Title Mother to Be
it's available in Taiwan, but has no sub
I know this is a little bit out of context but be careful with that vpn.

The reason its free and has so many locations available is because users use each others ip to access the content they want. That means while you are watching dramas with someone’s ip, someone could be sharing child porn or doing other illegal stuff using yours and when the police investigates they will trace it back to you and you could get into serious trouble. Of course after a detailed investigation they would figure out it was not you, but is that one drama worth all the headaches you would get if the police came to your door to arrest you?

I used hola vpn myself for a few minutes to try and watch Miss S which was only available on SBS Australia...but I felt something was off and after doing a quick search on that vpn I found a lot of red flags.

If you can, a better option is to buy express vpn or another trustworthy vpn and ask for a refund before the 30 days are up. That was what I did so I could watch Miss S.

Dont be offended or think I am telling you what you should do, this is just friendly advice. I felt I had the obligation to warn you about the risks.

Although the premise was nothing new, this had a pretty good first half. I was actually invested in the drama....BUT for some reason the second half felt like there was not plot, no direction, just full of cute and dramatic filler scenes and flashbacks. It was almost as if the writers just wanted to keep the story going so they invited the actors to film extra scenes that were all packed in the second half.

So, if you want something cute for when you have nothing else to watch, I still recommend this drama, but be prepared to skip a lot of scenes later on as you will feel there is not much happening.

So, yeah the plot itself was far from good or different. It was full of clichés and unrealistic situations. I…
You’re welcome! Glad I could help.

It's predictable until Junwoo reveal himself. Episode 4 to onward is such a lit !
I thought that too for a second but when it did not happen I knew something was off about him.

I actually guessed that. My sister started watching before me and I was watching episode 3 the part before her father died and she came to my room and asked me if I had figured out who the main villain was. And I answered Junwoon?

I reached that conclusion because of his behaviour. A person like him would never work for a corrupt law firm and not feel bad about what they were doing to innocent people...unless that was not his true face. There was just something about him that felt off so I was not surprised at all when the factory scene at the end of episode 4 happened.

But his character is still quite unpredictable. I feel like he could snap at anytime and just kill someone with his bare hands. He has been very close to doing it to his brother.

I felt the same way! Episode 3 and 4 were when I became hooked! I almost dropped the drama at first as well, but…
Yeah. It definitely picked the pace after episode 3 and it just keeps getting better.

I agree. I dropped it after 2 eps and if I hadn't seen an interesting clips on YT from other eps, I never would've…
Yeah. I dont know if it was for the same reason but for me it was the FL working for the corrupt people and also there was not much going on in the first 2 episodes. I think the pace picked up after episode 3 and it just kept getting more and more interesting after that.

I like the fact that they keep winning the battles. In most dramas we have to see the main leads losing all battles until they finally win the war against the villains in the end. But here they keep outsmarting the villains and winning the battles which makes it a lot more interesting to watch. Their teamwork is really good and the comedic and romantic moments do not overpower the criminal/law element and just add to the story. So far it seems like a well-balanced drama.

Thank you for not giving up to this drama!
Yeah, I am glad I didnt. I have learned with time that I should always give a chance to a drama so I usually watch the first 2-3 episodes for shorter dramas and 10-15 for long Chinese dramas before I decide if its worth watching.

Thankfully the turning point for this drama came at the end of episode 3 so it was right before I decided to drop it. Had it happened in episode 4 and I might have not kept watching.

I almost dropped it after watching the first 2-3 episodes.

1 anti-hero is fine but I felt there were too many and I especially hated how the female lead was protecting the corrupt rich people and stopping the innocent from getting justice. I legit thought to myself: "she needs a wake-up call, she needs to fall to learn how hard it can be to stand up. If that does not happen, I think I will drop this drama." ....Then episode 3 happened.

After that I started liking the next episodes more and more and now I regret not waiting for this to finish airing before watching.

This is a very well-written drama. It has just enough of each genre and the story is predictable enough that it does not leave you confused but at the same time you only know some things when it is the right time. I cannot wait to watch the next episodes.

