On Because This Is My First Life Dec 18, 2017
I don’t need to say much about this one. Story, characters, cinematography, music, everything was done very well. tvN is one of my favorite channels for a reason. When you have a regular plot and are able to make it an interesting drama that makes the viewers feel all the emotions the characters feel....well, you know what you’re doing. Also, I gotta give an honorable mention to Kitty/Woori. Cutest cat of Kdrama land.

After reading some comments and watching a certain YT video, I saved myself from another heartbreak. Goes to my list of "Not Interested".

Also for those that haven't watched, note that this isn't a love story drama like a normal romance, the…
I did not read this until after I watched the drama. I honestly did pick this for the love story and although those expectations were not properly met, I do not regret watching this. I agree the second half was less interesting than the first half but overall I still think it was worth my time.

Like a someone said above, this was not a story about romance, it was about love, yes, but mostly not the romantic type of love, it was more about friendship, loyalty and the sacrifices people sometimes make for the ones they love more than themselves.
On The King in Love Dec 16, 2017
There were 2 ships, but San could only get on one. Depending on which ship you wanted her to get on, you might love or you might hate the ending. For me, surprisingly, in the end I did not care as much for which ship she got on but how I understood the REAL meaning behind those words we heard on the first episode: "This is my story, me, who loved YOU more than myself". (might not be these exact words but thats more or less how I remember it)

Although as a romance lover I would have usually liked to see more focus on the romance, I have to say I liked how friendship (also a kind of love) and loyalty where the most important. The character development was also really good, specially one particular person that I cannot name or it would be a huge spoiler.

In the end, I cannot say I loved it as it did not have as much romance as I expected, but I cannot hate it either. And I think only people who already watched it can understand this feeling of neither loving it nor hating it. Unless you expected San to get on one ship and in the end you got it wrong and she got on the other - then you might hate it.

P.S. - I got the ship she would get on right. ^^
On The Three Musketeers Dec 15, 2017
The romance is far from being the main focus and is very slow paced. If you want to watch it for the romance you might be disappointed. If you are watching for the story and the romance doesn’t matter that much to you, then go ahead and watch it.

I watched because of the romance and did not drop it, although I did have to fast foward a lot. Still worth since it’s a short drama. And the ending wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Still, could not give it more than 6/10, but that’s just me because I watched it for the romance. You might like it more than me.
On Reunited Worlds Dec 13, 2017
I put it on hold like 5 times and was finally able to finish it. I think the problem is they gave us a promising plot and a few interesting first episodes that raised our expectations and then gave us like 35 episodes of normal people daily lives. I am not saying it was completely bad. They just made us believe they would feed us an extraordinary dish that we never tried before and then gave us plain rice.
On Live Up to Your Name Dec 13, 2017
This drama has too many pros and I am sure most, if not all, were already mentioned by someone else. So I will just mention 2.

1 - The acting. The actress playing the female lead and the other actors did well but I have to say that the actor playing the male lead was outstanding. Whenever he had to be serious, he would put on a serious face, when he had to be funny/silly he would definitely make you at least giggle just with his facial expressions and when he had to cry and be hurt, you would feel his suffering. I found myself crying more than once and this is not even really what would be considered a sad drama. (can’t say more without spoilers)

2 - The music. Overall the OSTs were pretty good but there was one that stood out for me: Always by Hyolyn (aka Hyorin).
I have been listening to her and her ex-group’s (SISTAR) music for around 2 years now (they are all talented but Hyorin’s voice is just incredible). And this drama gifted me another one of her songs filled with memories of the good time I had watching this.

I would say to give it a try. You probably won’t regret it.

I have a question: what was Jin Hyuk's (blonde boy who played guitar) relationship with Na Bi and her friends?…
I think he was Da Eun’s boyfriend. I remember them talking about it on the bus just before the accident happened. He was scared of visiting her in the hospital, I guess he didn’t want to accept the reality. That was why Na Bi was upset. Her friend’s boyfriend visiting her should be expected, yet he wouldn’t. Na Bi might have also had some hope that him visiting her friend would make her get better.

