people who say ML and FL have no chemistry just say whatever at this point 😭 and i just KNOW the ones who say…
Tbh in most dramas with bromance, the male leads do have much more chemistry than the main couple (like Warrior Baek Dong Soo). And there's a reason for that. But FoF is not one of those imo. At least not so far. The glances and dialogues ZYZ and WX exchange, specially their scenes in the initial episodes suggest nothing but affection.
And sorry to be blunt, but the male leads' chemistry feels a bit one-sided in comparison. It's been only ZYZ flirting and going out of his way to protect ZYC. And that's understandable. It's probably gonna change a lot later on.
I really wanted to like this because I loved The Blood of Youth unfortunately I got 5 episodes in and could no…
Exactly how I feel about this. And while I didn't expect Langya to be a protagonist for this (I did expect it to be mostly about BDJ), I didn't expect (or appreciate) them sidelining his character and the guardians so much.
From the character web chart it seems there’s a girl connected to him so maybe it’s why he’s like that?…
Yeah. Either he was internally wicked and something triggered it to the surface or he was a normal guy and something extremely traumatic happened to him. I used to think it had to do with ZYZ, but based on recent episodes and what you said, seems like it's rather related to the goddess and her token.
There was a very short character intro from the actor who played Li Lun. He explained in the intro that Li Lun…
*Not a spoiler. Just sensitive words.
Writers often know whether they want the audience to sympathize with their villain to some degree or hate him/her completely. If it's the former, then there are certain few lines the villain shouldn't cross. At least that's how it is for me. (Of course I don't mean causing chaos and grief. That's normal for a villain.) Things like Mindr*ping, SA and intentionally killing children are closer to what I had in mind.
Li Lun seemed to be one of those villains I usually end up sympathizing with later into the story, but this guy's constant use of THE most despicable method, aka completely taking away another's mind and free will, is increasingly disgusting.
Every artist's end goal is to have a distinct style people instantly recognize. Doesn't make them bad at their craft. Nor does the fact that there's always someone better. Most (as in 90% of the) directors seem to have no identity and stick to safe and repetitive tropes tried by others.

Fully enjoying a drama again was a pleasant surprise.