I don’t blame you at all—but what makes me cry is that such a good drama is going completely under the radar…
I actually worked in anime subbing translating from English to my native language. It was many years ago, I was still a teenager. I am now 27 years old so the subbing process might be a little easier now but I believe it still takes a lot of time to sub. In one episode you have hundreds of sentences that have not only to be translated but also timed perfectly.

It is definitely not an easy job and seeing so many fans doing it voluntarily is something everyone should be grateful for...yet you always find people complaining here and there. Sigh

Yeah. I have worked in subbing many years ago and it is very time consuming, especially the timing part. It can take up to 6 hours to complete one single episode.
On Really Meet Love That Day Mar 17, 2021
Let me know when this gets proper subs and not auto-translated ones.

I cannot focus on the drama when the subs make no sense. Dont judge me. lol

P.S. - As I commented a month ago, the title makes me want to cry...so I was not surprised when I found out the subs were not human translations. I think even the title is the result of a Google translation. RIP

I have yet to finish this as its dragging from the mid episode
Yeah, I dont remember the plot since I watched this over 2 years ago but judging from my comment it was probably extremely draggy but at the same time I kept watching just to know where things were going.

As an overweight person who is currently losing weight, I was not really bothered by it. I think they were trying…
Yeah, at my heaviest I was near 100kg and my hands never looked like pig trotters. LOL

Right now I am a little under 84kg. Had to change some habits because of health issues so now I do intermittent fasting, eat twice a day and try to eat low carb (when possible cause I love toast, pasta, pizza, cake, everything with carbs RIP). I also drink a lot of tea instead of juice and soda.

I dont exercise much and spend almost the entire day laying down and have consistently been losing weight for months. I do intend to start exercising more regularly....some day.

I don't agree with your comment about recent jdramas seemingly looking like soft-porn at all, makes me curious…
Yeah, I have actually worked in fansubing many years ago and it takes a long time to sub one episode. The timing part is specially time consuming. 1 episode can take up to 6 hours to have the subs ready.

So I respect the work of subbers a lot and cannot stand when people try to demand things from them like to sub faster or to sub a certain drama and also sharing and re-uploading the episodes.

Some people on the internet dont know how to be grateful so I dont blame the subbers if they get tired of this kind of people and just give up subbing. Also, they have a life outside of subbing and sometimes they have to give up subbing in order to focus on more important things like family, work, studies, etc.

Yeah, someone said something similar to what you said. After thinking about it, that person has a point. This kind of drama gets popular because it provides fan service and hot scenes and some people are just looking for that. And because of that reason I keep having this kind of drama be recommended to me and making me believe that a lot of recent dramas are like this.

But I do have at least 5 jdramas in my plan-to-watch list that have good plots so I know that not all jdramas are like this one.

I think this idea I had that most recent dramas are like this came from the fact that jdramas have only 1 episode released a week and subs can take longer than they take for other Asian dramas so I do not watch enough jdramas a year to see things clearly.

I guess this could be to someone’s liking but I would rather watch something with more depth. I personally dont even consider this kind of drama as romance. For me romance does not happen just because you have people on screen making out. There needs to be feelings involved. But that is just my point of view.

You mentioned things like infidelity/sexual content are common in western shows, and you are absolutely right. And that is one of the main reasons I watch Asian dramas. I am tired of love being depicted as sexual attraction. Its not the same thing. Yes, sexual attraction is also important but it should not be the main thing that is shown in a show to prove that the characters are in love.

I need them to spend time together, that is not making out or having sex, and showing their care for each other in practical ways for me to believe that these characters are in love. Otherwise, I dont buy it.

I dont actively look for new jdramas so I just check out the ones that show up. I guess it is like you said, for some reason they are the kind of dramas that are popular and get recommended to me. Says a lot about people’s preferences nowadays. They would rather watch some fan service with hot scenes than an actual well-written plot with good acting. Sigh

By recent I mean in the past few years, not necessarily 2020 or 2021. I have quite a few jdramas on my plan to watch list that I believe should be good. But yeah, lately I have come across way too many jdramas like this one. I agree that for someone new these kinds of dramas really do paint a bad picture.

Unfortunately, as someone who has been watching dramas for 11 years, I have noticed jdramas in the past few years are going towards a trend of infidelity and sexual content with very superficial plots. :(

Of course, this does not mean that every jdrama is following this trend. But definitely way more than what I would have expected.
