I think I'm going to give this drama a hard-pass; it was a heinous thing to catch up with, "no thanks to the sp-called…
Ikr? I have this on my on-hold list because I refuse to watch with subs of such low quality. I will watch it in the future if someone fixes the subs, otherwise I guess I will have to skip on this one.
This is the kind of drama you have to be in a particular mood to be able to watch. It is slow paced as you would expect from this kind of plot, but it is also very boring, full of clichés and unnecessary drama. It feels like a drama I would have watched 10 years ago. You have everything here from car accidents, to being in prison, not having parents approval, blindness, being apart for years, Alzheimer, etc. I am wondering how they forgot to add kidnapping to the list.
Anyway, it made me cry not because the drama was good, but because it portrays one of the worst diseases in my opinion. Not being able to remember who you are and not being able to recognize the people you love got to be one of the worst things that could happen to someone. Like being blind for most of her childhood was not enough, so the writers decided to add early Alzheimer's to spice things up. SMH
You probably misread, it shows the proper Older Man/Younger Woman tag for me.
It shows ALL possible tags. That is what the vote or add tags is for...to add a tag that has yet to be added. So no, there is no older woman/younger man tag added to this drama.
The problem with this drama is that the script feels like it was written back in 2010. It is full of clichés, exaggerated actions and dramatic events. The ending was also rushed.
So watch it if you have nothing else to watch, but dont expect too much from this one.
14 years is fine. It makes the story more realistic considering the period during which it takes place.
True, for a historical drama it is a completely normal age gap. But I guess they shortened the difference since viewers tend to pick on the little things.
Honestly, I wish they focused less on the supporting couples as I find it boring when other characters take too much screen time. But at the same time I liked how the drama was realistic and had characters that were flawed but not the type you hate. The romance between the main leads was slow paced but nice and so was the ending.
So overall it is a good drama but it did get boring here and there so I probably wont re-watch it anytime soon.
I don’t know how I feel about a whole new cast. I was really hoping for the one and only cast.
At least they kept the same main leads. When I see a sequel with different main leads I dont even give it a chance, especially if I just finished watching the first season and remember their faces very well. It just doesnt feel like the same story or same characters anymore.
Wish I knew about this sequel before watching One and Only. But at least it is airing soon....imagine if it aired next year or something. I would feel so frustrated.
I saw alot of people asking about their age in the novel. The age difference between Eleven and Zhou Sheng Chen…
In the drama I remember him saying "I’m not even 10 years your senior". So I guess they changed it a bit and made him like 8 or 9 years older than her instead.
Wow, just wow. I really cant get away from these damned Chinese writers. This is only 24 episodes long but they still managed to slap me with the same kind of ending I fear when I pick up a long Chinese historical drama. I am not saying it was a bad ending, but it definitely was not easy on the eyes. I feel like I just cut a bunch of onions. Sigh
They made me cry so they better give me some sweet romantic scenes in the sequel to make up for it.
I kinda agree with you but I don't think they were trying to give a message of any sorts. The writer, sakamoto…
I guess that makes sense. I just dont like the feeling of watching something that goes nowhere. The entire movie focus on their relationship only for them to end up with other people.
I know in real life there are a lot of people who get into relationships easily and get out of them as easily, but in dramaland I expect the main leads to remain together, unless they have a toxic relationship.
I could write one long detailed comment about this drama like I usually do, but every negative comment down below pretty much sums up my thoughts about this one.
I feel bad for the actors that had to play such boring characters in such a mediocre plot.
Let me know when this gets proper subs. As a language lover I cannot get past the bad subs and focus on the drama so for me bad subs is even worse than having to watch it raw because I will be distracted the entire time and still not understand anything. ^^’
If you like e-sports, have previously or are currently playing league of legends and want good chemistry between the main leads, then this one is definitely for you.
If you are not really into games, you might find it boring since it is heavily focused on gaming.
It is open, since the webtoon it is based on is still ongoing. The romance is also very slight and we should only see some progress around the time the drama ends, which is why it needs a second season or the first season will feel kind of pointless.
I feel like they were trying to teach this super realistic lesson, but instead what I saw is what I see happening with most people out there.
People easily confuse attraction and passion with love. Love is a lot more than that. When something is not new, it just becomes comfortable, that is true with almost everything in life. If you think being in love is always being excited to meet the other person, not having arguments and having a "perfect" relationship, then you will never settle for anyone. Just because you don’t feel as attracted or as excited to be around your partner as you did when you started dating, it does not mean you fell out off love. Just imagine losing that person, like not being able to see them again because they moved to a far away country or died. If that thought scares you...then you definitely still love that person.
With that said, although this was not a bad movie, I felt like the way it ended made it kind of pointless. This is only my opinion, considering my personal view on romantic relationships. You are entitled to your own opinion which could be completely different.
Some people are born without the ability to feel empathy or care for anything other than themselves while some…
Yup, that is exactly who I was talking about. Good thing child murderers are not THAT common that you would think of a different case. There was also the sexual part of the murder that I did not mention previously and that only made this case even more disturbing.
