Idk, it did not really meet my expectations. The romance was meh and I even felt they would be better off alone than together, the villains were weak and the ending was wrapped up in a convenient but not very realistic way. Not my cup of tea.
When it comes to short dramas, this was one of the best I have watched. It really is like an historical c-drama version of the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Unfortunately, the subs are pretty bad, as expected from MGTV. I would have enjoyed it a lot more if I was actually able to understand what they were saying. :(
The subs are garbage but the plot and concept is soooooo good!!! I'd love a full-length version - and I didn't…
Glad someone said it. I thought I was the only one who had noticed how bad the subs were since no one was talking about it. I started watching the first episode but as soon as I saw the MGTV logo I knew what was coming. They never bother to properly sub their dramas. :(
The premise was really interesting and the first few episodes, although not as good as I expected, were enjoyable. But then they decided to add clichés and unnecessary subplots to drag this long enough to be 30 episodes. Technically, this was 28 episodes long since the last 2 are literally a compilation of the scenes from their first drama together.
In my opinion, this would have been great if they had made it 16, 24 eps max. I would completely remove a certain subplot and the appearance of 2 characters and would have the amnesia be fake at some point or at least not pull the double amnesia thing (still trying to get over what happened in Young Lady and Gentleman). The 2 other dramas that the FL acted on could have also not been included or have less screen time. The focus should have been on the 1st one.
With that said, this is not a bad drama per say and the acting was great. This drama is just a perfect example of wasted potential.
So Wayree is like a free ticket to Disneyland compared to this. The ML is not the only one who makes a mess when he gets drunk. The writers were probably drinking too when they wrote this drama’s script. Yikes
I think both the writers and the ML should stop drinking. Every time they drink they make a mess. No cute kids, puppies or kittens could save this one for me. And that is all I have to say about this one.
To be honest, I had no expectations when I started watching this. In fact, I even considered if I wanted to watch it at all. I was not really in the mood for illness, slow-paced romance or anything like that. But I decided that instead of giving up on it I would just leave it for later. I am so glad I did not send it to my not interested list.
The pace is nice, the romance development is slow but fits their personalities and reality so it does not feel boring to watch, their chemistry is great, the plot is both heart warming and heart wrenching,... It just has a little bit of everything in just the right amount.
P.S. - The FL can be annoying in the first few episodes, but please, don’t give up on her or this drama. It does not take too long for her to change her attitude. Also, get some tissues ready for the last episode, it will be both very sweet and very bitter.
He's not married. He actually tried to break up with his gf very soon after the FL confeses but the gf won't accept…
Ok. Thank you for letting me know. Then that tag might be because of some supporting characters. Anyway, hope he has a clean breakup soon. It takes 2 to be in a relationship. If he wants out she cannot force him to stay with her. If he ends up being one of those ML that does not have a clean breakup until the last episode, then I might as well not even watch it.
As an adaptation of Boys over Flowers, this was one of the best. I have watched the Japanese and the Korean versions a long time ago and I think I might have watched the Chinese version too.
But if I compare it to other dramas I have watched the past 10 years it is not necessarily my cup of tea. Too much bullying, unrequited loves and crazy mother antics for my taste. Felt the same way about the other adaptations.
To make it easier to understand, I liked it more than I liked the other adaptations of this story but I liked it less than I liked a lot of other dramas I have watched over the years. Hope my comment was not too confusing. ^^'
As much as I liked the cast, the acting, the chemistry between the main leads....I just was not able to fully enjoy this. I found the whole weather forecasting thing extremely boring and felt there was something lacking about the plot. The ending was just as bland.
I liked it more than what I was expecting when I started it but I think it might have been better if they kept it shorter, somewhere between 24-30 episodes would have been best. I felt it dragged a little bit after she woke up and there were some things added to the plot that I think were not necessary and even made it a less enjoyable watch for me.
But overall it was better than the average c-drama.
A fresh take on the cliché romantic dramas you would watch back in 2010. The plot itself is nothing new, but the acting, the chemistry between the main leads, the second main leads that were never interested in the main leads (SML works for and is like a brother to the ML and SFL is the FL best friend and also like a sister to her), the funny moments, and other things are what makes this stand out compared to any other drama with a very cliché plot.
It was smart to make it 12 episodes instead of 16 to avoid creating unnecessary misunderstandings, separation and family opposition to drag it out. But I think I would not mind a little more development and would gladly watch those 4 episodes.
Is this a great drama? Probably not. Will you like it? Maybe. I think this might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I did enjoy it. It helped that I watched it weekly instead of binge-watching.
This is no masterpiece nor a drama with a story that will blow your mind. This is just a simple romantic comedy that is very entertaining to watch.
Are there actually plans for a second season or are you just hoping there is one? ^^'
Not really. Usually the second season is announced before the first season even ends, and then there are some that have a second season coming 1 year later or so but I have watched many c-dramas with endings that are much more of a cliffhanger than this one and that did not have a second season.
But I still got my answer. So there is no second season planed but you think there might be one.
Although not really a fan of short dramas, I have watched a few that were able to keep me invested with a good pace, interesting story and decent editing.
But this one is just SO BAD. Just the 1st episode alone feels like you are watching it on 2 or even 3x the normal speed while some random scenes were put together.
The idea of a wife that has amnesia and the husband making her fall in love with him again, although not new, seems interesting but the execution was so bad that even kids making a movie for a school project would have done better than this.
Yeah, but I have a hard time watching anything if the subs are a mess. I feel so distracted that I cannot focus on what is happening. So I would rather put this on hold and wait for a while.
