Yeah, humans are very complex. There are some really nice selfless people out there, but there also people who do things that are so evil that we, as normal human beings, are unable to comprehend.
the plot is so draggy i have to say, but feel bad for Nabi :
Some people are born without the ability to feel empathy or care for anything other than themselves while some people never become evil no matter how much stuff they go through. So although I agree the environment surrounding a person plays a huge role, it is not everything. Some people are born that way and become murders no matter how happy of a family life they had and even if they never suffered any injustice.
Just recently I watched a video about this guy who was super close to his younger sister who was only 4. One day he just killed her in a very brutal way while he was still a kid himself. Turns out he was a psychopath and was wearing a mask the entire time. He never loved his sister, his mother or anyone else. He was born unable to feel empathy. There was nothing that triggered him to do it. He had a happy family life, in fact he was the favorite kid out of the 2, he had everything he wanted. One day he just decided to kill his sister, just like that. He also tried to kill his mother one of the times she visited him in prison.
This could have been a super interesting drama...but it had way too many flaws. It was overly dramatic, especially in the second half. The writers tried to make all the drama easier to swallow by adding "comedy", but 95% of it were poop/fart jokes that were far from funny. Honestly, they were in every episode and in some episodes they happened several times. Never saw a drama mention sh*t this much.
And another issue I found was that the plot lacked any sort of logic and had an ending that was far from decent. It was quite bad to be honest.
This first few episodes were interesting, but it just went downhill from there. So unless you have nothing better to watch, you might want to skip this one.
Your comment summed up exactly how I felt about this drama though I'd disagree about T dramas in general. But…
Yeah, there have been Taiwanese dramas I really liked. I can remember 2 or 3 that were actually in my top favorite dramas. But at the time I left this comment the Taiwanese dramas I was watching did not leave a deep impression so I thought it might be Taiwanese dramas in general when it was actually just a few that were not that interesting.
I agree that they should have given more explanations to what happened in first episodes. Maybe it was clear for…
Yeah, I had no idea about all these things, even the age gap I only found out after I finished watching. He looks a lot more mature. I thought he would be at least 25, but he is only 21. What is in his contract? A no kissing clause or something along those lines?
The only thing I can agree with is the weird bird scene, so weird hahahaha could've found many ways to hide a…
You said a lot so I dont even know where to start. lol
So, for the romance part, I know she is young, but when that fake kiss happens she has been through a lot and is supposed to be a lot more mature since by then she had gone through a lot of character development. Like I said in reply to another comment, it is the fake kiss that bothered me. I would rather there was no kiss at all than what they did.
About the other couple, it was the fact they spent more time together and their bond felt stronger and the romance more real. For the main couple is was the ML liking her all along while she only realised her feelings later on. They also spent a lot of time apart so I felt like their romance was not as much as it could have been so I found myself rooting for the second couple (the princess and the soldier) since there was not much going on for the main leads.
When I mentioned I was not satisfied with the explanation they gave us, I did not meant how she went out for revenge. I meant how the uncle took the throne and her mother killed herself when there was no need to, it all felt very convenient but lacking logic and the wow factor was missing. Idk how to explain, I just wasnt impressed by how that part of the plot was handled. It was just the way I felt.

Yeah, I also wish there was more romance and kiss scenes. What I meant is if they are going to give us this kind of kiss scene, then I would rather have none. For me there is no point to doing a fake kiss. You either do it properly or you dont. Seems kind of harsh but that is how I feel about kiss scenes. lol
Leo has kissed exactly nobody, in his 17 years of acting. He has no kiss preference.The manhua this is based on,…
Lol, he looks so shy around her. I guess he might be considerate since she is older so he wants to be respectful. Thank you for sharing the video. The bts are so cute.

Yeah. I would rather have no kiss at all than what they did. It is good that you do not completely agree with me. Because of different views I was able to find out this drama was not even supposed to have a focus on romance. I had no idea and started watching with the wrong expectations. I wish I could re-watch it with a new set of eyes. Maybe a few years from now.

A good actor is able to do all kinds of different roles. The fact he did so well here even tho it is different from his usual roles shows how much potential he has. I will definitely keep an eye for his future dramas.

