I really do hope that Rong Zhi didn’t actually loose his memory or loves his concubine. Oh, I really don’t…
They didn't explicitly explain how she lost her memories but I assumed that the sorcerer (who secretly liked her) somehow brainwashed her memories, in order to prove to the organisation that she still has potential worth as their chess piece (and to spare her from getting killed by them)

I'm glad that helped! To answer your question, it's the latter - Zhu Que (who goes by the name Liu Chuyu since everyone knows her as the princess) and Rong Zhi! God knows where's the real princess, hahaha.
Can someone elaborate the plot of this drama? The synopsis is kind of confusing. Thank you!
Basically, a secret organisation wants to overthrow the current tyrannical emperor, Liu Ziye. To do so, they sent a spy, Zhi Que, who's a princess lookalike on a mission to replace her (real princess, Liu Chuyu = emperor's favourite older sister) and to ultimately kill the emperor.
The princess has her own male harem because she was envious of the emperor's harem, and one of them called Rong Zhi in particular is very much favoured by the princess. Rong Zhi is actually from a different kingdom of Northern Wei.
Their relationship is complex because it's basically a stubborn mind game of push and pull where they use each other to achieve their goals. After the downfall of the tyrannical emperor, they separated but the story develops into how they find their way back to each other despite everything.
very disappointing with the rest of the drama later on after they changed the plot different to the novel. He…
I just watched the trailer video that you linked and as you said, the Chinese viewers seem to be equally as disappointed in the comments because they turned the drama adaption into a comedy mess, false advertising the beautiful posters. It's a shame but I'll try to follow the drama for the time being.
The girl with curly pig tails portrays the same character personality as Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo's Nanhee, they even used the same Messi question concept looool
Glorious, powerful, glamorous, luxurious, empowering, would be the few of many words to describe her historical dramas. Other examples such as Empress of China and Lady of the Dynasty.
back again to comment how much I love ZDY! She's so adorable and very flexible with all her roles, she literally executes each character's personality perfectly! So proud that 99% of her projects are main roles~
Am I the only one who constantly thinks that the male lead badly needs a new haircut? His messy mop was so distracting lmfao, c'mon we're about to enter 2018, this hairstyle should've been left in 2012!!
