Ahh you're right. I never thought it like that since I finished the novel without waiting for seasons...lol. But I understand how it can be frustrating waiting for the villains to be slayed or hero to be triumph.

The drama is based on a novel. In the novel the MC actually time traveled, but since time travel drama is banned in China, the only way to get around that genre is to have a different plot. I.e the 'writer' is writing a story.

Lol. For antagonist character like her, I'd rather she stays alive for as long as possible. Only then can the drama be more interesting. Also she's very smart, manipulative and scheming. I kinda liked her character in the novel. The actress portraying her is doing an excellent job, too. Prettiest Lady in Qing Kingdom indeed!

Ah sorry, I misread that. Yes, Li Yunrui will also die. Based on the novel, she did many things for the Qing Kingdom but if you look at it another way she also harms the Kingdom. In her mind, whatever she did was for the Kingdom but it harmed too many people. Yan Bingyun captured in Qi was because of her. She wanted to take down Fan Xian so she revealed that Qing had a secret agent who is Yan Bingyun. She does this so Zhang Moshang from Qi will agree to help her take down Fan Xian. It failed. But still she endangered the spy network. This was just one of the major thing she did. She also betrayed the Emperor in the end. She suicided when caught by Fan Xian.

He dies in the novel, not sure about the drama.

CPP wants Fan Xian to inherit the Overwatch Council as it it Ye Qingmei's legacy, and also if he inherited the council, then CPP can protects him better. Everyone knows that the council is CPP and CPP is the council. Emperor is using Fan Xian to train his other Princes, and also sharping Fan Xian into the political world. Fan Jian wants Fan Xian to just live a normal, politic, and carefree life so he wanted him to inherit the Treasury, also because it was once Ye Qingmei's. Although inheriting the Treasury will eventually set him onto the political path anyways.

Overall I would say CPP/Fan Jian and the minimal exposure of Fei Jei, all 3 cares a great deal about Fan Xian. Qing Emperor cares about Fan Xian too, but I would say its 40% care and 60% using him as a tool to sharpen other Princes and Fan Xian.

The Emperor is afraid of Ye Qingmei's idea. Her idea is that everyone should be equal, even the Emperor himself. That kind of idea in a period of Kings and Queens are taboo. She also have grown powerful, had the support of many people closes to her i.e CPP, Wu Zhu, Fan Jian etc. She wanted to envision a world where there's no hierarchy system.

1. Empress Dowager of Northern Qi did not born a son, so she had to facade her daughter as a son. She only let a handful of palace maids or eunuch know of the 'Emperor' identity.
2. Ye Liyun from the Ye clan in Jindou. Hu Ke from Northern Qi also Hai Tang's master. Sigu Jian of Dongyi Sword Hut. And the last Grandmaster is supposedly be unknown but people speculate it is Hong Eunuch of Qing's palace (It is not).
3. Si Lili is alive and well.

I pmed you the link. The novel is completely different from the adaptation. It also has much more lengthy information. Also, in the novel it stated that Ye Qingmei first popped out of the 'Temple' as the appearance of a 4-5 years old kid. So I am wondering, how could a 4-5 years old kid possibly....be all that? Unless using my wild imagination, I would say that the Temple raised a bunch of super kids..? Lol. Other theory is that the body of a 4-5 years old kid is acting as an Avatar. An Avatar that can host people that time traveled? If that it so, it explains how Fan Xian traveled to the new born Fan Xian of this world. Currently the Temple is still a mystery to me. I am about 2/3 way done with the novel

Your deduction is very sound without having read the novel. I am currently reading the novel and evidence pointed out that Fan Xian's mother had used some kind of device to travel between worlds. I am calling it worlds because I am not certain if it is the same Earth or just a parallel universe. The "Holy Temple" that Fan Xian's mother popped out of, could possible be a spaceship of some sort. If Ye Qingmei actually from the past with the technology able for her to travel into the future, then that also explains the M28? rifle she brought with her. Although if she had a device that could travel time, why not bring more gun or equipment. I would have to read the rest and find out!

You should definitely read the novel. I am reading it at the moment. Alottttt more information to digest than its drama counterpart. Novel is about 750~ chapters long. Pretty lengthy hahaha.

It has some humor, but since this is a drama, the humor has translated far better because we can see character's facial expression, music, sounds effects, etc. As far as adaptation goes, the only thing that's mostly the same are characters, personalities, and some events. Otherwise, the drama merged some character, plot, and made some events happened ahead of what they are supposed to be. I enjoyed Mao Ni's work, so I do recommend reading the novel. Fair warning, there are lengthy texts, and this is due to novel describing an events, conspiracy, environment/world. The actors/actresses in this drama portrayed the characters very well, very similar to what I would imagine them in the novel.
