Idk but I'm actually pretty hopeful for a season 2! i mean it makes sense, there is a second book, the drama was well received and popular (internationally for sure, idk about interstate) i mean, that's a pretty good set up for a season 2. Not to mention japan always does sequels (the novelist had like 5 prequels and sequels lol) i don't wanna get my hoped too high but i'm still hopeful :D
Talking about democracy but then petition to silence the opposite opinion is not democratic. The drama might offend…
I'm sorry but how is a petition to cancel a series the difference between democracy and dictatorship? Democracy only works with a conflict of ideas, if everyone were to conform to one idea that wouldn't be democracy, democracy isn't based on one series being cancelled. And the drama did offend people that were harmed by the dictatorship, that's why there was a petition for it. for a petition to garner so much attention, there is obviously a concern here. and while your comment about how "all voices have the right to be heard even if they offend us." is coming from a genuine place, what about the victims voices? they're not being heard, and it's obvious, with them losing the case that money and power won over the victims and citizens concerns? so how about we try listening to them for once? why waste time on opinions that we know are offensive? i feel that if your not part of the offended group, why should you try and speak for them? why should you say that they may not be offended when they have clearly stated so? why aren't you listening to their voice?
Some of the comments here are actually disgusting. This isn't a work of fiction. this is a story based on true events. Actual people, victims, had suffered through years of pain and torture for a voice, all for the chance of a better life. Children, mothers, father, grandparents were raped, tortured and killed under the authoritarian regime and this drama is downplaying it all. The main writer of this show is very much pro right wing so I think that says it all. The fact that some of you have the audacity to call the people who filed the petition "haters" or "antis" just goes to show you own idiocy. The world doesn't revolve around your idols. Not everyone is out to get your idols so please stop acting like that's the case. It's invalidating actual people with actual concerns. For a petition to get so much agreement, it's obvious there is a legitimate concern here. This show clearly affects the people there and it doesn't matter whether your favourite actor/actress is in it. You guys aren't the affected party of this show. most of you people aren't the ones who had to watch the suffering people went through so keep quiet and let the actually affected people speak.
And just a side note here: some of y'all really has to resort to racism to try and get your "point" across huh? you should honestly be ashamed.
I literally wanna cry right now (happy tears lol) I love time travel/new world drama's and when I heard this was coming out I was so excited! not to mention Jun from A.C.E is in this I literally went ape shit! I've been a huge fan of A.C.E ever since they did the OST for light on me and I was so excited to see Jun is a bl. the only complain I have is it so short! I really hope they find a way to bring a cohesive story together with only 8 eps! the first episode is really promising so I'm really hope it works out :D
ugh I NEED a season 2 of this lmao. It was so well done and for such a short series, it held so much emotion. It honestly encapsulated me from the very start.
This was dark. it was raw and so real that I felt so heavy at times. It's so scary how accurate it was when it came to displaying different topics. It a powerful reminder of how real some the issues it portray are. it's an impactful and amazing show no doubt, and it is super well done, but I don't think I can watch this again. maybe in a year or so I might come back but honestly this was super heavy. As amazing as this show was, I definitely recommend that you mentally prepare because this show take you to an entirely different headspace.
That fire scene is ingrained into my brain. it was so beautiful and artistically done! every shot was mesmerizing, especially the first scene of when the fire spread.
Totally agree. I waited until I had seen 5 full episodes before leaving a review. But I knew I loved it even before…
I get giving the series a review 5 episodes in because, logically speaking, all the episodes are 20 minutes long, so the idea that last episodes could monumentally change the whole series is pretty unlikely. I hope a lot more people put in positive reviews because it truly deserves it! I would totally give a review after the series ends but I don't know how to :( I really hope we get a season two considering there's two book so fingers crossed :D
Hang on, I'm confused here. I went to go check out the reviews because even though there was so much positive feedback, the rating weren't changing at all. When I went to check, the first rating was given by someone who had dropped the show. They had gotten 3 episodes in before dropping it, giving it an overall score of 7.5. My question why are people allowed to rate the show WHILE it's still airing. I mean if you haven't completed it then, in my personal opinion, I don't think you should be allowed to give a rating. firstly, you can't give an accurate rating, seeing as you've only gotten halfway through the show and, especially with this show, what if the show improved? what if it became better? the rating you've given impacts the score, and the score impact the number of viewers. secondly, it's really not fair. I mean, I'm biased since I love this show but even speaking without bias, it isn't fair. it truly is an amazing show if you give it the chance and I really feel like the rating isn't an accurate representation of the show. More than anything, I'm confused. why are you even allowed to rate a show before it even aired, and why are you allowed to rate a show if you've dropped it. no wonder there's so much bias on this site :/
Ok go off sis. Kinda weird to put so much time into into a show you obviously dislike and the stuff about Nanon…
my self esteem is great thank you, and thank you so much for waiting :) now let me quote basically all of your comments proving me right. to start off your first sentence basically explains where you said you were right and everyone else was 'wrong'. ". Just dropping in to post as a slight corrective to all the posts below claiming this show as wonderful, awesome, whatever. It is absolutely terrible." I mean unless you can't read, it's pretty obvious you think everyone else is wrong in liking the show and your right in hating it. a better way of 'expressing an opinion' would be to leave everyone else out of it. next, the fact you had to ask " who on earth did I attack or insult or malign or call names" is a reflection of your own personality and, to be honest, thick headedness. Now, since you asked so kindly, I would've loved to have wasted my time copying and pasting every one of your replies to show you but I've decided to just tell you to direct your eyes to every comment you've made and you'll find plenty of times that you've attacked, insulted, maligned or call somebody names. Just a note, sarcastic insults are still insults hun. anyway I think the question you should be asking is if we touched a nerve because the only hyper sensitive person here is you :)
lmao that's totally fine. I guess it's time to do to a deep dive of twitter lol. I'm so surprised that they're going to have a sex scene. I don't think I'll ever be ready to watch that lmao.

I mean I get that you don't like it, but to try and tell everyone else that they're wrong and you're right isn't going to help. okay so what if people like this show, you don't have to as well. I personally love the show, but I respect the fact that you don't, however there's no need to try and state it as a fact. no this show isn't terrible, you just don't like it. please respect other people's opinions and try to be civil. there's no need to go attacking everyone else.
this looks amazing but the cheating doesn't sit right with me. hopefully we're just misunderstanding it or the directors have just edited it like that.
