That last scene was written by the same person who wrote the initial episodes. You cannot convince me otherwise. The level is just different.

Wow, a lot of the things you said were exactly how I felt during the first half of the drama. Specially the pacing.
Idk how can something be called slow when a lot happen every episode.
And I also had a hard time feeling a few of the performances.

Maybe it's just me but I never felt a hint of a love triangle in this, up until that weird Ao Yin incident.
It's a trope I try to avoid.

ZYZ was about to say/clarify something about going to the forbidden area. But stopped when he saw her hopeful smile at ZYC. That gives me anxiety. Last time this happened (ZYC saw her smile because of their newfound hope for ZYZ), ZYC went to fight ZY alone and this happened.
