I started watching this series because it reminded me of my husband and me đź’žI was shocked to read the comments…
Thank you for sharing your story.
I have not started watching yet but I was surprised at how people were overreacting. Its not like they fell in love or got together while she was still a child. There is nothing wrong with them having met before. It is just a meeting. Probably the writers trying to make it seem like they were destined to being together or something along those lines.
Dont get me wrong. I am not trying to hate on the drama but this is honestly how I feel after watching all 4 episodes. I am actually going to put it on hold and watch it all at once when it finishes airing just so I can fast forward since I hate dropping dramas. I am quite disappointed. After reading all the positive comments I was under the impression that even tho there is nothing new to the story that it was still entertaining to watch. Unfortunately, I did not get any enjoyment. I just kept watching hoping it would get better but it didnt.
Oh well, I guess I will put it on hold for now and watch it later. Not sure the female lead will be enough to carry this drama for me but I will give it another chance once it finishes airing.
Wait what controversies? Ive been waiting for this show to come out and then waited for it to get subbed. I was…
Just google Four Men, which was its original name, and you will find that the production was very problematic with people not getting paid and things getting delayed, actors leaving, and so on.
One example is the actress playing the female lead. It was originally a different actress and they had already filmed a lot of scenes when she left and they had to found someone else. I remember there is another actor that also left. Aside from not paying, there were other issues like filming taking longer than what was stated in the contracts the actors signed.
I am sure you will find a lot more information if you search "Four Men".
Friendly advice from a fellow drama watcher - just skip to the last episode. Anything relevant happens there (spoiler:…
Ah, I know that feeling. When you kinda like something in a drama and are afraid to skip important stuff but at the same time are not interested in anything else that is going on and watching the whole thing feels like torture.
Friendly advice from a fellow drama watcher - just skip to the last episode. Anything relevant happens there (spoiler:…
Yeah, I did the same. I had watched until ep 29 and yesterday I just went through the rest of the episodes and it took me like 1 hour to watch 11 episodes.
I do not need subs so don’t know how they are. Is it that bad? If so what a big shame as that script is very…
They are definitely bad. They dont make much sense and sometimes are not even synchronized with what is being said. I could not get past the first 5 minutes of the 1st episode. Hopefully they will fix the subs later.
I'm on ep23 and mostly know how the rest plays out, so can't decide if I wanna even bother finishing it...as much…
Friendly advice from a fellow drama watcher - just skip to the last episode. Anything relevant happens there (spoiler: wedding, child, couples being together).
I am sure there is some other drama out there that is more worthy of your time.
This could have been good and I remember slightly liking it in the beginning. Had they focused solely on the hotel management and the romance between the main leads and I might have liked it but they added way too many characters I could not care less about, focused on the melodramatic part and did not really punish bad behavior.
If this drama was a child and the writer its parent, then the end result would be a spoiled brat that does not have to take responsibility for anything he/she does.
Its 2021, not 2010. This kind of script full of flaws is not so easily forgiven anymore. I dont really recommend it unless you have nothing else to watch, like nothing, not even a movie or a short web drama...then I guess you can waste your time on this one.
How bad are the subs? I really want to watch this after Eternal Love. Oh dear.....
They dont make any sense and some are not even syncronized with what they are saying. It feels like they threw the original text on google translator and then just did ctrl+c, ctrl+v.
I really hope they conclude that storyline between the evil emperor and their child. TBH I am ready for this to…
Yeah. I watched S2 for the plot which I liked to some degree but by S3 I was only watching because of the main couple and the only reason I would watch a 4th season would be for them too since at this point the plot feels old.
I was going to watch this even after knowing how it ends....but the subs are where I draw the line.
Like seriously mgtv, with so many international fans watching on YouTube and with the ad revenue you get you could easily hire someone to translate these dramas. Like, you could hire several people and still not be at a loss. Sigh
Although I dont expect this to get subbed because of all the controversies, let me know if it does end up getting subbed. I would still like to give it a chance.
With all the controversies, no wonder they changed the title of the drama.
The fact that this went under my radar even tho it supposedly aired in June is really weird. Probably the reason why it is not subbed yet. Either people dont know about it or subbers just dont want to pick it up because of how problematic the production of this drama was.
I wont watch without subs, but that you for letting me know so I can keep an eye on it in case it gets subbed in the future.
I honestly thought I would have liked it more than I actually did. There is something about the script that bothers me.
I felt like there was a lot going on and there were a few holes here and there. Like, the bracelet is the most obvious one. It was created to stop a certain thing from happening (trying not to spoil it) but the several times it fell or was taken from her, that problem did not happen even tho she was not wearing it. Almost like the writer forgot about the reason the bracelet was needed to begin with.
And the ending was underwhelming and I felt like they just wanted to wrap up things. I wish they had given more thought to the ending.
With that said, I did enjoy this drama to a certain degree, just not as much as I thought I would. When I read the summary I thought this would be my cup of tea, but it was not as exciting as I expected.
So, its not a bad drama, but it is not amazing either. I still recommend it if you are not sure what to watch next and like time-travel.
is the second half of the drama better then the first half in your opinion? bc if it gets even worse i dont think…
I also liked his little revenge. She deserved it and he did not really overdo it. I also like couples that have a cat and mouse relationship. I would say my preference is someone that can be kind of cold until he falls in love and then becomes sweet but at the same time keeps bugging her and creating some comic relief for us viewers. Plus, a little fighting is healthy, creates intimacy and promotes communication. By fighting, I mean like fighting over who ate the last piece of the cake or who hid the remote kind of thing, not the jealous and controlling, no trust, no respect, violent kind of fighting.
Nana left but they might have used some of the scenes she shot. There is a page for the drama but no episodes. I have also not read any news of it airing. Did you actually watch an episode or just saw the page?
It says on this page that this drama was cancelled. But if it has actually started airing, I have not seen it anywhere, even raw. Where did you watch it?
Although I first started this journey with anime, jdramas are actually the Asian dramas I watch the least. Why? Mostly because of the over the top acting and weird plots.
Obviously this one is pretty weird too, BUT I actually enjoyed it. It touched on very real and very serious subjects. Episode 4 was really hard to watch because we all know that eminent tragedy could have been avoided. And the last episode also pulled at my heartstrings.
I just wish this was longer. I feel like they could have added a few more clients and give more details about the background of the other characters.

I thought it would be my cup of tea but aside from the female lead being an interesting character, I feel like there is nothing else to keep me watching. The execution of the plot feels old and cliché, the other characters are boring and everything happening is quite predictable. There is no suspense or thriller or anything that makes me feel like I cant wait for the next episode.

I am unable to enjoy a drama that does not have proper subs. Its ok to have a mistake here and there, but auto-translations are a BIG NO for me.
I will wait. Maybe Viki or a fansub will pick this drama in the future and give it proper subs.

Also, there were some clichés and behaviors that made it feel like the drama is older, like from 2015. Maybe the plot was written for some time. It does not feel fresh.

So yeah, you are not the only weird one here. xd
