Once again we got another suspect. Feels like Joowon is asking wrong questions, and Dongsik is for some reason…
The way he just drops him just like that to save his ass was really shitty of him so it was extra heart-wrenching to see Joowon find some warmth from the people he least expect to get it from.
Exactly. And I have a nagging feeling that the writer didn't just put that for the laughs. The way every scene is done feels like it's been filmed with deliberate choices. For example, in Ep 2, PJJ draws HJW as a deer. In Ep 3, HJW is drinking a whiskey that has a deer logo on it.
My heart broke seeing him have major trust issues when the Manyang cops came to his rescue. He's a kid who grew…
Aww thanks! Absolutely! Also the part where he swallows his pride for the first time and asks someone he knows is totally scheming POS for a favor because of what LDS told him about throwing rules and principles... I can already picture a major growth for HJW coming our way. I'm looking forward to the two of them teaming up full time without trust issues hindering the two of them.
Once again we got another suspect. Feels like Joowon is asking wrong questions, and Dongsik is for some reason…
OMG yes!! I said the same stuff too in my previous comments! My heart hurt so much that he's in such a disbelief that they will help him out without anything in return. I can just imagine the way he grew up that led him to be the man that is so distrustful and calculating of other people. But I love that the people in Manyang, especially LDS is slowly reaching out to him...
And IKR! YJG mentioned this show is full of foreshadowing and PJJ hallucinating killing a person that looked like a deer and then drawing HJW as a deer is just crazy.
Tbh, i dont enjoy the drama. Since episode 1, they dont focus on looking for suspect and evidence. All they have…
This drama is more character-driven hence the focus is more on the relationships of the characters within the show with a serial murder case in the background. It's also more of a show than tell in terms of execution. You may think all their conversations is simply about LDS constantly provoking HJW, but to me, there's a lot of subtext involved in their dialogues and as a viewer you will have to read between the lines. Everytime LDS and HJW have a talk, they learn more about one another's motivation. I really appreciate that their team up is quite a slow-burn and not immediate. Scenes where they actually help one another feels more realistic and satisfying that way.
I don't think they talk in circles at all. In the first week, we learn that HJW suspects LDS as the serial murderer, in the second week, HJW realizes LDS is not the murderer and is actually protecting someone else. And this week in Ep 5 for instance revealed HJW's actual motivations for his desperation in finding the murderer.
"Yes, I did a sting operation. Yes, I'm the one who pushed her to her death. I did all of those things so I'm going to catch him. Even if everybody forgets, even if nobody looks for Lee Geum Hwa, I'm going to catch him because I do remember! Before another jerk like me kills another person, before that happens, I need to catch that bastard. So tell me. Whether you believe me or not, Lee Dongshik! Who is that bastard?"
I personally like that it challenges me as a viewer and it really feels like I'm reading a novel with unreliable narrators, but at the same time, I also can sense that the clues have all been set up. Also I'm in love with how every character has so much layers.
Anyway it is totally understandable that this show may not just be for you and that's completely fine too.
So Park Jung Je went to the mental hospital cos he hallucinated killing a person that looked like a deer... and in the second episode he drew Han Joo Won as a deer.
Yeo Jin Goo said this show is filled with foreshadowings... I do hope it isn't one of those. ;;-;;
Well it will actually kinda be awesome if it happens tbh... but I'm not sure if I can take another YJG character death. He's like Sean Bean at this point and he's just 23 yo!
Even though Joo Won acts arrogant sometimes, I feel sorry for him. His father is a collosal jerk. What kind of…
My heart broke seeing him have major trust issues when the Manyang cops came to his rescue. He's a kid who grew up with people only trying to get to his good side so they can use him for his connections. He eventually decided to build a huge wall firsthand instead and he has now become the insufferable and privileged man that he is in the present.
Little by little we are watching his character grow so hopefully he will become a much better person by the end of the show.
