I wonder if episode 6 is gonna come out today, been over 10 days since the last one I think. Would be happy with…
It is out today. I hate how japanese dramas have less episodes but still take longer to air and to get subbed compared with korean, chinese and thai dramas. T T
This drama was a thin line between genius and complete nonsense. The whole ritual killings and disasters made an interesting plot, but I almost dropped it several times during the first few episodes. Why? Because it is one thing to have a bunch of greedy powerful people that lose all brain cells while seeking for more power, it is another to make the main character, and pretty much everyone around him believe in the same kind of nonsense.
I am sorry if this might offend anyone, but do you really think that the colour of your clothes, the placement of an object in your house, the day and time you were born and the alignment of planets and stars dictates what will happen to you, be it good or bad? Luck does not exist, you make your own luck when you make decisions, no one decides your fate for you. Karma does not exist, it is just that when you make wrong decisions, you have to accept the consequences of them. If you decide to rob a bank and later get caught by police, that has nothing to do with lack of luck or karma, it is just the consequence of you deciding to do something you should not have done in the first place.
I have watched all kinds of dramas with themes that are far from realistic like time-travelling, swapping bodies, characters that come out of books or living people going inside them, and so on. But even the writers when making these dramas know that they are fiction. So you just enjoy the plot knowing it is just a drama, and the things that happen in the drama would never happen in real life. But this drama takes itself too seriously and seems to force people watching to do the same. I was only able to watch by skipping pretty much every scene that had the male lead counting the time with his fingers and scribbling down a bunch of things about planets and stars and I dont even know. I would be a lot more prone to accepting the plot if the male lead was someone who could predict these things by having dreams or some other way, but not by acting as illogical as the villains. He was also so arrogant about his "ability" that he ended up causing the female lead a lot more pain than necessary (I cant say more or it would be a spoiler but you will understand what I mean after you watch the last 2-3 episodes). The female lead on the other hand was not the brightest person on Earth and would be the easiest to fool out of the 4 victims if it was not for all the people around protecting her.
The romance was also so half-baked that I would rather have no romance at all. Over half of the time the main leads did not even have scenes together so it felt like it was just him going after the female lead because of his beliefs and her having a crush on him. Their love did not have time to bloom.
At the end I am left feeling the emotions of someone who just watched something that had potential but at the same time feels like the most ridiculous drama I have watched in a while. Again, sorry if I offended anyone with what I said, but I am just expressing my personal opinion.
Yeah, I do the same most of the times. But when I have no idea what to watch next and all dramas I want to watch are still airing, then I might start watching 1 or 2 of them if it already has a few episodes subbed. I started watching sapai tko because the first 5 episodes were already subbed. If I think of any other drama with a female lead that you might like, I will come back here and let you know.
The idea is interesting and the drama is not bad but I felt something was missing. I felt there weren't enough elements to consolidate the plot and the pace felt a little off for me. The ending could also be better. They went for an ending that has been done a lot in these kind of plots but did not make it interesting enough, it felt a little bland.
Hmm, I think I have watched quite a few but remembering them right now is hard. But if you want a female lead that can stand up for herself, right now I am watching sapai tko and the female lead will literally punch you if you mess with her,I said literally cause she is actually a boxer. XD Idk if its your kind of drama but maybe give it a try, it is being subbed by thippy.
Really? Sorry, I dont remember if when I watched everything was subbed because I think I skipped a lot of scenes. It has been almost a year and I have literally watched hundreds of other dramas since then.
It was ok, but did not meet my expectations. Wherever the focus of the drama was, be it the tv show, the female lead’s working life or her relationships, including with the male lead, nothing reached its potential and the drama as a whole felt bland. The romance between the main leads is slow paced and the last episode tried to redeem that but one episode cannot make up for the other 27.
The highlight of this show for me was Sa Sa, the best best friend in drama land. She truly cared for Xiao Rou, to the point of putting aside her own feelings for the second male lead because she knew he loved Xiao Rou and she knew how much her friend had suffered with so much rejection. And never did she feel angry or lashed out on the female lead because of those same feelings. How many friendships were broken because of a man? Be it in real life or in dramas. Yeah, a lot. In dramas it is very common to see the second female lead turn evil or at least make some questionable decisions because of the male lead, even if she has been friends with the female lead for decades and met the male lead less than a week ago. This one was not at all like that, and that was a pleasant surprise. The behind the scenes, especially the ones from the last episode, were also something that raised the value of this drama.
But at the end of the day, it felt like an average drama and I will probably never give it a 2nd try.
This is exactly plot of the 2006 film starring Lindsay Logan and Chris Pine, "Just My Luck".
Yup, no doubt about that. I watched that movie over 10 years ago and watching the trailer for this one the movie became so fresh in my mind that I still remember the washing machine scene where she makes his apartment a bubble party. XD
It is not that I did not like who she chose, he was actually one of the first people I was quite sure liked her. It is just that I felt she had more chemistry and made a cuter couple with someone else. And in part I was right since that person does play an important part in the plot, he just doesn't get the girl. I wish the writers showed more of the female lead with the one she chose, but they wanted to keep the mystery until the end and that made me unable to feel fully satisfied when she chose him instead of the other 2.

