felt the same. i'm more of a romcom/slice of life kind of girl so i was just skipping those dark scenes hoping…
Although I like both romcom and darker plots, if I start watching a romcom, I am not expecting it to turn dark. Just like I would not be happy if I started watching a more serious drama with a darker plot and then they suddenly started acting like clowns. ^^'
I almost did not watch it since I was unable to get into Police University. This one I was able to watch. I did enjoy it with a lot of skipping, but there were definitely flaws. There were 3 main flaws for me:
1 - The sudden shift after episode 10 felt anti-climatic. Instead of slowly preparing the viewers for this shift, it felt like we were just thrown into a completely different drama. Until episode 10 or so it was more of a slice-of-life, comedy and romantic drama, but after that it became more of a crime drama with focus on corruption and death. I like crime dramas and I also like lighter dramas, but the way they moved from one to the other did not feel natural.
2 - I know this is Kang Daniel’s debut as an actor and although he was not as bad as some people are saying in the comments, I did feel he was unable to portray stronger emotions. During a certain scene he should have shown a mix of anger, disappointment and sadness, and yet he was just standing there with teary eyes that were probably because of eye drops. Even his voice was too soft for that scene.
3 - As future cops I expected them to be a little smarter in some situations. Just an example. If you have a laptop with crucial video evidence but that laptop has a security feature that stops you from sending the video or making a copy of it and you are not sure who to trust with that laptop, wouldn’t it be common sense to grab your phone and make a video of the video just in case the laptop ends up in the wrong hands and the evidence gets destroyed?? Another option would be using a screen recorder since I think only the video file was protected.
This was just one of the many situations that made me question their ability. I know it’s the writers fault tho. They wanted to drag the plot so it could have the usual 16 episodes.
Yes, it has a lot of funny moments, but starting at the end of episode 10 the focus of the drama shifts and it becomes more serious. The last few episodes will be kind of tearjerkers, and one relevant character will die, so its not all fun. Just a warning in case you dont want to watch anything sad.
Hehe just came from your comment on Pieng Jai Tee Pook Pun. Will give this a try!
When it comes to thai dramas I mostly watch romance dramas too. I think I have only watched 1 or 2 thai dramas that did not have romance or that at least it was not the focus of the drama.

It has to do with a lot of things. Your mood, preferences, the kind of drama, ...
There are some dramas out there that are completely binge-watchable. Usually they are the ones packed with action, thriller dramas, and such. But there are other dramas, like this one, that just become boring and annoying if you try to watch a bunch of episodes in one go.
I usually watch the first few episodes and if I enjoy it, I watch the whole thing, if not, I put it on-hold and watch when I have nothing else to watch.

I am going to be honest. I watched this as it was being subbed and I usually am kinder to dramas I do not binge-watch since it makes it easier to digest them when you watch only a few episodes here and there. I still felt this was not a drama I would re-watch, like I said in my original comment, but at the same time I felt like I should talk about some of its positives compared to other thai dramas, even if it was not exactly my cup of tea.
So, it is not surprising we felt differently about it since we watched it at different times and different paces. If I was to re-watch this today, I would probably feel the same way you did. ^^'
As much as I liked the cast, as someone else said, this felt like a chore to watch. I even started it while it was still airing because I could tell it would not be a good idea to binge-watch. Yet I still kept prioritizing other dramas over this one when deciding what I was going to watch each day.
Probably would have been easier to digest with a 24 episode format.
Might have to drop this one. Doesn't look like nekomeowmeow is gonna translate anymore episodes 🙁
She has released episode 2. I think she is just busy or subbing more slowly for some reason. I decided to just put it on-hold and wait patiently until all episodes are out.
Might not be as bad as some other lakorns but it was still full of flaws.
It was unnecessarily long, predictable, some characters were completely clueless and acted like idiots and the last episode was mostly flashbacks and the reveal of how some things went down but presented very little when it comes to the development of the main lead’s relationship. In fact, the whole drama could have delivered much more when it came to their romance.
I would not say I am disappointed since I did not have big expectations for this but it could have been much better. No wonder the subber put it aside for a few weeks and focused on another project. The last 5 or so episodes were really meh.
Subtitles are available till episode 20 on myasiantv.cc after that they are not subbed
I know. And it has been like that for years, which is exactly why I am giving up on this one. Nothing more frustrating than a drama that gets subbed until almost the end and then the subs just stop.
The first 2 episodes did not convince me, except for some funny scenes in ep 2. I will give it a second chance and wait for the next week’s episodes. Maybe it will get better.
So, yeah the plot itself was far from good or different. It was full of clichés and unrealistic situations. I…
hahaha Makes sense. I usually either skip entire episodes just to get it over with or put it on-hold for a long time too. This one was just too much when it came to murder attempts.
A romantic comedy where the female lead is the smart, calm and composed one and the male lead is the dumb childish one. It is far from being amazing but it is probably worth watching once. The ending was nothing special, but I did not expect it to be anyway.
For me this was a 6.5 since anything I rate 7 and over is something I would re-watch and I don’t think I would re-watch this one. Otherwise I would have given it a 7/10.
So correct. I'm doing the same. It's frustrating since we're on the home stretch, I just hope what's going on…
Exactly. I keep pushing through for the moments Dan Dan had with the kids and her journey to become an independent woman that knows what she wants and will fight for it even if her family disagrees. These moments are what keep me here even when I have to deal with Sa Ra.
While many gave up, I have been holding on and kept watching it every week no matter how much nonsense I had to deal with. But now, with the pregnancy scheme, that I just happened to predict about a month ago, and knowing that both the actress that plays DD and the actress that plays her stepmother tested positive for COVID, I think it is a good time to put this on-hold.
I don’t know when they will resume filming so I might as well stop right here and wait until all the episodes air to rage-watch...hum...I mean, binge-watch. ^^'
Since no one is talking about this, I will try to explain without spoilers.
So, Woo Jin is a celebrity that decides to take a break from everything because some years ago he got into a huge accident in which his girlfriend died. Because he has hyperthymesia, everywhere he goes where he previously went with his girlfriend or anything that is familiar at all can trigger memories that to him are painful since she is gone.
Do Hae Soo was also in an accident, which I wont go too much into detail, and because of that accident, she loses her memories after about a month, as she describes it, after a month her memories reset and go back 5 years.
These 2 come across each other and she slowly helps him heal while he also helps her in many situations.
The story itself, although cliché, is not that bad. The huge problem, in my opinion, is that each episode is only 10 minutes long and about half of that is used for the intro and outro songs, so each episode is really just about 5 minutes long and it still has a lot of flashbacks and supporting characters being on screen. And because of that, there was not enough time for the main leads to actually develop a relationship. It felt like they helped each other out and developed a friendship, then some secrets were revealed and then it ended, just like that.
It is implied that they like each other, or would it be more accurate to say that he likes her?? (cant explain without spoiling the ending), but they dont actually date, there are no confessions or anything like that.
So if you are looking for a short romance, this might not be for you. It’s more about healing, and even that is not well-developed because of how short this is. If you cut out the intro and outro and add everything together, it is about as long as a movie, and not one of those 2 hour long movies.
Well, I hope my randomly put together sentences (its 3 am ^^') somehow help you decide if you want to watch this or not.
