46 episodes of a story that was so predictable and went nowhere really. And the romance was slow and barely present. This is a drama to watch only if you like historical dramas no matter what or if youre bored and have nothing else to watch. Was kinda disappointed to be honest. It was just another drama with the same plot lines so many others have, nothing new.

Maybe I am wrong but after 4 episodes I was not able to get into the story and started feeling sleepy which never happens when I am enjoying a drama even if its like 3am. So yeah, I ended up dropping it.

I waited almost an year for this. Was it good? Yes, it was. Was it as good as I expected? Unfortunately no. I guess the longer you wait for a drama the higher your expectations are, and the probabity of not meeting them also increases.

At first I wanted her to be with Shen Xing Yi but that was just for a moment until he turned out to be an idiot who thought beating up the woman he likes would make her want to sleep with him. Sigh
After that I enjoyed watching her relationship with Wu Ping and was glad they got married, their marriage was so happy and with a baby on the way, oh but wait its a chinese drama so we need some tragedy, lets kill her husband and make her lose the baby. From then on I started skipping a lot of scenes and most of them were boring and btw, guess what happens when it all looks like she could end up with Shen Xing Yi at the end and have the happy ever after...yup, remember, its a chinese drama, so yeah, they dont end up together, he dies.

And now you know why I think the title should be "No Man Can Stay" cause they all gotta go.

This was definitely one of the best 2018 dramas I have watched. What is weird is that I usually don’t like dramas if they don’t have a super deep plot, action and a lot of surprises, yet some of the most recent dramas that I liked were missing all that. Just normal daily lives that somehow are entertaining enough to make a person watch it and fully enjoy it. I laughed so many times with the main leads and other characters and grinned at so many romantic scenes that I can’t count. I will re-watch it for sure.

Like so many other dramas, this one also started interesting and had a solid first half but the second half was boring with a few scenes that were interesting.

hum...what just happened?? I am confused. Have no idea what they were trying to do. It feels like the last 5 episodes or so were written by a completely different person.

A nice slow paced story. Not slow paced as in boring but slow paced as in slowly building up the story.

I didn’t dislike it either. It was well written. But maybe watching too many law dramas made my expectations very high and I might also have not been in the mood for a law drama and that might be the reason for me to feel bored while watching it. I have given second chances to dramas before and ended up being surprised by how much I liked them after.

Makes sense. We have to deal with realism every day so seeing it in dramas too makes it boring I guess. XD

Usually I like this kind of drama, but this one in particular was boring for me. I don’t know exactly why but I just couldn’t connect to the story and fast fowarded a lot of scenes.

To define this drama in few words - could have been so much more.

But the music was pretty good. The May Be song is already going to be part of my kdrama osts’ playlist.

Yeah, I don’t like triangles either. Why can’t it be just 2 people who love each other without any annoying/perfect second leads and break ups that make no sense? I love it when a drama has romance without too many frustrating sub-plots.

I guess. I didn’t really have a problem with the acting, it was more with the writing/directing. But she does play a character that is smart but naive at the same time, if that’s even possible. But if I was you I would still give it a try. If you can get past the first few episodes, you might like it.

First few episodes were boring, kept skipping scenes, then it got a little better, some pretty good episodes and an ending that was lacking. It was not awful but nothing special either. Have seen better.

I had to drop it at the 2nd episode. I watched the japanese version not that long ago and although I finished it, it was far from being my favourite drama. I decided to give this one a try since I mainly watch kdramas, but this one bored me even more than the japanese version, and looking at the rating and a huge amount of negative reviews I can predict I would drop it eventually, so why not drop it now so I can save time and go watch something else?!

Yeah, I think I have watched all of their dramas too. They look very good together and it seems off the screen they are really good friends.