No, his apology was very vague. He didn't specifically admit to bullying or sexual assault. He appeared to be…
It's just the article writer who put the school bullying, not him. His exact apology is a general statement apologizing for his dark past and unforgivable actions. The sexual assault allegations are very serious and very damaging, I'm sure he wouldn't leave out his denial on that if he didn't really do it. He's pretty much admitting to everything.
Don't blame the victims for speaking up right when he has an on-going drama. Blame HIM for for being a loathsome POS who made a lot of people suffer in the first place. It's not the victims' fault. It's his fault and HIS alone. Stop living in a bubble cos the emotional trauma the victims had to go through doesn't compare in the very least bit to you not being able to finish watching a kdrama. Don't belittle his past actions just because he said sorry (only after he got caught).
I feel sorry for everyone else who is suffering right now because they ended up ever crossing paths with such a dirty trash.
What he did to others extends far beyond just bullying. It was downright cruel and disturbing. Not to mention…
Some people in this comment section acting like... "he just sexually assaulted people guysss!!! people chANgEEE!!!!! Didn't you do bad things in your past too like FILM HIDDEN CAMS AND SPREAD IT AROUND and mAKE UR CLASSMATES m*STURBATE AND Ej*cUlate at each other?? Where's your childhood guise!? a-and HE SAID SORRY!!! HOW CAN YOU ALL BE SO CRUEL?!?! THE VICTIMS ARE THE DEVIL ONES COS I CANT WATCH MY FAVE DRAMA NO MORE!!!!"
This is why I hate social media. People become convicted without all the evidence being heard or any other facts.…
Stuff he did and apologized for as part of his "dark past" just FYI: "He slapped me on the subway back from a field trip in middle school just because he was in a bad mood", "He acted like he was the king of the school and would pick fights with other students for no reason, slapping them around and swearing at them", "He made me take his test for him by giving me his OMR card or test papers", "He urinated inside the class trash can", "He would force male students to m*sturbate and make them e*aculate on their face or mouths", "He filmed himself having intercourse with a middle schooler in a bathroom and shared the video with his friends while laughing about it", "He would proudly talk about all the girls he 'threw away' after sleeping with."
"hE diDn't aPoLogIzE fOr sExuAl aLlEgAtiOns!111!!!!!!"
Are you guys for fucking real???? Wouldn't he deny those very serious allegations if he actually didn't do them? Are you people seriously that desperate to cling onto your oppa? Unbelievable.
It's not exactly obsessiveness when you look at it from Han Joo Won's POV and follow his timeline of investigation.
He is investigating the serial murders of illegal aliens at the Foreign Affairs Division in January. Based on the said serial murder having similarities to the case in Manyang from 20 years ago, he thinks Lee Dong Shik could be a possible suspect too. He then places an illegal immigrant (Lee Geum Hwa) as a bait to lure the killer. He tells Lee Geum Hwa to text him the number 1 as soon as Lee Dong Shik comes to see him. And then, on the day of Lee Geum Hwa's disappearance in March she texts him 111111111 and isn't seen again. Of course given their code together, there's no doubt he'd think Lee Dong Shik has something to do with it. He then finally goes to Manyang in October and finds Lee Geum Hwa's body. So there is this urgency for him to catch Lee Dong Shik and all he needs is a concrete proof.
I ship Joowon and Jaeyi so bad I don't care if this isn't a romance genre :)
Their chemistry from the moment she asked him to park his car properly was already on fire.
Nothing's gonna come out of it most probably. I'd be happy enough if they get an ending like Byul and Woojin from Circle, but I doubt it. But yeah my heart likes the two of them already, it's too late for me. Go save yourselves. Or maybe not. They're cute wth.
Might I tempt you with another Yeo Jin Goo drama called Circle: Two Connected Worlds? I highly recommend that…
Yeah, I agree HDL is just okay for me storywise.
If you want pure acting masterclass from Yeo Jin Goo, The Crowned Clown and his movie Hwayi are what I highly recommend. He also did really well in Circle and the story of that drama is really good and well thought out from start to finish.
