Yeah, I am also wondering that. The idea was interesting but the execution was terrible, the editing was chopped, the acting was also below average and I suspect they had a low budget. This should have been a drama to flesh out all the sub-plots. Condensing this kind of story into a movie just doesnt work.

I tried watching, its a different drama.

I am not saying this does not happen in other c-dramas. But the way you are justifying this drama’s flaws is almost like you are saying its ok for this drama to be bad because there are other dramas that are also bad.

I have watched many c-dramas and there are so many that do not have these issues so I cant just put this one together with the good ones and pretend these flaws do not exist.

So about your points, they dont justify what I said previously.

2 - There are many c-dramas with well-written characters that are either consistent throughout the drama or have character development. In this one neither happens, the FL is just a genius one second and an idiot the next.

3 - In the beginning yes, but like I said, she is the one being favored by the emperor, not the woman making clothes so it does not make sense for her to be able to do whatever she wants even after the concubine loses favor. Also, women have way less power in the palace, a Prime Minister for example would have more power than a concubine, some were even able to force the Emperor to make decisions in their favor. So its just not realistic for the villain in this drama to be able to pull so many strings.

4 - Open endings, tragic endings and rushed endings yes...but an ending that feels like the drama had to suddenly be cut short - no, it does not happen that often.

THANK GOD I read the spoilers. I was going to start watching this today since it is finally completely subbed and I have been waiting to binge-watch. But I was put off by the fact that the cast showed so many main characters. I know when there are several main characters they steal screen time/make things complicated.

So I decided to read the comments to find out more about their relationships since synopsis are not very accurate and OH MY....I AM OUT. I am already angry because of what I read, imagine if I had taken the time to watch this. Idk why they didnt add an infidelity tag up there, that alone would have been a red flag for me.

I have watched the second you mentioned and it was really hard for me to watch since I love cats and have 5 at home that are like family. I was not surprised how he went from torturing animals to what he did next.

The subs are probably taken from the YouTube channel and there should be something about them being automatic translations in either the description or a pinned comment.

ALS is a terrible illness. I have come across a lot of dramas/movies and YouTube videos about it and I always end up crying buckets because of how bad I feel for people who have ALS and their family and friends.

There is no cure and the person slowly loses the ability to do things we take for granted like walking, grabbing stuff, eating, ... In the last stage the person is not even able to speak or move at all. Its like being stuck inside your own body...must be awful to feel that powerless. T T

2 - There is no such thing as half stupid or half smart, you are either smart, stupid or have an average intelligence. But the writers tried to portray the FL as smart and then the next moment she was doing something extremely stupid. They should have just portrayed her as having an average IQ for some consistency.

3 - Concubine Yang herself is not supposed to be that powerful, and she only has her back up...she is not her. Also, I finished this drama a while ago but I think even after the concubine falls from grace the woman is still able to command people at will.

4 - Please, do finish first and then come back to tell me what you thought about the ending.

One of the messiest daily dramas I have ever watched. The writer definitely did not know where he/she wanted to go with the story and just kept adding/removing stuff and characters randomly.

The most obvious flaw is one that has already been discussed several times - the ML simply becomes a supporting character and between eps 70-80 his character just leaves and never comes back. That was supposed to be the ML. And they just removed his character like he was some evil supporting character that has already played his role and is not needed anymore.

I honestly kept watching for the romance between Ji Eun and Jung Min and because I was out of dramas to watch.

I dropped DOTS, but I watched this one until the end even tho it has a lot more episodes. I think both the medical part and the romance here are better.

I am very confused about how I feel about this drama. Sometimes I found it interesting, other times I felt it was dragging and the plot had no clear direction.

Overall it left me with a good feeling as I liked how the FL was kind, professional and knew how to handle tough situations and at the same time was humble and was not looking for recognition, instead she just wanted to save people...the ML was similar, although he was a little more ambitious in his work compared to her, his priority was always to save people.

Their romance was very nice to watch as they both had a really different personality from the usual main leads and I liked how they trusted each other and did not let their busy lifestyle affect their relationship. The supporting characters and the other 2 couples were also interesting. The ML’s sister was the best...no one dared to mess with her or people close to her. XD

I also liked most of the situations in the hospital that showed how the FL developed as both a doctor and as a person. I have a feeling the writers were not sure if they wanted to focus on that or on the romance which is probably why I found the drama to be inconsistent at times.

With that said, this was still one of the best medical dramas I have watched in a while.

This is kind of cliché and unrealistic BUT if you are looking for something sweet with a lot of romantic scenes and not too much drama....then you might want to give this one a try.

Its not a bad drama. But if you are looking specifically for romance then you will be skipping 95% of the scenes. And like I said the ML and his love die at the end so...definitely dont watch for the romance or you will feel extremely frustrated.
