This comment made me crack. I wish I had read it a few days ago. Dont ever mark it as a spoiler. This is definitely for the good of our fellow drama watchers out there. STAY AWAY from this drama!

Exactly. There is nothing that makes me want to rate a drama below 5 like one that was good at some point or had potential but was completely ruined and had my hopes crushed.

I liked the start and some parts of it so I thought 1 would be unfair. But then I thought about the people who might end up watching this in the future and decided to rate it 1 too so this can have a low enough rating that people will think twice before watching. I am just looking out for my fellow drama watchers. lol

Yeah, I waited too. Except my dumb brain forgot do check the comments before starting the drama and now I am filled with deep regret. Sigh

If that was the message they wanted us to get, they failed miserably the moment they forced her into a marriage she did not want. She walked the aisle like she was walking to her own funeral. And the fact they made him die right there too. How can she ever celebrate her wedding anniversary without thinking about him? She will never be able to be fully happy even if she puts a smile on her face. It would have been better to send her abroad to study and then 10-15 years later when the pain is dormant, find another person to love.

These writers really made a fool of us.

To say I am angry is an understatement. I watch hundreds of dramas per year and it has been at least 2-3 years since I last felt like throwing my pc against the wall after finishing a drama.

This drama had such a great start and although I knew with 120 episodes sooner or later things would go south I did not expect what was coming.

The drama actually felt like it was written by 3 different people at 3 different points and all of them wanted to go on a different direction. I was annoyed when the first change in direction happened but I soon learned to accept it and even enjoy it, then in the last 20 episodes the direction changed again, this time in a way that I was like OH NO, OH NO, NO WAY, HELL NO....yup, that was my reaction around the 100 episode mark once I realized where things were going.

Like, and I am sorry if you consider this a spoiler, if you want to go in a tragic direction, at least make the drama have some logic and leave the viewers amazed at how well written the plot was, dont just play them like idiots and leave them so angry that they feel like tracking you down. Sigh

This drama was a huge disappointment. I wish I had read the spoilers because now I feel like it was a waste of time. It did not accomplish anything. Most of the things I wanted to happen never happened and the ones I did not want to happen were shoved down my throat.

To describe this drama using food terms:

This was NOT a "good supper" at all. I felt like I was served what looked like a nice plate of food, but after a few hours ended up in the hospital with food poisoning.

You’re probably right. My comment was about the impression I had of her after watching the first episode so it probably changed after. There is some yelling at home when we are angry, its normal. I just think when there are kids involved, yelling should be avoided as it can impact them negatively. But no one is perfect so I guess it is not weird she lost her cool sometimes.

Like I said, I watched this one over 2 years ago so its hard for me to understand your point since I dont remember what this drama was even about. XD

But anyway, I never said I dropped it. I actually completed it. I felt like dropping it after the first episode but since jdramas are not that long and I hate leaving things unfinished, I kept watching.

I guess what I did understand from your comment is that you dont think the issue is with her character but that it is a cultural thing. Correct me if Im wrong.

Yeah. Welcome to the club. This one has been accumulating dust on my on-hold list since when I joined MDL back in 2017. We are now in 2021. It has been over 4 years and I am still waiting and hoping I will be able to watch it some day. Sigh

Nah. It’s her father. He treats her like trash because he believes she is not his daughter. Although we all can guess pretty early on that he IS in fact her father, it is only revealed to him like in the second last episode but then other stuff happens and we never get to see him say sorry to his daughter. Kind of frustrating.

It has been over 2 years since I watched this drama so I cannot really remember the plot anymore. But I stand by my opinion that parents should not yell, much less hit their children. They should not let their children do whatever they want and be rude to adults either. It is best to explain to them why something is wrong and let them use their own judgement next time. That will be how they will grow up to be responsible adults. Yelling at them will let them know they messed up but will not teach them WHY so they can fix it. It will also make them scared, not want to share anything with their parent or even end up hating them.

Most of us that have been waiting for this drama to be subbed for years already know about this playlist. The problem is it has never been subbed past ep 10 and even the ones that were subbed had huge chunks with missing subs.

Yeah, last time I checked was in 2019. It has been 2 whole years and not one single new episode has been subbed. I am about to give up.

I think some years ago she used to do more Channel 3 lakorns but she changed to Channel 7 for some reason. I remember at some point there were no kisses or only fake kisses in Channel 3 lakorns, but nowadays they can put out some really good ones. I also prefer quality over quantity in everything in life, starting with food. XD

I only watched for them too. I never watched the original so I did not care how close this version was to the first one.

What I did not like is how it was pretty obvious the only reason she turned to the SML was because the writers knew they could not keep the main lead in the story for long as he actor wanted out. I could tell the writers originally intended for her to end up with SH and then were forced to change the direction of the story.

But I am glad they at least made her fall in love for him pretty early on and not just change her heart near the end like I have seen in other dramas. For me, SH and the crazy woman could have walked out a lot sooner. All I cared about was JE & JM and they were the only reason I kept watching this train wreck. XD

The start was interesting but before it even reached the half way point it started to become like any other Chinese drama, full of clichés, overly dramatic, and so on. It became boring and I found myself skipping a lot. The ending was not satisfying either. There was one specific person I had been waiting the entire drama to find out what almost everyone else knew so his sorry a** could beg for the FL forgiveness, but nope, that never happened. Thank you writers for leaving me not only unsatisfied with the ending but also frustrated that some things were glossed over.

But like I said, it had a good start so there were some bits of it I enjoyed. It is a shame that this drama did not reach its full potential.

I did not find it as interesting as S1 & S2, but I did miss this couple so it felt like getting some fan service.

From the way this season ended I dont think there will be a 4th season, but who knows. For me I think its enough and any more seasons will be boring and add to the already confusing plot with all the parallel worlds.

So I guess I would like to see them together in another historical drama where they have as much chemistry as they have here.
