A remake has to be as good or even better than the original because otherwise who would be happy watching the same story but worse? That is like trying a dessert made by a chef and then eating the same dessert made by someone who is making it for the first time and got some ingredients wrong.
I did not watch the original but I watched Truth or Dare and although I liked it, it had its flaws. This one was not even half as good. So yeah, this is not great and you might even find it below average if this plot is not new to you.
I liked the first half or so but around the time the story started focusing on his competitions it became boring, maybe even earlier. I am not sure when but along the way it lost its charm. Probably should have kept it shorter. 24 episodes would have been more than enough for this kind of plot.
This could have been a really great drama, the kind that you want to keep watching even if it’s already 3 am. But the execution was mediocre. The pacing, the plot, the characters, everything was so bland and boring.
I liked the ML and a few small things here and there but it was not enough to make it an enjoyable watch for me.
If you do not have enough time to watch all the dramas you want to watch, you can safely skip this one and go watch something else.

The first guy she "killed" was not even dead and it was an accident. Joo Oh Nam interfering and actually killing the guy was what set her on a downward spiral.
And then his mother continued creating trouble in her life afterwards, going as far as trying to kill her own grandaughter. In my opinion, both her and her son are a lot worse than Kim Mo Mi.
The ending made me cry. She was just a girl that had a dream and ended up ruined because of the trashy society we live in. Hard not to feel some empathy for her even with all the wrong things she did.

Yeah. This new generation of teens has no patience for watching anything long, which is why so many short dramas are coming out and social media focused on short videos are popular. Even YouTube is prioritizing dumb short videos instead of longer videos that actually provide value to the viewers.

Same, girl. Every time I find a drama that seems interesting and find out it is from mgtv I feel like breaking stuff. It is not that hard for them to find human translators. I have 2 or 3 dramas on my on-hold list that are from mgtv just because of the subs. I want to watch them but I refuse to watch anything with such terrible subs.
I really wanted to start this one but I am glad I waited because if I had watched it and then found out I would have to wait an entire year for the second season, I would be so mad.
Guess I have to be more careful from now on when deciding if I should start a Chinese drama right away. Have to make sure it does not have several seasons. China’s regulations and censorship are always ruining things for us.
People keep defending this one saying that it is a vampire drama so it is normal that it is cringe and all that. I have watched other dramas with vampires, older ones too, and they were less cringy and had better editing than this one.
This did not have to be cringy or be a "comedy" much less look like a low production drama with the below average editing everytime there was vampire scene. It was just the direction the writers chose to go. To make it worse, the ending did not match what the target audience for this type of drama would expect. If they made this out to be a comedy, they should have kept it that way until the end.
I was excited about seeing Ok Taec Yeon as the male lead, but he definitely deserves a better role than the one he got here.

Sure, but Japan has really been portraying this in a lot of dramas so I imagine it is because it is very common there for people to stay in marriages where there is infidelity, which does not happen as often in other countries, mine included.

I did a similar thing but started when only 5 episodes were out and now I have been watching each new episode the day it comes out.
