I am surprised such a short drama was able to portray a very serious issue, while also giving us funny and sweet moments. The ending tho...I need a 2nd season. I know this is based on a webtoon but I want to actually watch these actors again.

This felt like watching the recap of a very bad soap opera. But I guess if you have nothing else to watch...this is better than nothing.

It has been a long time since I watched it but I think it was not a bad drama per say, it is just that the last few episodes were off and so was the ending.

It definitely is but when the actor said "I’m out" they had to find a way to remove his character. They could have done it better tho.

The drama is not that bad. There are some dumb characters like Mi Gu and some annoying plot lines and a little bit of dragging like any other Chinese drama. Up until around ep 20 it was good enough, after that it became a little messy and more dramatic but overall it is not as bad as a lot of people are making it.

I personally gave it a 6.5 just because I consider any drama I rated 7 and up to be re-watchable and this one is just too long for me to feel like re-watching it. But for a one time watch it is not THAT bad.

Just give it a try and decide for yourself.

I was so surprised by how good the start was. It did not even feel like one of those cliché overly dramatic daily dramas, but then it went downhill around the time they became adults.

Yeah, I dont think they originally intended for the drama to end this way but the channel decided to cut over 10 hours worth of footage so a lot of things were not addressed and the ending was not satisfying. It felt like watching one of those tv series that are suddenly cancelled. :(

I have found that with some older dramas, if I have watched them around the time they aired and liked them, I will probably re-watch them just like you did. But this one I watched back in 2017, which was already 7 years after it had aired, and that might have been why I was not that impressed. The drama felt old and cliché back then.

But the ones I do like, no matter how old they are, I will definitely re-watch. I guess it is because these dramas make us feel nostalgic so we will keep watching them no matter how many years it has been.

I currently have a lot of dramas on my lists, but I might give this one another chance when I dont know what to watch.

It was almost like there was one writer at first, then someone replaced him and changed the direction of the story and then the first writer came back and said Nope, I am going back to what I previously intended no matter how forced the story and characters’ actions will feel, even if it ruins the whole drama.

I am not sure about that since I skipped a lot, but I think with the first guy it was only a few months, maybe half a year. With the other guy I am under the impression they stayed together for quite a long time, a few years at least. And the rest of the time she was single.

From what I understood, she liked the ML pretty early on but at the time he had no interest in her, at least not in a romantic way so she just moved on to the next man. Somewhere along the way he started liking her but she either did not realise it or did not care cause she went on to date someone else.

The "love" in this drama felt very superficial and I am not sure the FL ever loved any of them. It felt more like she liked something about them and just decided to settle down for that feeling or stability.

The first is also historical, while the second happens in the modern day. Surprisingly I liked the second better. It had a lot of funny moments and the romance was also pretty good.

She stays with him until the later episodes and they breakup somewhere between episode 35-40. I cant remember exactly since it has been almost a month and I skipped a lot of scenes. But I remember it was very close to the end when they broke up and she spent very little time with the ML as a couple. So all those years since she met the ML they never dated up until the end which happens in the present time.

The first episode starts with a scene of them but that scene only happens in the present time in either ep 40 or 41. I dont know if that was the clip that you were talking about.

Like I said, about 40 episodes out of the 41 she was in a relationship with someone, with each one it was somewhere between 10-15 episodes, not sure, but the drama is mainly about her romance with the other men and only in the last episode does she get together with the ML.

Why are we investing our time watching her be with someone that is not the one who she is going to end up with and then get not even 2 episodes worth of her with the ML?

So if you want to watch for the romance, you might want to skip on this one. It is probably not worth your time.

I really dont think it was a smart decision to cut the drama short but unfortunately we cant do anything about it other than complain. Sigh

Last 15 mins of episode 15, which turns out to be the last episode.

It is pretty obvious this was cut short and because of that the story and character development suffered greatly. I think this was originally supposed to be 22 episodes long or something like that.

That means that 7 eps, which amounts to about 10 h and 30 mins, were simply removed. A LOT would have happened in that time.

2 of the most noticeable issues with all these scenes being removed are:

1 - There was virtually no character development for the male lead and we were not given enough time to go from "he is a complete jerk" to "he is kinda likable";

2 - There was no development shown in the relationship between the second leads. One moment the sml liked the fml, the other moment he was getting together with the sister because hey, this is the last episode so we gotta wrap up things.

There were obviously more issues, but these 2 were the ones that really ruined the drama as a whole.

Maybe procedure was not the right word. I meant they use a lot of face cream to achieve a whiter look. I know I have read about people using these creams that are actually supposed to make your skin whiter.

But anyway, my point was that in Thailand it is common for people to have a darker skin tone compared to China, Japan and Korea for example. So I see no problem with a person painting their face to disguise as someone else. It is not like she pulled a black face. At most she looks like she used makeup that was not the right skin tone for her.

Yeah. There is still a chance of them making a 4th season. but other than that I cannot think what else they can add to the story to keep it going that will not be more of the same. I will still watch it tho. XD

I think it will depend on how well this season did compared to the other 2 and the availability of the actors. Both main leads have been in several other dramas recently so they wont be as available as they were back in 2017 or even 2018. Just this month I have watched 2 other dramas with the actress that plays the Female Lead here.

I dont think I will be able to watch a daily drama for a while. I was traumatized by this one. Even the villain was not well written yet most people either knew she was the villain and did nothing about it or they did not know even tho it was so obvious. And when she laughed...omg, I would die inside. I think even the actress was embarrassed to have to play such a character.

I feel like the writer was possessed by 3 different demons and they all wanted the story to go in a different direction. lol