Dont get me wrong, I prefer a good plot with slow paced romance than a drama with a lot of kisses but that has no essence. I have never read the manhua and when I started watching I only knew this was supposed to have romance, and it did and I was ok with them taking things slowly. But because I was under the impression this was supposed to have some focus on romance, I was disappointed when it didnt focus on it as much as I expected. Even the princess seemed to have more romantic scenes than the FL. I guess it was because they tried to add an element that was not originally supposed to be there.
Btw, I have watched all the dramas you have mentioned. I have watched quite a lot of dramas in different genres. As for Eternal Love, you are right, definitely top on the list when it comes to skinship and probably the first Chinese drama I watched with so many kisses. I liked that one more for the comedy part and how refreshing it was because at the time there was nothing like it. I like different genres and watch depending on my mood. Sometimes I look for a more serious story that has a good development, other times I want something less complex just to pass time.
This drama is definitely a good one and I am sure I would have enjoyed it more had I not have gone into it with the wrong expectations.

I was actually checking his past dramas since I liked his acting and it seems he rarely plays characters in dramas that have romance. I was surprised cause he did really well in this drama when it came to showing his character’s feelings for the FL.
I liked the character development the FL had, I liked the ML, I liked the second couple, I liked other things about the drama, BUT... I felt like it never reached its full potential. For one, I was not satisfied with the explanation they gave us for the whole thing that happened in the beginning and that made the FL seek revenge. And more than anything, I was quite disappointed with the romance between the main leads. Any other couple seemed to have more romance than them. There was 1 kiss the entire drama and it was a fake kiss with a bunch of distractions to make us forget how the actors did not even actually kiss. I am not sure why, as far as I know neither of the actors have a no kiss clause in their contract.
Anyway, it is a good drama, but not as good as it could have been.
I would still recommend it if you like historical dramas and character development. I really wanted to recommend it for the romance too, but the ML carried the whole romance part and the FL just happened to be there. I usually dont pay much attention to the second couple, but here the second couple kind of stole the show in terms of romance.
After reading so many of your comments throughout the comment section of this drama, I had to go back and re-watch…
No worries. I did like this drama and I know when you enjoy a drama it is easy to become biased. You probably wanted to defend it because you were unable to see anything wrong with it at the time. As much as I loved this drama, the way we were shown those scenes definitely had "rape" written all over it. Since so much of the scene was left to our imagination, its normal that some people imagined the worse while others thought it was not THAT serious.
Yaya and Nadech probably did not agree with that scene either but they were playing their roles. In real life, if Nadech did that to Yaya, I am sure she would kick him through the window. lol
Anyway, what you did with deleting the comments and taking the time replying means you are a humble person who is willing to learn with their mistakes. That is great. Not many people are able to do that. So you also have my respect. ^^
I found you again ....I started this drama because of what you wrote ... usually you say good point and criticism…
Hello again. XD This drama definitely has flaws too, but if a drama leaves me with an overall good feeling when I finish watching, I tend to focus on the good things when I comment about it.
The same thing happens when a drama leaves me angry or disappointed. In that case I am more inclined to rant in the comment section. ^^’
This title is just one of those titles they don't actually translate from the original language. They made up…
Probably. I think it is ok to not have a literal translations as it might not sound natural, but the meaning of the title should not be lost in translation. I see this happen a lot with foreign movies when they air in my country. The titles are completely different even when a literal translation would sound natural in my language. Sigh
The gaming part was kind of cringe for me...I love gaming in real life but I find the portrayal of it in dramas to be cringe, same reason why I never liked Love O2O...and also because the actress always had the same expression on her face. I also skipped a lot of Shan Shan scenes and felt the drama would have been better if it had less episodes. It kind of dragged a little bit.
With that said, this was definitely a good drama that I enjoyed watching. Now that I have pointed out the not so good things about it, I will go into the things I liked:
- several clichés were avoided, starting by how the female lead is the one who is super successful and unachievable and the male lead is the one chasing after her like a puppy;
- their chemistry is really good, so much so that I would not be surprised if the actors came out with a statement saying they are dating; >.<
- the balance between the fluffy romance and her work and his studies is also good. We never get tired of one or the other because after an episode packed with romantic scenes we will get an episode of them going through hardships while trying to achieve their goals...all while supporting each other;
- there is no overly dramatic stuff here and no crazy second leads trying to split them apart. The most dramatic part revolved around Shan Shan;
- and there is probably more I could say but I dont want to take it into the point of spoiling the drama for you, so enjoy.