Not as good as I thought it would be. I couldn’t care less about the cases, except for 1 or 2, and the way they investigated and solved them was way less interesting compared to other dramas about prosecutors. It was in fact quite boring.

Only a few things made me watch it till the end and they were Han Byeol’s case (which sadly also lost me at some point), the cute little Chan and Kang Soo. Of course those were not enough for me to give this a high rating. I gave it a 6/10.

Negative comments aside I could feel the angst since episode 1 and I can only tolerate it in a small amount without it spoiling a drama for me. From what I have read and from what I watched in episode 1, I could feel there was lots of it yet to come. I also couldn’t connect with the main characters or any characters really. I just got the vibe that I would regret watching this throughout the entire 1st episode. So before I got too involved and forced myself to keep watching just to know the ending while wasting precious hours that could be used for something else, I decided to drop it.
On My Mr. Mermaid Dec 6, 2017
Light and slow paced romance, which should be expected since it is 36 episodes long but I still loved the main couple. I am not sure if it was good acting or if the actors had some off screen chemistry but you can tell since episode 1 that they are completely in love with each other, those smiles they give each other can melt an iceberg...like for real.

If you don’t like slow paced romance you might find it a little boring at times. Usually I would feel that way, but like I said, I could tell they were in love with each other since episode 1 so I didn’t care much about how long it would take them to confess their feelings and start dating. (it still happened faster than a lot of other dramas)

Of course, there are always flaws, and like most chinese dramas it dragged here and there but nothing that would make me consider dropping it. My rating: 7.5/10

If you are like me and got confused by the mixed reviews and are not sure if you should watch this or not, I will try to help you without giving away too much.

1st - Don’t start this thinking this is an awesome survival drama and have high expectations, because if you do, you might drop it in the first few episodes;

2nd - Although not an awesome survival drama, it is still about "survival", so do not get too attached to the supporting characters, because if it is about surviving that means not everyone will get to live. Remember DO NOT get too attached to the supporting characters. Any of them could die the next minute unexpectedly, so always keep guessing if this or that person will get to live (don’t say I didn’t warn you);

3rd - Although some things were quite stupid and did not make sense at all, it was somehow realistic in the sense that in real life, sometimes, the bad guys get away with it and justice does not always prevail (yeah, it’s sad but that is how the world is, so keep that in mind if you decide to give this a chance);

4th - I get why so many people are mad at the ending. The last episode solved what needed to be solved (kind of), it was the ending we wanted (again, kind of) BUT those last 10 minutes of the episode can make you question if the time you spent on this was worth. Aside from all the cringe, let’s say they could have given us a better ending by simply taking one of the characters out of the picture.

Conclusion: Do I regret watching this? Not really. (although those last few minutes made me question my decision) Would I watch it again? For me it doesn’t have much re-watch value. Should you watch it? Your call. I hope the 4 points I stated above helped you decide.

Rated it 6.5/10
On While You Were Sleeping Dec 1, 2017
There are some mixed opinions about this drama. I guess I will share mine too.

I think I belong to the group of people that really enjoyed this. I was very disappointed with most of the recent kdramas: The Bride of Habaek was nothing like I expected and I fast fowarded too much and did not drop it only because I watched it as the episodes came out, if I had tried binge watching it I would have probably dropped it in the first few episodes; Reunited Worlds started interesting but soon became too focused on the characters daily life instead of focusing on the part that got us all interested in the first place, and because of that I have been putting it on hold and am stuck at episode 26; and there were more that I could add, but I would be here for too long.

Now, this one actually surprised me. I am not going to say it was perfect and had no flaws, it did, but none of them were that big that they stopped me from enjoying every episode. Personally, I am not a fan of Suzy’s acting and I am not sure if she improved her acting or if I just liked this too much because for the first time her acting did not bother me at all, and believe me, it bothered me in all of her previous dramas. I watched it in 2 days and usually when I watch so many episodes at once I have the habit of fast fowarding a lot, which did not happen with this one. Just the fact that I bothered to write my opinion about this kdrama shows how much I liked it. I have no idead what I am going to watch now. I rated it 9/10, which I have done to less than 10 dramas out of all the hundreds of dramas I have watched.

