It is not only a little discoloration, there is a bump in the place she was cut which is what happens as the skin tries to heal. Its like when you break something and glue it back together, although it is not missing any piece you can see where the cracks are. Thats what happens to the skin when the cut is not just superficial.

I know because I cut the head of one of my fingers during an internship while in cooking school and although its not like I cut it completely off, as the skin tried to heal and stick back together it became bumpy and if you look closer you can see where it was cut cause the skin is raised compared to the rest of the finger. But it is not very noticeable and most people dont even know cause like I said, you have to be looking at tha specific finger and be close enough to be able to see it. So I dont care much about it.

But yeah, I understand what you meant. I also thought her scar would be something more noticeable like she burned half of her face or had a huge cut across her face or something like that. In episode 1 you can barely see it with her wearing glasses and having bangs.

I started watching it while it had just started airing and yet 2 months after it finished airing I have not watched past episode 7. Idk, I just dont feel that need to watch which I have with other dramas. If I compare this one with any other high school drama, there is nothing that stands out. Also, from the comments I can tell both the romance and ending are underwhelming so I think I will just drop it. Maybe you think this is great, but for someone like me, who has watched hundreds of dramas, with dozens of them being high school dramas, I need the drama to stand out from the crowd for me to not feel bored while watching.

Also, this was filmed almost 10 years ago and meanwhile a bunch of high school dramas and movies were released making this trope very common and average. Think about the first few dramas you watched, I am sure at the time you found them amazing, but if you watched them now after watching hundreds of other similar dramas, those dramas might seem average.

Yeah, thats why I said slowly. When I am not familiar with the person subbing and they take several months between episodes, I usually put the drama on hold and only start watching when its fully subbed since there have been a lot of times the subs stopped or literally took years to be completed. Nekomeowmeow is an example of a subber who is pretty fast so I usually start watching once a few episodes have been subbed because I know the other episodes will be added just a few days later or even the next day.

Oh true, no wonder the plot felt familiar to me. I did not see that it was a remake. Usually I like the kdrama and cdrama style over jdrama but I actually think in this case the remake was nowhere as good as the original. They dragged it too much. Idk what they were thinking to make a remake of a drama that is 10 episodes long, around 1 hour each and drag it for 38 episodes of 45 mins each, no wonder I almost fell asleep watching.

Wait a sec, 12 episodes already aired? Then the airing info here is wrong cause it says it started airing 2 days ago and will air until December. Then my bad, I thought only 2-4 episodes aired and people rated it after watching only 1 episode or something. I have seen a lot of dramas on MDL that literally have not even aired and have 10 as rating because one person rated it. And I found weird that a drama that aired at the time of my comment, the previous day, had such a low rating. You have a point when you say that the rating can be changed. I mysef have given better/worse ratings after re-watching a drama or picking up one I dropped. In my previous comment I did not mean people who rated after watching only a few episodes, I was talking about people who rate dramas BEFORE they watch it like just because of the actors, the way the cover looks, the trailer or the synopsis.

In my analogy I said the person cannot say the food does not taste good by just looking at it. I did NOT say that the person said he/she didnt like it after just taking one bite. I studied cooking so I know from experience that some food might look great and have no flavour at all while other food looks bad and tastes amazing. You will only know if you like something after you try it. That is what I meant. You dont need to finish the food to know if you like it, but you need to at least taste it. You dont need to finish a drama to rate it, but you should not rate it if you have not watched it at all.

Episode 5 was very entertaining to watch and a rollercoaster of emotions. It had the serious, got everyone worried part, then it had the funny part (pervert catching time with those awesome disguises lol) and it ended on a romantic note. Episode 6 here I go! ^^ ........................................................................................................ And then another week of waiting. T T

Thats like going to a restaurant and saying something does not taste good by just looking at it and before you even try it.

That said, this looks like one of those crazy dramas that might either be interesting or a complete waste of time. But I will wait until I actually watch it to rate it, like a normal person. XD

Yup, cause to make a drama that long they have to drag it somehow and always do that by adding kidnappings, accidents, misunderstandings, separation, and the list goes on.

