While everyone else below is fighting and taking sides about the 2 fansubs, here I am admiring both of them for even being able to finish subbing such a crappy drama.
Like, seriously, whoever wrote this script must have some real issues. It is hard to make a male lead so unlikable and unredeemable. He felt like a mix of his father who was a drunk violent and jealous husband with the FL’s father who had a bunch of women. How can anyone even stand this kind of person? He could be the most handsome man on Earth... I would still not give him a second look. That is how disgusting his character is.
Like someone else said, a happy ending for this drama would be the female lead kicking him to the curve and get together with a decent man while the ML cries to sleep every night.
I have given this a shot because of NHJ. But, this is really not my cup of tea I cant get past Episode 5. Everyone…
hahah I am about to watch it and saw your comment on top of the comment section. Just finished Tharntawan See Plerng. You can read my comment in case you are considering watching it.
I started it today and ended it today, not because it was so good that I could not wait for the next episode, but because it was so boring that I just wanted to get it over with. So I skipped through the whole thing and only took a few hours to reach the final episode.
If, like me, you have been watching dramas for a long time then you will find the plot boring. There is nothing new. This kind of plot has been done over and over again but most of the dramas with this kind of plot are old, which makes this one feel old too. Also, the main leads, are boring too and Idk if it is the acting or what but I did not feel excited about seeing them on screen. I did not care much for the supporting characters either.
If you are new to thai dramas or have never watched a drama with a similar plot, then you might like it. Otherwise, you will probably find yourself either dropping it or skipping through a lot of scenes.
Exactly, I may have watched many dramas from 2019 until now, but i could barely remember and i liked this one,…
I cant say for sure because I dont remember all the details about the Chinese version, but I think it would be the original just because I found it less frustrating I guess.
The second male lead here seemed to be even more annoying than the one in the Chinese version and the FL seemed to be even less confident and seemed to try less to maintain their relationship compared to the one in the Chinese version.
I will probably re-watch both at some point. I actually gave them the same rating because of what I mentioned in my first comment.
my first Thai drama and wow! I didn't expect much but this is just ridiculously bad. The characters are College…
Thai dramas are very different from Chinese and Korean dramas. I took some time to get into them and I remember not even liking the sound of the language until I got used to it.
If you have watched the Chinese version and watched your first Thai drama just because it was a remake of a drama you liked, then I am not surprised you feel so negatively about this one.
I recommend watching a good Thai drama that has an original plot you have never watched. That way you will have no expectations and might find yourself enjoying it.
If there is a particular genre or trope you like, I might be able to recommend you a Thai drama that fits your taste.
I watched the Chinese version when it aired and since it has been a few years I can analyze this one without directly comparing it to the original.
I am more inclined to like the original but that is because overall I like Chinese dramas over Thai dramas. But from a neutral point of view, I dont think one was better than the other, they were just different.
And I definitely dont recommend watching one right after watching the other or even watching it just because its a remake of a drama you really liked. If you do that, it will be really hard not to compare them and you will most likely see the first one you watched as the better one.
Watch for the fluff and when you dont know what to watch next.
In terms of plot and character writing, this is quite lacking. I feel like the writers did not know exactly what they wanted to do. They had this idea of a male lead suffering from aphasia and female lead that made ice cream that could bring him comfort. But that is about it. After that they did not know what to do with the story.
So the idea was not bad, but the execution was where they failed miserably.
I watched it with my mother and we both loved it but my mother was kind of disappointed at the way it ended. For me, the most important stuff was adressed and I have watched endings that are way more confusing and leave a bunch of questions, but still, a second season would be nice.
At this point tho, I dont think it will happen. It has been 5 years and there is nothing indicating there will be a second season. :(
Like, this was about as long as a movie, so why spend so much time with such frustrating plot lines? I finished it just because it was so short. It started well but went in a direction that I am not only familiar with but also hate.
When I watch short dramas I am looking for some sweet romance, funny scenes, something refreshing, not THIS. Sigh
Although a lot of people are bashing this drama in the comments, I actually really enjoyed it. Sure, it had its flaws, but I am not going over that as I enjoyed the drama for what it was.
I am starting to think Zhao Lu Si is a criteria I must consider when picking a drama from now on. I do not think I have ever dropped any of her dramas and most of them I found entertaining.
Although this is not on the same level as The Romance of Tiger and Rose, it was still entertaining enough. I think watching it while it aired also played a part. It is easier to get bored and find flaws when I binge-watch compared to when I watch only a few episodes each week.
They clicked becauze they both been in another show together Military Arsenal Academy.
I have already watched that drama when it aired, in 2019. I did not remember the ML here was also there. I remembered the FL here being the FL in MAA together with Xu Kai, but did not remember the supporting characters since it has been 2 years already.
I imagine that having previously worked together and having a good relationship off screen makes their job easier.
Once Li Man showed up the enjoyment I had from the drama gradually went down, and after having the main leads…
How far did you watch? If you want I can give you a short summary of what happens in the episodes you did not watch just so you dont have that feeling of leaving something unfinished.
I hate dropping dramas. When a drama is really boring or frustrating me I will skip to the last episode just to get some closure.
Once Li Man showed up the enjoyment I had from the drama gradually went down, and after having the main leads…
No, he did not. Omg, if he did I would not even bother finishing the drama. But he kept leaving his wife at home and meeting alone with Li Man, creating a bunch of misunderstandings, which was exactly what Li Man wanted. He also stood up for her several times in front of his wife and other people. He was just a complete idiot that could not see what a snake she was until almost the ending and when it was almost too late.

I know. Some Thai dramas have very loud second female leads and let me tell you, there is nothing more annoying than a woman yelling in Thai. XD
So, what are some of your favorite dramas? Maybe I can recommend you a Thai drama with the same vibe.

Well, if you are ok with skipping around once it gets boring, I think it’s worth watching for the main leads and their romance.