Not bad but cant say it is good either. The plot was interesting, had everything to be a great drama but I felt like the execution was not the best and things didnt make much sense at times.

With this plot they could have done something that would make me feel the thrill in each episode and crave the next but I felt like it was so poorly executed that I was bored most of the time. Only 2 or 3 episodes managed to keep me on the edge of my seat.

The ending...well, I am not going to say anything. I have so much to say but would end up giving spoilers.

I gave it a 6.5, and only because the plot more or less stood out for being different with the male lead being a "bad guy". He was cute too. ^^

1st episode is now subbed :)
Really? I just finished watching The Perfect Match, which also has cooking as part of the plot and was disappointed at the 2nd half. This one has been on hold for at least 3 months and it seems like something I would love. Thank you for letting me know that they started subbing it. You just made my day better. XD
On The Perfect Match Nov 21, 2017
Like most people here I felt like stopping at episode 17, but I feel like the story started changing directions way before that. I started getting the vibe that I would be disappointed by the end of this after episode 12 or 13. It is sad because I loved the first 10 episodes or so. I studied cooking for 3 years and it is my passion, so when a drama has both romance and cooking I get my hopes up. BUT a little bit after episode 10, cooking became less and less important and it started to have too much family drama. I would have loved to see them cooking together, having new challenges and learning new dishes until the last episode. I gave this a 6.5/10 because I watched the whole thing and skipped a lot of scenes from the last 5 episodes. I was very disappointed with the direction it took, almost like they changed writters, director, everything, like watching a completely different drama. If it had kept the same direction as the first half I would have given it at least a 9/10.
On Down with Love Nov 17, 2017
I gave this a try because most reviews were super good. But I just couldn’t watch it until the end. The plot seemed quite interesting but it went in a completely different direction from what I expected. I felt no chemistry between the 2 leads, the supporting characters were too annoying and honestly I just didn’t like the female lead. Everything she did looked either like overacting or plain annoying, just going around talking super loud even in public places, I find that quite embarassing. I could not relate to her at all.

Overall I just found it a waste of time and ended up dropping it although I was only a few episodes away from the last episode.
On All about My Mom Nov 16, 2017
I know the reviews are very good and I believe this might be good but for me it was boring. I forced myself to watch the first 15 episodes and still could not feel connected to any of the characters so I ended up dropping it. I might be wrong to do it but I am not a fan of family dramas as they have a lot of episodes, which means investing a lot of time in watching them, a lot of annoying supporting characters and dragging stories. I might change my mind later and decide to pick this up but right now this is something I do not feel like watching.

Just finished watching it and I liked it (most of the time). On a side note, doesn't the uncle look like…
Definitely. I knew he looked like someone and kept wondering who the entire time. Now I know who he reminded me of. Btw, I feel like the actress who played the female lead, An Amber, looks like the korean actress Uhm Jung Hwa from Witch's Romance. They could be sisters and even mother and daughter since they have a 16 year difference.

Not the best but definitely not the worst drama I have watched. The ending was very predictable but I can ignore that since it was exactly what I wanted.

The male lead has to be one of my favourite male leads. Not that he is my type or that he is one of those perfect in everything male leads, although he is very good in most of it. What really got me was how he never, in even one moment, managed to frustrate me. He was never mean to the female lead, he didn‘t let misunderstandings break them up (can’t say the same about the female lead), he always trusted her and was fast to forgive her when she messed up, he was not overly smart but also was not dumb as to let people step over him while he is watching, and so on and so on...

The supporting characters were also pretty likeable, aside from the Uncle (but that was his job, right?), the grandfather most of the times and Shu Pei once (which is totally acceptable compared to all the other second female leads out there that manage to do that at least 20 times throughout the drama).

Overall it was a good watch. 7.5/10