I have only watched 10 episodes and its already going downhill. I even put it on hold until all episodes are subbed so I can spoil myself in the comments and decide if I will keep watching or drop it. I am pretty sure when I put this drama on my plan to watch list the synopsis was different and made the drama seem a lot less dramatic and messed up than it actually is. T T

I dont remember much about the kissing scenes in Duangjai Kabot as I dropped it halfway, I do remember they were better than average. Maturot is fresher in my mind since I just finished it and they were pretty good too, except for a everyone freeze one near the end. lol There was a lot of skinship too. But overall I think any actress would have chemistry with Mike, he has been playing only male lead roles for a reason. XD

Yeah. Also, Pasu and the princess fell in love with each other too fast. But here it was different.
At first Pa protected Nampeung cause that was his nature, he was the bandit that was not really a bandit and although he did feel attracted to her from the start, I believe he only started loving her as he got to know how kind she was. Same thing for her, at first she thought he was a despicable bandit and hated him but once she saw his true self she fell for him. So their relationship felt a lot more authentic and they came out as having more chemistry than Pasu and the princess.

Yup, it was kind of boring, but I dont think it was the actors fault. The plot did not give them room for chemistry, there was barely any skinship and of course, no kisses, cause its channel 3 and this drama is from 2017.

The pace is very slow and always gave me the feeling nothing was happening, like there was no progress, so I was bored most of the time. The male lead was selfish and immature. I get that he was hurt in the past and was insecure because of that but he never thought about how she would feel once she found out about him disguising and lying to her constantly. He had so many chances to tell her the truth but instead decided that it would be easier for her to forget the man she loved and fall for another one than be honest and say they are the same person. Not even her suffering made him put his pride aside. The writers somehow made his actions more acceptable by having the female lead beat him at his own game, but its not like I can call the ending satisfying.

At the end of the day I still think she deserved a better man and their romance was not that interesting to watch, in part because of the plot, but also because as in most channel 3 dramas there was barely any skinship, not even fake kisses. lol

If you havent yet, then you should watch Maturot Loghan and you will have a lot of chances to see her pout. XD Plus, she has really good chemistry with Michael in it.

I have finished the sequel and no doubt it was a lot more interesting. Pa and Nampeung were a lot more fun to watch than Pasu and and the princess.

Thanks for subbing this, I was able to watch it thanks to your hard work. I dropped Duang Jai Kabot halfway because I did not find the story or the romance interesting enough but I really liked this version. Pa and Nampeung became one of my favorite thai drama couples. ^^

If you have finished it, do you still think the same way? Cause I personally thought Mike and Mook had better chemistry than Mike and Now. And I also thought this version was a lot more interesting than Duang Jai Kabot. When you wrote this comment you had watched all episodes of Duang Jai Kabot and only 6 of Maturot Loghan so its normal for you to feel a stronger connection to the first. But now that you have completed both, what do you think?

A lot better than the other version, like you cant even compare them. I ended up dropping Duang Jai Kabot before I reached half of it and just skipped to the last episode to know how it ended. Idk if its because the whole princess and protector thing was kind of boring or because I did not really feel the romance. I still decided to give this one a chance although I was not impressed with the first one. And guess what? I really liked this one. Not only did I find the story a lot more interesting, I thought Michael had much better chemistry with Mook than with Now. In fact, Pa and Nampeung go to my list of favourite thai drama couples.

The whole supernatural thing I could have done without, and I know the writers could have still kept most of the story without it. Like police not being able to find the village because there was some sort of secret passage and not being able to fight the bandits just because they are too good at fighting, like Pa did not even need any superpower with those moves (hum, and muscles). But I know its a thai thing so I just skipped those scenes when I though they were too cringy.

Overall I really liked this drama and looking at the score, my guess is that I am not the only one thinking this version is better. At the moment, Duang Jai Kabot has a rating of 7.4 while Maturot Loghan is rated 8.8. That is quite a difference for 2 dramas from the same series.

I live in Europe. Maybe this drama is only showing in Asian territory and maybe in the US too? Not sure. Hopefully this will be uploaded later in some site and then I can watch it.
