Be it for kdrama standards or zombie movie/serie standards, I’m not impressed. The first episode was one of the most boring things I have ever watched and episode 2 and 3 were not much better.
I am getting a comedy kind of vibe but did not find anything funny, scary or thrilling, just a bunch of meh. I will put it on-hold until the other episodes air and see if it’s even worth finishing. It does not help they decided to air one episode a week, it is just not that interesting that people will feel like waiting an entire week for just 1 episode, it would have been a smarter move to air all episodes at once.
The ending was abrupt and the editing felt choppy, maybe they were trying to make it less sad than the one in the novel by omitting a lot of stuff but what was that ending??
That aside, the actors did a great job, felt a lot of different emotions while watching this one.
This comment section is the reason why you should watch something, at least 1 episode before you leave a comment. People are having full blown discussions about something that does not even happen. There is NO CHEATING in this drama. Notice there is no infidelity tag. As someone who cannot stand infidelity, I would be the first to run if I saw it.
There is some emotional cheating on the FL’s part during a moment when she was too focused on the annoying parts of being married but this was mostly because of their lack of communication and she did not actually cheat.
The drama is about the hardships of marriage, specially when there is lack of communication between the couple. It is not an amazing drama by any means, just something to watch when you have nothing else to watch, which was my case.
This is a complete trainwreck... full of clichés, misunderstandings and unrealistic sub plots and characters BUT I could not stop watching for some reason. It was so bad that I just wanted to find out how much worse it could get. ^^'
I 'm watching ep 2. I can't believe how dumb the FL is! Before it all began, she was a rich spoiled brat who felt…
The dumbest thing is that she killed a bunch of people and went through a lot of trouble just to end up back in 2024, separated from the ML and leaving him to die in one year in his timeline. After that ending it felt like I just wasted my time watching this one.
Most of the characters are unlikable and the ending is dumb. You can tell by the way it ended that the writers think they did something great but they just messed up something that was already not that good.
Here I was wondering why they would end with so many loose ends but then I saw there will be a second part.
Wish I knew this before starting. I do not like when dramas are split into seasons so I would have waited for the second part to air before watching, just like I did with Lost You Forever. Hopefully it will not take too long for it to air. With all the new rules we might have to wait for a whole year to watch the rest of the episodes. T T
I do not know the exact schedule. I noticed how some days 2 episodes air and other days only 1 episode airs (like the past 2 days). But thank you for letting me know. Guess I have 2 episodes to binge-watch tomorrow while having lunch. ^^
I did not check the schedule, since the past 2 days only 1 episode came out I assumed tomorrow only 1 would come out too but it seems like I was wrong. YAY ^^
If it was not for the ending this would have been a pretty ok short drama.
Although the plot was nothing new or anything, it was interesting to watch. The ending ruined everything and it is probably the main reason why this has such a low rating when there are worse short dramas out there.
This is a well made drama if you want to watch it for the wuxia and fantasy part of it. I personally am not a huge fan of these 2 genres but from time to time I find some dramas with these genres that I quite like so I decided to give this one a try.
The story is told from the male lead’s perspective, he is the MAIN character, making this one already different from most dramas that will usually have the female lead be the center of the story.
With that said, if you are looking for romance, this might not be for you. I did not read the novel but it is pretty obvious the novel has harem because you will be seeing random female characters show up left and right around the male lead. I don’t know how they handled the romance in the novel, but in the drama he has only one love interest, the "female lead".
Why use " " when referring to the female lead? Well, she first shows up at the end of episode 6. For 6 episodes she does not even exist in the plot. After she shows up she will not appear in every episode and in many episodes she will show up for only a few short scenes. There are several other female characters that show up as often if not more often than the "female lead".
Also, the way her character was written was as if she is only there to be the male leads’ love interest, that is when he is not busy doing something else and be an excuse for him to want to go up the ranks. Her character has no real value to the plot.
The ending did not feel like an ending to me but at the same time I was not excited for a second season.
My conclusion is that this is a well made drama and for sure is loved by a lot of people like you can see from the ratings, reviews and most of the comments. But it might not be for everyone. Unfortunatelly, it was not my cup of tea. :(
Omg my memory was so good before but I feel like it's declining faster than it should is it cuz I'm flooding it…
hahaha, I have watched thousands of dramas since 2010 when I first started, 14 years of drama watching are the reason my memory is not as good as it used to be? I regret nothing.
Now being serious, recent years have really messed with our heads, aside from aging, not sleeping enough, having a bad diet, not training our brain often, stress, covid, so many things can have a negative influence on our brain. Social media with the short videos is ruining our ability to focus and be patient and AI is making us dumber, unable to think for ourselves. Our brains are constantly being overloaded with information and most of it is useless. ^^'
Btw, am I the only one who thought Heo Nam Jun was wasted on the character he played here? He gave off serial…
Yeah, it was pretty obvious the writers wanted them together, they would be making her trip and fall into his arms, can’t get more obvious than that.
What I meant is the actor would have done a great villain because the look on his eyes and certain gestures made him look like a psychopath. It felt like a waste that his character had so little importance in the plot.
To me, this was one of the best kdramas of 2024...which does not mean much since 2024 was not the best year for…
Btw, am I the only one who thought Heo Nam Jun was wasted on the character he played here? He gave off serial killer vibes way too many times to not be a bad guy. XD

It started well and kept me interested for most of it BUT I was able to predict most things pretty early on and found the last few episodes to be underwhelming compared to the rest of the drama.
Worth watching but if it was not for the last few episodes I would have given it a higher rating.