Exactly. I prefer the brother over the male lead. So many chances to be honest with her and to save face he let her go. It will be hard for me to like him again. I liked him while he was silly, at least he was honest about the way he felt. The mother tho was a nice surprise. She is such an interesting character. I think she needs to beat some sense into her eldest son. XD
I know this is a remake of a really old drama, but just because it worked 22 years ago, it does not mean it will work now. The story, the whole disguise thing, the music, everything feels so old and tacky. The mask looks so fake, ridiculous and does not match the black high tech costume. The voice thing when his mouth is exposed, makes no sense. Did he shove a voice changer down his throat?? lol I only watched the first episode and because of the way it ended I feel the need to at least watch episode 2 to know what happens after that last scene. But I am almost certain I will eventually drop it.

Hopefully, cause I am actually enjoying this one. In the beginning I was all in for the male lead, because as a fool he was very likeable, but now I am suffering from a severe second male lead syndrome. At least he doesn't think his pride is more important than her feelings. I want to know if in the last episodes the writers will be able to make me go back to liking the male lead.
Another crazy lakorn. Any cliché you can think about happened. Characters went from 8 to 80 and at the end back to 8. Oh well, I had nothing better to watch, and as surprising as it might be, I have actually seen worse.

I try to stay away from the app if possible cause I like watching dramas on my PC and most of the episodes are always VIP. There is also the issue with the subs, a lot of dramas are uploaded with computer generated subs. I know it is not the case with this drama, but I would rather wait and see if the other 4 episodes are uploaded somewhere so I can watch on my computer.
Xiao rou end up with whom? I don't want to watch this if she end up with the "tomboy" ????????????
Of course she ends up with the male lead - Ouyang Yusheng. But either way the romance on this drama is one of the most pointless I have seen. If your main concern is who she ends up with, for sure you will be disappointed. I dont know how much you want to be spoiled so I will stop here.
This is the kind of drama I had to watch on fast forward or not watch at all. After watching hundreds of dramas you start to pick up on hints and can tell where things are going early on. I did not like how just in the first few episodes BOTH main leads kept going back and forth between who they liked or thought they liked. I could tell where things were going, and I was right. The entire drama is pretty much pointless and the story is so weak that the main leads give a supporting character kind of vibe. Other characters seem to have more backstory and stronger personalities than them.
The end felt rushed, incomplete and forced. I think even the actors could feel how forced it was. Just look at the male lead’s face in the last scene. Lol
I did not even have any expectations when I started this because I read the synopsis and knew this could potentially be a disaster...or just be genius. Unfortunately, it was the first.
