pet peeve is when…
I have no idea when this will be fully subbed but they just finished subbing their 2nd drama and had a voting for the next project to focus on and barb rak was the most voted.
I think the biggest issue with bitter kiss aside from real life delaying things, is the fact that they would pick project after project without focusing on any of them so you would get 3 or 4 episodes subbed of several dramas but they would all be left incomplete. But now it seems they will start focusing on a drama at a time so even if it is not fast, it shouldnt take as long as usual.
I was only able to finish it today because I put it on hold before I even reached halfway. It started interesting but I found myself losing interest as the romance was slowly developing, the mystery was not enough as they made it too easy to guess who the dead woman was early on and the female lead’s personality was all over the place. Which I get, in real life people can be like that too. The only interesting thing for me at the time was to find out who the killer was, and I already had a very strong suspect in my mind that fit the info we were given but mostly the cliché pick for a serial killer in most dramas I have watched the past few years. Although it turned out to be the person who I suspected, they were more or less able to keep me second guessing. Yesterday I picked it back up and for most part I was asking myself why I put it on hold in the first place. It was not actually that bad. There were some nice lessons and interesting characters. I especially loved the mother-son relationship and how Dong Baek and Yong Shik were each others safe port. Although the romance was not the main focus of the story, their relationship and the way they treated each other was something I wish happened more often in kdramas.
At the end of the day, although far from being my favorite drama, I did enjoy it to some extent. I probably put it on hold because at the time there was nothing making me stick with it. The mystery seemed too predictable (and it kinda was), the romance had yet to take a step further and the annoying characters were just that - annoying, as I was yet to be shown their stories and motivations. Thankfully I gave it a second chance and just put it on hold instead of dropping it.
The first 2 episodes were ok, kind of cliché but interesting enough. Episodes 3 and 4 felt draggy to try and create more suspense around a specific moment that happens only in the last few seconds of the 4th episode. Really, these 2 episodes were painfully boring to watch. I hope they step up the pace cause this is only 16 eps and so far not much has happened and if the next episodes keep the pace of the previous 2, this will be just another sageuk.
Wang lu and wang wu kissing in the end of episode.
Yeah. I have actually decided to put it on hold and wait for the second season, if it does come out. Then I will watch both. I am still waiting for a second season for Princess Agents, and wish I knew the way it ended before I watched. There might never be a second season tho since it has not been announced nor has the filming started. :(
Yea, they were to rude, sighs. Demanding as if they paying. I love NMM subs too. But I fully support the decision.
Yeah, that seems to be a frequent thing with people on the internet. They think that they are entitled to everything and dont need to be thankful as they would have to be in a real life situation. In real life when someone does something for us we say thank you. But behind the screen, instead of thank you we see a lot of, why is it taking so long, sub this one, sub that one. Sigh
Love is not only about who makes your heart beat. That is passion not love. Chalam is all that Tantawan wish Peng…
There were news saying that who she would end up with was yet to be decided while it was still airing. They would only have to shoot a few scenes to show who she picked and could have filmed everything else prior to that or even have her shoot those scenes with both actors and then air the ones with the male lead that the public rooted for. This is actually very common. I have seen plenty of dramas and series where they used this strategy to give viewers what they wanted and get better ratings.
Is there romance? Because there is no romance tag here but I have seen it in other places.
Hm, if you can already feel some romance vibes when only half of it has aired, then there will probably be more later. Even if the romance takes a back seat, if the plot is good then I will give it a try. Thanks for replying.

The end of the last episode? What about the rest of the episodes, do they interact a lot or are they often not even on screen together? When do they get together, also in the last episode?
There is romance (Ding ning actually is liang jing meng with his little aunt). Ding ning is so sweet though, he…
Lol, Yeah I joined MDL like 3 years ago and have been watching dramas way before that. Plus, I work from home so I can always watch dramas during my meals and breaks. Some days I spend more time watching dramas than working. XD

Of course it’s a choice. In life we have to make all kinds of decisions, from smaller ones like deciding what to have for lunch and bigger ones like deciding what job I want. Cheating is also one of those cases. It’s not like the person accidentally cheated, it was not a mistake, it was a choice. The person knew the possible consequences but either did not care about getting caught or was arrogant enough to think he/she could get away with it.
If I am not mistaken, the comedy will now take a back seat and this will turn into a dramatic impossible love kind of story, which is not only very cliché but also not done properly in here for it to be interesting to watch. I think I am going back to how I felt about the drama in the beginning. I am one step away from dropping it if in next week‘s episodes the plot keeps going in this direction.

Yeah, I know its not that simple. Its like when people go climbing mount Everest. They know its very dangerous, countless people have died and a lot of them did not even have their bodies retrieved and a proper funeral because it is so hard to get them and it would risk other lives, yet people keep doing it. I personally see life as more important than a possible exciting experience, and marriage/romantic relationships as more important than an affair so I would never climb mount Everest nor cheat on my husband/boyfriend. But thats me. I understand people all see things differently. I just have a hard time accepting when people do things that they know will hurt other people, but that is not enough to stop them.
About women cheating less than men, I guess it depends on the country, but although I know a lot of women cheat too, I have always been under the impression that is more common for men to do it. I could be wrong.

Thank you for explaining. This amount of spoiler is fine to me. I am ok with romances with only slight or slow paced romance if the story is interesting. And there have been dramas focused on romance that I dropped. For me the most important are the story and acting. Wuxia is not really my favorite genre but I dont hate it either and have watched quite a few dramas in this genre that I really liked. Plus, what you told me in your spoiler makes the story seem interesting so I will give it a try. ^^
