Which actor has generation provided or which of your family member has appear on TV screen or news paper or even…
"Going hard on your ancestor" 😂🤣
(You don't need to have an actor in the family to be allowed to criticize a drama)

if you enjoy sfd you might enjoy the long ballad as well. it's a cdrama, and they kinda share the similar values…
Oh you're right 😄 She does look like him with that outfit while LSH himself looks so different here lol

Thanks a lot for putting in time and explaining. True, romance is usually not my thing. Although dramas not centering on romance are ok.
Yeah. MDL tags and genres are sometimes inaccurate or missing. From your description sounds like both dramas have fallen victim to this. I'll definitely give myself a chance with them and let you know how it worked.

Oh TLB and My Dearest's had always given me good vibes. The only reason I didn't start them was they were just tagged romance (no action, suspense or mystery).
Are they exciting? I usually don't watch romance unless it's either very unique or very fast paced.
(P. S. Believe it or not, I haven’t read or watched Gone With the Wind yet 😅)

About the poster, yeah. Allow me to rant a bit (plz don't read if you're busy). I believe it's because of the color contrast and that it has one point of focus and the golden robe guides one's eyes to that, which is her. It's pleasing, yet mysterious, because her back is to us. One only notices the man's head later, which is a bit of a shock and adds to the mystery. The new poster's elements, however, are all over the place. Might be they were going for the golden ratio but the placements feel forced. Remove the pictures with rectangle frames and it's a decent poster.

Noone knows for sure which one is the closest, but among his upcoming dramas, the one who already passed censorships…
This is exactly the info I needed. Thanks a lot^^

Yea i agree .. blame the new director… it’s different director and budget from TBOY. Luckily dark river is…
I agree that's promising. Although the lack of a writer's name and casting a popular idol actor worries me, but let's see. If that one does well, I recon there'll be even more hope for a season 2 for TBOY.

see no different in cgi quality between this and boy, also acting wise, the story and characters seems more interesting…
Pretty big spoilers for TBOY:

LHY's performance wasn't perfect but it was good enough to make it distinct and show he understood the character. Xiao Se is someone who's wounded and deep down he cares about it but puts up a facade of indifference and arrogance. If you saw him as sulky and trying to look indifferent, it actually means the actor did well.

That's the whole point. For us to watch him grow from sulky arrogant looking prince who trusts no one and wishes to raze Tianqi city, to the guy who sacrificed his cultivation for his friends and in a most dire situation asked his teacher to promise, "no matter what happens to me, Tianqi comes first".

I agree about the chemistry. But at least the female characters were huge helps rather than being annoying or useless. I can accept the leads loving admirable women even if the chemistry feels lacking.

The bad guy kept changing in TBOY. It wasn't as one dimensional and cliche as DY. By the end, it felt like the real bad guy in TBOY was human greed. Several characters stopped being a threat after overcoming that. Some even became an ally. So not sure who you mean was weak. If you mean the one who technically killed the king and ruined MC's cultivation with one strike, or the one who had an army, the world's top swordmaster and a way to enhance martial artists and make them his slave, these two weren't weak at all in terms of power.

Can anybody let me know a list of all the phases you can become in this story.
Not sure if it's different in DY, but in TBOY, the phases are:
Phrase 1: Sturdy Phase of Mortal
Phrase 2: Carefree Phase of Earth
Phrase 3: Insouciant Phase of Heaven
Phrase 4: Unbeatable Phase of Arcana

Aside from being less realistic, the cgi overshadows the fight choreography. That's the difference. You can see Tang Lian's fight scene and compare.

Most important characters in TBOY were clever and had multiple layers to them. Characters in DY make stupid mistakes and their development feels weak. You don't see the process of them learn and grow.

Isn't Wuxin a monk?
No I meant it as a joke because everything was already discussed.
But after reading it again I just realized my wording was harsh. I'm sorry. I'll delete my reply.

i recommend Goryeo - Khitan War. it’s mature, cinematography was beautiful, & the political intrigue was super…
Sounds interesting and I love good visual work. Will go for it TY🍀

I'd recommend it. One of the best sageuks (if not THE best) out there imo. It has a deep story and interesting characters. Perfect combination of realism and fiction (I dislike realism that turns the whole thing into a documentary). The actors owned their roles.
And like AnkitS said, its fight scenes are very rare in Kdrama

I should mention tho, it has a couple of moments you might find disturbing (not gory).

Please be good! I'm in dire need for a good historical. Nothing has been working for me after SFD.
Btw, the previous poster was very good. Why change it to something amateurish like this one?

What a refreshing and fun article! It's also quite interesting to read the thoughts behind the lovely pages.
I only wish we could visit these profiles directly by clicking on their names/pictures in the article (or maybe we can, but my browser can't).

This is seriously itching me to also invest time on a presentable bio, not just here, but in every website where my bio is boring hahaha

More than Halfway through and still can't feel the two leads' acting. Even though their visuals fit their roles.
MC has improved a little bit albeit very slowly. Granted, there's not a lot for him to portray, but that goes for half the cast.

But I think SCF's writing and portrayal is really well done. I instantly knew who he was and could totally imagine him becoming the dramatic but wise, daring and caring spear deity in TBOY.
